- 2024 Mustang GT comes with factory active exhaust with different mode selection. We try out the active exhaust on the 2024 Mustang GT and it is loud! Track mode on the active exhaust is what a V8 should sound like. It has a deep rumble with good volume.
2024 S650 Mustang GT active exhaust sounds louder than the S550 Mustang GT based on my initial impression as my 2019 Mustang GT comes with the active exhaust as well and I do not recall it being that loud in track mode.

Nice video bro!! I agree the quad exhaust is boss! This stock exhaust sounds crazy!! When he went around the back in track mode it was totally different you could hear the deep rich tone. I don’t think I’d delete the resonator it would be too loud! I’m totally in love with the updated inside my fav next to the exhaust. Just wish they’d get rid of the Pony in the center of the steering wheel and replace it with a GT or something. I still love the body style of my 2020 s550 though. Great vid🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah like for stock exhaust in track mode this thing was loud! Definitely louder than my s550 with stock active exhaust. He’s looking into resonator delete so it will be even louder. I’ll do an in-depth review of this car to compare to mine. Agreed on the steering wheel. I saw an aftermarket wheel with GT and it looks awesome

Would you trade your s550 for the s650 due to the exhaust and updates? I’m between both of them cuz I like the new look and the exhaust, but is it worth the inside being so much touch screen and haptic buttons instead of analog(the switches and HVAC buttons) but smaller and older infotainment ? I personally like the 401a digital dash on the GT Prem. S550 that’s shaped like the circular speedometer etc. better than just a tablet looking dash. But if you were in my position would you get an s650 for the exhaust and updates even tho the interior center console is almost all touch, or would you just get an equally optioned 2023 s550 premium with the 401A package and do the aftermarket mods on exhaust and etc?
That’s a good question I think it would really depend on what you want and the actual price difference. Me personally I don’t think there’s enough addition to warrant an upgrade. That said if I didn’t have the 2019 and price difference between say 2022 vs 2024 is 8-10k I’d go for s550. If price difference is negligible then go for the new s650. Keep in mind you can’t tune the s650 yet so depending on your build plans S550 may get another point there
Yes. The 24' just feels more refined. The pulls have been legendary so far. But it also depends on how much you owe on your current vehicle, its value, your credit, etc. I got a 3.9% with 730 credit. Not the 0% I got on my Scat in 21', but still pretty good for the current economy.
Can you leave it at track mode all the time or does it go back to quiet mode after engine shut off
It reverts to normal mode when you shut off the car
I recently baught one and i tried looking for the exaust feature but it doesnt show up on my screen as you presented it. Do you maybe know any reason why ive tried searching it up but i found nothing..

Bit confused as to what it actually does? Is it just sound? Or are there some performance differences between the modes?
There are 4 different modes to control the loudness level and you do get 6 HP more compared to regular GT without active exhaust
The 2024 ford mustang gt still seems to have a slight european v8 sound carried over from the gen 3 coyote(2018-2023).. But in the older mustang gt’s(2011-2023) you can hear a more pronounced European sound from the exhaust.
Yeah I agree. I think the s197 5.0 still had slightly deeper sound but s550 ended up sounding European. This one aims to bring back the deep sound to an extent

Don’t get me wrong I like the new mustang but I think that 2018 through 2023 mustang GT‘s look more expensive to me. I think the back of a 2024 mustang GT looks weak to me. It doesn’t have that thickness in the back which makes it look Cheap to me. But that is my opinion
Yeah the plastic in the rear is the new mustangs looks cheap. 2018-2023 are best value for money right as their prices come down a bit. Gen 3 5.0 with 10 speed is game changer
