Whoever produced this segment should have received a Grammy. This is Soul Train's best tribute to date (the others aren't remotely close). All singers were awesome. No one is mentioning Dionne Farris! She killed it.
Yeeesssss! ❤
I agree 💯 Goapele gave me goosebumps.
Stopped me cold in my tracks!! I was NOT expecting Dionne Farris to knock it out the park like that!! I wanted more! Her part was much too short!

I regularly come to this video JUST to see Dionne kill it.
This was hands down, over the top performance. Period. My only regret: I just wish I were in there during that memorable concert. The best tribute I watched so far. That's why I keep coming back here and watching it again.
Kem and Rachelle were amazing didn’t even recognize the song. Let me go get my tickets for 2023 tour ❤
Do not UNDERESTIMATE the power of prayer. I saw rehearsal footage of this by Dionne Farris and all of the singers got together backstage in a circle and prayed beforehand. That's why this is arguably the best tribute EVER. FACTS.
EVER!!! Forever and ever! 💯🙌🏽
Yes indeed
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
PRAYED TO WHO? GOD.
GOD IS THE DEVIL
THE FATHER ALL MIGHTY IS HOLY.
HE WOULD NEVER SHARE A NAME WITH SATAN.
HE IS HOLY. PERIOD.
@@messengerofthecovenant6982, god is THE DEVIL! GOD, 'ALMIGHTY', (THE MOST High God, YAHWEH), THE "I AM that I AM" (IS) THE HOLY one!
HE SAID, " *BE* 👉🏾*YE HOLY* ,
*FOR 'I AM' HOLY!* " 😊
SO, *HE'S AWESOME!!!* 🙌🏾
Mindblowing Tamia gave me chills. This tribute was awesome. Every body slayed
Yeahhsss
Omg so many years later this tribute still gives me chills . This is how you give a tribute , every artist gave it their all to salute a legend
Whoever put this arrangement of artists together with Ms. Anita's songs are genius! You can literally hear her influence in each artist's singing style when you think about their work. Just perfect! *chef's kiss 😩❤❤❤
El Debarge can still hit them notes like nobody's business! One of the best performances given. Love me some El!

Anita Baker’s appreciation and joy is perfection. She soaked it all in and was loving every minute of it.
