Quest Kodiak short landing at short runway island

- Isla Contadora is the most frequented island of the Pearl Islands at Panama, there are a pretty short runway about 2300ft length, the Quest Kodiak has the great performance to land and take-off perfectly here.
Love that reverse-thrust sound!

@@maddogtank8425 Actually, the differences are huge. The fact that it carries less weight but has about the same power, means it’s able to get in and out of smaller bush strips all over the world. It has a takeoff distance of around 350ft so it’s ideal for any back country airstrip. Think of it this way, if you want a back country grand caravan, it’s the Kodiak. Also, wing design is completely different to allow for lower stall speeds. The gear is capable of hitting 8” tree stumps without shearing off. It’s a very impressive airplane that doesn’t get the attention usually because every thinks it’s just a shorter GC.
A lot, the Kodiak can get in and out of many more airports around the world the GC cannot. This is due to many reasons but the Kodiak was purpose built to be a back country capable aircraft.
@@jjohnson1667 It's actually a 9" tree stump but thanks for the rest of the information I didn't remember the caravan's landing distance So I didn't hear the comments on that
smaller, Lighter and less roomy the Caravan but as powerful and more STOL capable.

No,es un Kodiak 100 y ese aeropuerto es en Panamá en isla contadora lo puedes ver en el flight radar 24 .
@@jeanoses339 Gracias por la aclaración. Pensé que era ese avión por el compartimiento que me imagino es para equipaje en la parte de atajo. Si yo fuera más observador hubiera visto que en la parte delantera tiene el nombre, pero igual no habría sabido que era el nombre. Es este avion el que aterrizaba en Lukla. Solo pregunto. Yo no soy piloto aviador, ya quisiera. Solo veo videos porque soy aficionado a todo lo que vuela.
2,300 is not all that short... especially with a reversing / beta prop
