I am a doctor and discovered your channel during the height of the pandemic shut down. My days were filled with caring for sick and anxious patients and your channel was one bright spot in my otherwise depressing and stressful life. When I hear the music starting and ending your videos it makes me happy. I love to watch the makeovers, but just hearing your music makes my day brighter.
This is such a nice message. Thank you for all you and the health care does for all of us ❤️
Thank you for what you do! Much love and thanks
Yes, I love the music. So upbeat. 💞
I love that music too!!!
@kimberlyallen6582
That was so nice to read! I'm so glad something helped you get through such a hard time especially for a doctor. Although I'm sure you have a really nice big home! , I watch these bc this is what I can afford...well, not so much anymore, my studio was $500/mo but now they are as much as a one bedroom! Thank you so very much for all your help and services when the pandemic hit. We all REALLY appreciate you!!! 😘 XOXO
The squiggle molding looks like a large version of the photo frame around the peephole in Monica and Rachel’s apartment on friends.
Omg spot on 😂
Not a fan.
The inspiration pictures were so pretty! I feel like the olive green and mustard were more 70s vibes than the pastel aesthetic the client liked 😔
I agree, I dont think she really followed the inspiration and wishes of the client in this makeover when it came to the color scheme. The inspiration pictures were so nice and felt more fresh and "happy" instead of these more earthy colors (total 70's vibe). The shape of the furniture and details were on point, just the colors that where a bit off.
I absolutely love the makeover, as always! I was a little disappointed that more of the aqua/turquoise from the client's inspo wasn't used. I know Alexandra loves pink, and the client was obviously happy, but those blues were beautiful. I would have loved to see more of that color, and not so much pink, even in future makeovers.
i love the pink.
true
The client says she loves pink and purple. Alexandra is a good listener.
The candle looks like polyps. Very organic touch❤
I’m not a licensed interior designer or anything but I want to join your team so bad! This is exactly what I want to do for my job now that I’ve graduated! Keep up the great content.
Aww you can do it Henry!
Me too. Love from India
@@AlexandraGaterAlexandra I'm an aspiring interior designer and will complete my graduation in 5-6 years... Please I am really requesting you to reserve a spot for me in your team.
You can do it Henry!! Just please, don't turn into a yuppie snob. The reason I love Alexandra so much, is because she keeps it real.
💓💓💓
Absolutely beautiful!!!!
I love you and your team and the channel!!! I don’t understand how your not at 1 million subscribers, what’s wrong with people! The quality of your content is incredible! OBSESSED and I appreciate you and all the work you guys do! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I so agree!
I think they should do the before and after shorts. They usually attract a LOT of new viewers. This channel is definitely ready for primetime. The content is stellar. The host is lively, warm and engaging. The pinned references for products and materials are helpful, and the results are real life terrific.
100000% agree!
I agree
I agree!!!
She had an apartment before , but you all gave her a home. ❤ I love it!!
I think her studio looks really great. Although there is very little green from her original inspo boards which I thought were very botantical. She has all that amazing light and could have had so many more plants. I love everything you do and hate saying anything negative but feel that we could have replaced the mustard colors with greens. The furniture is perfect. You are so talented.
I came here to say the same thing, I know Alexandra's color is pink but I think she let that over run this design more when it should have based on the inspo.
Edit: it seems I missed that the client said her favorite colors were pink and purple but I still dont think that means Alexandra should have ignored the inspo so much. Just because someones favorite color is pink doesnt mean they want to live in it.
Holy pastels! 🤯 y’all did an outstanding job with every single element of this makeover. The colors! The furniture selection! The lighting! The wallpaper! It all blends together so beautifully and seamlessly.
Y’all breathed a fresh breath of life into this studio apartment. Lovely job!
The one thing I wish y'all would do is play more with the tech aesthetics like custom keyboards, painted monitors, mouses and desk mats. This was one of my favorite makeovers you've ever done!! 🩷🩷🩷
Good idea.
To be fair, _good quality_ keyboards, monitors, and mouses are pretty expensive, especially if you're just changing them out for aesthetics. Though, of course, there are simpler swaps like keycaps available (and I think they make decals/stickers for non-mechanical keyboards,) and desk mats/mousepads are definitely a reasonable idea.
Great redo. Very feminine. It would be nice to see a few more for men. It would be interesting to see what it costs to do a make-over. And, to see an undo of things when a tenant moves out and see exactly how much work is involved. I love your studio makeovers.
Wish you put in the bed with storage she seems like she needs it. And personally I really hate that wall with "tile" wallpaper and swivel but can't say anything against the fact that it's made really well, great work. And as long as she likes it it's all that matters.
I agree.
As a Teal lover I had such hope after those inspo pics but it ended up mustard and pink and I am le confused why you deviated from her inspo colours? Could you explain your colour choice decisions?
Too much pink, the greens in her inspo are so pretty and turquoise. Alexandra is marvelously creative just not my style.
I can’t get over the creativity that goes into every home. You make me feel like I can live in a studio as long as you decorate for me .
Her reaction was so cute and you can tell how happy she was. Your makeovers exude so much joy! It’s beyond just making a pretty space. You and your team improve ppl’s livelihood. Saturday mornings are easily my favorite bc of your videos. Fave DIY/Decor/Designer on RUclips for sure.
Lovely! Only 2 suggestions from my personal wish-list...a more substantial bedside table with some sort of easily accessible bedside light.
And though quirky, eye-catching overhead lighting is a PLUS... the exposed BARE BULB beneath it is NOT.
Graham is a genius...every woman needs a Graham in her life :D
I LOVE WATCHING THE PROCESS. From the beginning where we see the potential and the home owner's/renter's needs and decor sensibility, to the plan and Graham's technical skills as well as Alexandra's design inspiration. For me the most fun is at the end where she pulls all these amazing finishing touches out of a hat. That's when the real transformational magic reveals itself.
it is kind of scary the diference between the inspo and the final. the inspo is much more adult, and realistic/literal with the flowers on the paperwall. dont get me wrong, looks beautiful and fun, i would love this place, but it is sooo far along the inspo, the color palet, the style and all
Totally agree!
When the video started, I thought, “She should get bangs, it would really suit her” (Although in Australia we call it a fringe). Definitely yes! Even with the filter you needed to use, it’s a super cute look for you!
*runs to get bangs*
@@AlexandraGater 😂
I thought that too.
I think the same too.
Another vote for bangs!
Your makeovers are always so HAPPY, pretty, and cohesive-looking. You definitely have a unique style. It has been great watching you evolve into an amazing designer Alexandra. Your channel is fun!
If this was my home, I'd never go out. So cozy, so much of pretty pastel colors. Wow just wow. One of your best works Alexandra. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Do the kitchen next!!! It needs some love to match the other vibe!
Wow, this makeover is stunning. The furniture is perfection, love all the pastel tones!!! 🔥😭 I wish this was my space
It's so funny how much you love white compared to how much I hate it. All of the rentals here just have white walls, so your bright white is my renter's beige. I have been renting since I graduated over a decade ago and finally landed ina rental that the last tenants painted without the landlord's consent and I am so happy! The beige is so much warmer than the white! It just feels so much more like a home! It is not the color the landlord wants it to be, but he's not gonna bother painting it till we move out, I haven't told him my feelings, but obviously I am totally fine with that.
OMG & yippee. 1- another makeover that does not disappoint
2-hearing there's 4 vids coming in November
3-more inspiration & ideas I never saw before nor would have thought of.
4- I love seeing the team work on all aspects
5- honestly. My most anticipated video of every week.
6- I PRAY your second book coming will include lots of befores & afters unless it's a privacy thing
7- God bless you all❤
Even if it's a privacy thing the person in question can authorize its use. I'm guessing some people would because the address is never mentioned.
Love how you completly ignored her super cool blue colour palette and went with your usual pink tones. so original.
The client said her favorite colors were pink purple when asked. Additionally, the hall wall paper is blue striped, the blue is there,, too.
Team AG does pastels in such a stylish adult way! You never disappoint, Alexandra!
This is such a cute makeover. Love the squiggly border on the wall paper!
Guys this is really nice! Very friendly, light and colourful and it fits Melissa personality, well done!
Dang, I wish I had thought of a magnet to cover my electrical panel. So simple!
This is one of my favorite makeovers! I love how bright and airy it is. The team seemed to be having fun. I swear that they are geniuses!!! Their commitment to every detail is wonderful!
You obviously love mustard yellow. Do your clients, who ask for blue, pink, and green, love it? I would cry if you put that wallpaper in my space.
She has a whole consultation with them, of course she asks that kind of stuff
@@amykatherinespencer she asked what colours she liked and when the answer was "I love dark colours like blue and green" her response was "so bright and airy" and gave her pastel pink and mustard yellow...
@@ashasarca umm actually those are the colors she DIDNT like. She said dark blues and greens when alexandra asked her whether there are any colors she didnt like.
You have come a long way. 💜
I love everything but...that bedside shelf. It's way too small. I would have put a bedside table on the other side of the bed. This way, it would be easier to make the bed. Or even a larger shelf that you wouldn't have to reach around the headboard to set something on it.
With all that said, BRAVO on creating a beautiful space.
the inspo photos: full of bright colours
melissa: i LOVE colour on the walls!
alexandra: lets go with white walls and pastel colours again
It’s a great redesign but where is the turquoise the client wanted?
This is one of my favorites. I am always amazed that you do a studio with a few items that just *poof* magic, make it into multiple separate spaces, without walls. I would never have thought that walls could do so many jobs for the studios depending on how you decorate them! Beautiful job!
This might be my fav sofa you’ve ever done. Works for small spaces, looks so comfy and she can add on to it later if she wants it to be bigger. Not a pink person but I also love the color of it!
This makeover was very pastel in color, decor; layout was put together expertly. Really liked this. Also: the ergonomic desk chair in seafoam color. Very nice.
She has a whole consultation with them, of course she asks that kind of stuff
Chair does look nice, but I gotta say, she called it "really, really affordable" and uh... I checked their website and it's $699. Probably just "really affordable" for them with some kind of brand deal.
I love how generous the AG team is with all the final touches and everything. It always blows my mind to see it all come together! So inspiring and one of my fav channels on youtube. We need more videos guys!
The reaction of the resident is everything - this girl loves her space, what a beautiful transformation!👍👏😊
I love your ability to design a space that suits the client. You don't just push your own design preferences but instead listen to what each person wants, gorgeous !
I disagree, her whole aestehic is boho/mid century and it’s lot girly, and it shows in every design. I like the desings, but the “clients” show her different interior style and it always ends with boho elements (even tho little muted). I watched some episode, where the style of client was more minimalist and japandi style and the reno ended muted more white boho, even tho it’s still beautiful I would like to see completely different style
@@barboragimesova4587Yeah, I agree with you. If you look at the inspo, I see very little of it in the end result. Don't get me wrong, I love Alexandra and her style! I just don't think she caters to the preferences of the person she does a makeover for that much. To take this specific one as an example, there's no soft green or eggshell blue millwork. She said she loves walls to have color yet Alexandra chose white, as she often does. The style still suits the person she did it for, but I think that's more because they likely responded to a "who wants a pastel scandi small apartment makeover?". Of course people are happy when they want an AG makeover and they get an AG makeover! And rightfully so!
What a lovely room! I can just imagine how pleasant it will be for Melissa to work at that desk, relax on her gorgeous couch, etc etc. I love how you delineated the zones using the wallpaper and rugs. Brilliant! Also, it’s neat how the entry light, ottoman and planters are so similarly designed. Thank you for sharing your upcoming schedule in this video; I’m one of the few(?) who is not on Instagram. The November series sounds wonderful!
Love seeing the team level up each make over! This was so colorful, fun and stunning! Go Team AG!
I love the overhead lights! The makeover was really pretty.
Overall I love the design but I feel like some of the spaces end up a little cramped. The locker in the entry way is lovely, but seems a bit too deep for the space. Something the same height or a bit taller but a little less deep would have made it fell less cramped. The ottoman is also really cute but there just doesn't seem like there is enough space to walk through that area.
I don't normally comment, but you guys smashed it with this one! I am Danish and your "Scandinavian" decor is getting so much better! 😊
The squiggle moulding looks sooooo good 🔥🧡💛
My goodness, some of these comments are not it! Rest assured Alexandra, your design vision for this space is lovely. As a designer you are hired for how YOU approach the space, how YOUR creativity pairs with a client’s inspiration. Anybody can pick a paint color off Pinterest, but creating a unique and harmonious space is a skill! So keep doing you, girl. You’re amazing. 💗
I love your videos. I have a suggestion. I think Graham's work area could use a make over. (Where he made the squiggles, it is a garage space?) It looks like it could use a clean up, some organization, and maybe a new work table. Would love to see a video of this and maybe learn a little more about Graham and how he started in his line of work.
Your team has so much fun. But I am blown away at how you keep getting more and more creative and clever. Such thoughtful design. Keep it up.
No words can describe how gorgeous this makeover was!
This makeover is amazing I would want to stay in that small space all day long. She is going to enjoy it. Love every piece of furniture you use to create such an awesome space. I love the color of the bed and sofa too.
Wasn’t sure in the beginning but Alexandra you are amazing…. It’s so cozy, pretty and just lovely!!!!!
I love how spacious it looks while meeting all her needs. Beautiful.
This turned out very nice. Good job. Also I like the lengthy camera work at the end for the reveal, it gives us a good chance to appreciate it.
💚💚💚OMG, I just used the same Vincent Van Gogh art print (Riverbank in spring time) from DESENIO in my Powder Room Make Over video! I love it so much!! So fresh and so beautiful. And great job once again!💚💚💚
It’s so playful yet sophisticated and feels like a grown-up’s apartment. Another great makeover!
How beautiful! Love the darker linen curtains,
Loved the inspiration board the client brought -- but was sad to see the gold/brown color of the squiggle (Pinterest design more sophisticated) and the brown check in wallpaper. Why not stick with the pastels she had chosen. I would have suggested a desk with more lower storage and a longer console would again have provided the tiny space with more storage. Layout is very good.
I live in an apartment with old, cheap, plain cabinets. I decorate them with contact paper. (Amazon has several choices in several colors and patterns. There may be other sources too.) I choose pastel floral print contact paper, it transforms by kitchen in bathroom! My bathroom was dark, until I covered the cabinets with floral print contact paper! So, was my kitchen. I also decorated parts of my kitchen appliances with floral print contact paper.
WOW! Pastel Scandi isn’t my style but you absolutely nailed this makeover and it truly looks beautiful!!! You’re so generous with all the finishing touches with the rugs and plants and candles and prints. Well done!
OMG! Your makeovers get better and better. I love how you and your team hit it out of the park every time. What a shame you can’t do make overs in the U.S. Looking forward to the month of NOVEMBER. Can’t wait to see what you and your team create. LOVE, LOVE your channel. You are a very talented lady.
Alexandra- You keep getting better and better. I think you pour a little of your heart into each design. It’s like watching a flower bloom.
I will look forward to November’s episodes. Sounds great.
Keep going!☮️🌹👍👍👍
I would have never thought to use that many colors in one space, but when you walk in and see all the colors, its just uplifting.
The final reveal is always my fave 💜 well done!!!!!
Wow, wow, wow you guys! Another stunning makeover. This was so inspirational it makes wanna jump on The Sims to build a home based entirely on this makeover aesthetic. Congrats AG team! 🥰👍
I read the title as pastel scandal and thought ooh that’s going to be amazing!!! 😂 pastel Scandi is amazing too😃
I am 60 this year and I love your channel. I got my minimalist daughter to watch your channel too. Her and her husband are renovating their newly purchased home.We live in Australia. We think you and your team are just great!
Absolutely beautiful team AG! Looks completely different! 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🤗🤗🤗
Loved the squiggly frame around the wallpaper. Alexandra made the whole space livelier. Such a good feeling. 😊
I was wondering how this would turn out because it's such a tight space. But WOW!!! it turned out gorgeous, great job AG team!!! FYI...not everyone has or wants to subscribe to Instagram.
This is a gorgeous makeover! I noticed that the color and texture of the headboard reads a bit like sofa upholstery, so it’s less like a bed and more like living room decor. You do so much with a small space.
I always watch all my videos on Saturday morning, and guess who I save for last? Yours because it's the best! Love you guys, and you never cease to amaze me with your makeovers. Beautiful?
I could never put all those elements together and make them look so classy. Amazing. And, Alexandra, you made her studio apartment look so spacious! Love this makeover.
Girl ! I love the decor & the way you style everything that I fast forward to the reveal ! The place looks absolutely beautiful ! Loving the colors the place looks so cheerful !
Yes…it’s cheerful!!!
Hi, Thanks Alexandra. With much respect, (1.) I loved the bluish green that Melissa was so focused on, however I see very little of it and will refrain from commenting on the wallpaper. (2.) I feel that the tiny bedside table(s) will be difficult to reach with such a curved headboard. (3.) Yes, LOVED the covering of the electrical panel with the magnet. This was brilliant☺️. (4.) The desk is FABulous. (5.) And the frame🖼️ for the TV is marvy🙂. (6.) And the track lighting covers are an excellent idea. …Oh my. Please skip the bangs, sorry. I feel that they would add too much (and horizontal) to your small frame. Cheers🙂.
i loved that the plant pots all matched the ceiling fixture in the hall. Its like team AG thought about it or something!! lol Even the ottoman matched!!
Maybe the video is deceptive in that it is hard to tell that the pieces Alexandra used to replace Melissa’s previous storage are actually bigger. The pink locker in the entry way is bigger in every dimension than what Melissa had before. You can tell by the pink locker’s reflection in the mirror when Alexandra is making the bed around 22 minutes into the video.
Also the console locker under the tv is about twice as wide as little cabinet Melissa had floating in front of the window. It also looks slightly deeper. Then there’s also the shelves both above the bed and the desk. The ottoman also has storage.
I don’t know if Alexandra increased under the bed storage, but she made it easier to access. And there was still space between the drawers and the headboard wall that could be used for storage.
Maybe the color of the new storage pieces made it hard to tell their actual size? Alexandra actually increased the amount of storage in the studio.
Love it as always. Just beautiful. But the bed table is to small for function. The bed head board curve will block out table while in bed.
Hello team AG, I'm speechless! In my personal opinion, this is the best transformation yet. The symbiosis of colors and textures and the unique style are beautiful. I have been living with a severe depressive phase for about 3 years and I am in a state of change. I'm working less, doing sports again and planning to completely renovate my dreary and messy apartment. The kitchen will be delivered in February and that will be the start of a new phase in my life and creating my “safe space”. Your videos inspire me in ways that are difficult for me to put into words. I find the courage to use color and think outside the box. Thank you and your team for the outpouring of creativity, joy and fun. I'm really looking forward to November. Your Lea ❤️
Team AG you really knocked this one out of the Park!!.
Wow that turned out beautifully. I wasn’t sure about that wallpaper dividing the living room but it turned out really cool. OK all this inspiration , i’m going to finish decorating my 800 square-foot apartment. You’ve given me some great ideas. sometimes I watch these episodes 2 to 3 times, yay!!
Beautiful job as always! I cannot believe more people aren’t subscribed either! You & your team are amazing Alexandra! So glad Graham framed the tv it really added so much!🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
This is probably one of my favorite makeovers 🔥🫶🏽
This truly is a TRANSFORMATION!! I absolutely love it
This is really adorable💖🧡💚-however wasn’t her inspiration pics full of turquoise and pink? 🩵🌸🐬🐽
Yes that might be my only critique. There should be some turquoise in there.
This is stunning, oh my god ! So many patterns and textures but very calming in the same time ! Well done !
And the wall squigel is 👌👌
Once again I am just amazed how you always make these small spaces look bigger. I love the color scheme, and the squiggle panel is to die for.
About a $5,000 - $7,000 upgrade. Wow. Nice work.
I dec'd a new home in 1985 and used all of these colors.
Very nice for her taste, with some colors she likes, like mauve and other shades of purple/pink. I would die in a place like this because of those colors. But I do like the golden yellow of the squiggle molding! I wish, and was hoping, you would have incorporated that gorgeous blue on the door in one of her inspo photos, instead of so much pink, mauve, and shades of purple. But that’s just me. You did a great job for Melissa’s taste.
I just love the variety of different design styles you play with Alexandra! This one is probably the closest to my own style - I just love the bright + cleanness of Scandi style but I always add pops of color to make it feel more happy and less neutral.
I also love getting to sit in on the entire process, from consultation to DIYs to reveal! I feel like I'm always learning something that I could apply to my own space. Keep it up!
Stunning as always but I'd put a smaller bulb in the white ceiling shade. It looks like the shade is having a poop! lol. Beuatiful job, Team AG!
This studio turned out so beautiful! It's looks spacious, sophisticated, yet whimsical. The colors are so pretty! I would never have thought to put so many colors together, like pink, lavender, mustard, and green, but they work!!! I love it!
Love your videos and your endless creativity 🎉🎉
Graham is almost immune to girl chatter 🤣
Completely 😂
For magnetic hanging of art work, you could glue a strip of magnet to the back of a hook, instead of putting the magnet on the art work.
I really like how the floor plan is !!!!! much better use af the space , love the dining chairs, and the office space, also like the rug that is Scandinavian to me-that said Scandinavians would never use so many pastels -as a Dane I would chose wood over painted dresser alternatively white of black -we tend to only use a pop of color so either in paintings, or in the sofa or the rug but not like that- the thing on the wall seems like it belong in a child's room -no Scandinavian would have such a thing --so I would not call it Scandinavian -------when Danes do pastel and they usually don't it would be more like buying a Paul Henningsen lamp in pastel , or a Arne Jacobsen Ant chair in pastel instead of the usual white or black --the more fun kind of people would paint a door pastel green or maybe the bathroom -but most people would just buy some Royal Copenhagen tea mugs and that may be in a mix of colors as they are behind a cabin door and not part of he design until guest comes and then you see the "Danish pastels"
Otro maravilloso departamento..
Felicitaciones a todos gran equipo .❤desde ciudad de México
That’s quite the reach around the headboard to reach that shelf. My only criticism.
I thought the same. I think that pouf seat should have been one with the lid that reverses into a tray table. She could use it as a bedside table when there's little or no company, or as a chairside table for guests, and only need to flip the top to seating when there's many guests. With the four chairs to the dining table, she has plenty of seating ...
Yes, I don't think the shelf works either not with the curved headboard. It's also so small it's useless. Good idea about a seat with a reversible top, a much better solution.
