Would rather own an Ibanez RS II than a fender HSS though.

    So now a hardcore blink fan's point of view here: The self titled album came out in November 2003. Feeling this music video, was shot in September of 2003 first time Tom plays his signature ES-333 in a video. Both Summer Sonic Japan & Reading Festival UK & a buncha others take place in August 2003 where Tom plays his brown signature Gibson. So fuck yeah these were built in 2003. The first prototype had an orange racing stripe, could've been built even in late 2002! He used a regular red ES-335 throughout Boxcar Racer in 2002 off of which his signature guitar was based off.

    • @SlimeyGuitarStrings
      @SlimeyGuitarStrings 3 года назад +2

      I'm not going to defend every boutique pickup manufacturer, but as I understand it some manufacturers try to do reproductions that are as close as possible. This means tracking down wire you cannot actually buy, original pickup winders that Gibson used, and sometimes pay huge prices for components to cover fines from the EPA the manufacturer will face for making those parts.
      I find it hard to complain about the price of people building reproductions of something from 60 years ago when they are trying to accurately recreate the end goal. That doesn't mean I'm interested in them, but I think it's nice the option exists for people who are interested.

    People think the shipping price is proportional to whatever insane asking price they slap on to their guitar. Just because a guitar is "worth" $20,000 doesn't mean it costs any more to ship than a $300 guitar. To ship domestically it should cost no more than $150-200, and internationally, maybe $300. if you're claiming it costs more to ship than that, and you're already charging $10,000, take the difference out of your inflated profit. Or be sneaky and add the shipping into the overall price. People end up looking so stupid and greedy with these shipping prices that make no sense.
