Anita Baker invites Regina Belle for a live rendition of "You Bring Me Joy" live at Merriweather Post Pavilion for the Capital Jazz Fest in Columbia, MD. Two of the best voices ever, and both have aged better than 99% of the singers around today. I mean listen to this. Regina and Anita can do a tour all their own.
Anita has a concert coming up in June in Vegas 2022.
Their singing could not never get old for me. Their songs are everlasting. These songs bring joy to my heart when I am feeling down. Their songs instantly lifts me back up into that World of happiness. A great place to be.

I was there. It rained ALL DAY. My friends and I almost didn't go but were determined to see Anita Baker. God introduced us to an older couple as we were getting prepared to sit in the rain. They were leaving and asked us where we were sitting. We told them on the lawn. The husband said we would not make it and gave us 4 seats in the pavilion. Talk about favor!! It was AMAZING to witness in person.
I was there too!!! In the Pavillion left side. It flooded some then a young lady swept debris off the drain so it wasn't a disaster. 😂😂😂 I believe Bob James and Anita did an impromptu performance! She is fabulous!!!!

I love to hear music when its organic, unrehearsed, raw/uncut, and spontaneous, it penetrates the soul and makes for a great show. Actually for those who ''know'' Regina, that is just her voice. She's also a well trained/studied accomplished jazz vocalist! She and Anita were just what we were blessed with musically in the 80's. AS well as so many others. Because then you had to ''SANG"!
Both these women have a velvet , strong voice . Regina is a trained opera singer , so her voice can be projected with force. Anita's voice is smooth , they make great duo . Truly put a smile on my face - joy ! 👍🏻❤

When you hear a real pro in person it is amazing. I heard one of the best jazz singers ever in Vegas at a Charity event. Her voice was so powerful, had great tone, and she didn't even need a microphone. I will never forget it. Anita is one of my all time favorites too, I know most of the words to a lot of her songs.
