Wedding Photographer Won’t Refund Groom After Bride Dies in Car Crash

- Justin Montney and his bride-to-be Alexis were set to get married this month, but in February tragedy struck, and Alexis lost her life in a car crash. Still grieving, Justin informed the wedding vendors and asked for refunds. All but one gave his money back - the wedding videographer. Cooper Stallion Media said that the couple had signed a non-refundable contract, and refused to get on the phone. When Justin spoke out, the videographer launched a callous attack, making a website to mock Justin. #InsideEdition

Photographer was rude- but legally, no refunds means no refunds. And it WAS messed up of the guy to try to put him on “media blast” over a no refunds policy that he knowingly signed
Like the guy defiled his own wife’s memory, by going to the media and making a big stink about it over like 200 bucks. He should have honored the contract he signed, no?
With that said, the tweet that the photographer made was really rude and unprofessional, and should never have happened.
What the photographer should have done is * politely* reiterate the refund policy, and then- if he’s being defamed by the guy, who is failing to tell the media the full story, including the “no refunds” part of the contract- then he should sue the guy for defamation. As a lawyer, I feel you're correct. Frustration of purpose is a defense to breach of contract. The bride passed away, canceling the wedding, and now there is no purpose in fulfilling the contract. If anything, the court would have deducted any necessary restitution (for materials purchased in anticipation, etc) but would have given the groom back the rest of his money. @@lootgoblin8705 : Don't be such a dick.
@@4gma59 "rest in piece" and the girl died in a car accident, is a little bit creepy. They corrected her in nice way too, so YOU stop being a dick.
@@mariaathena7910 Hey, it's not my fault you're stupid. Having died in a car accident is extremely sad, but I'd hardly use the word "creepy." And if she's dead, it's usually almost anyone's wish for her soul to rest in peace. Except for yours, of course. You're just too busy insulting others for making kind comments. You got called out and you deserve the backlash. Deal with it.
4gma59 chill
@@f.b.i.853 : Make me.
he signed the contract and its not refundable i get it but mocking him??? bro thats pure evil
He's a photographer, not an insurance policy, that said, the photographer is horrible!
I'm happy that the company and owner got exposed, now we can be sure they won't really get any customers.
I'm just mad that he mocked the girlfriend but if they signed the contract then I mean it kinda means virtue signalling
He closed it down and started a new one called flash house media:(
@@Ribbonlady Smart move. Respect to the photographer.
@@patrice4194 respect for what? lmfao you have to kidding me
he's been doing this for a while, every time one business gets shut down, he starts a new one
I truly hope this horrible man isn’t in business anymore!
I can confirm his business closed

Horrifying, how heartless this photographer is.. 😡💔
Totally with the family on this one right up to when they said they started a go fund me to have strangers pay for their daughters memorial. Disgusting.
Harvard + MIT + Yale = Wedding Photographer
Yeah, that checks out.
He lying
Im not defending the guy, but Wedding Photographers make good money (more like defending Wedding Photographers)
My friend is an international photographer and he didn't even go to any of those schools
One of those institutions is enough..it would of been believable but all three.. why
Beautifully put 👍👍👍👍👍
This guy went to Yale, Harvard and MIT... and after all that studying he chose to become a photographer.
If anything, all that studying and experience gave him time to think whether he'll be suitable or not on other jobs.
My friends who always top class and got many scholarship mostly choose to never work for others/ becoming employees and I agree with them. I'd rather live frugally and work by myself than have more money but have to deal with all the dramas in the big company. Been there, done that for years. Not for me.
They said he become entrepreneur
Photography is a good mix of Art and Business - don't be a snob
He is definitely NOT a photographer - he claims to be a Videographer but is just a scam artist
There is no record of him being on the registrar for any of these colleges.
I feel we deserve to hear from the photographer. In Justin's own words, he "asked" for a refund multiple times before the photographer flipped out. I'm wondering if Justin wasn't very nice and the photographer went overboard retaliating? We don't know.
Who does that? This photographer is a sociopath.
There is no point oh him studying in Harvard or Yale when he’s going to be cheating people
You know you peaked BADLY in life when you declare yourself to have went to high prestiegous schools and come up with being the owner of a wedding photography group.
Fr, like what was the point of going there
Oscar J. Madrigal / Skewered Glaive is college like a waste of time and money and people should rather go to trade school?
Doubt that he went to these schools to study. 😐😐😐
He didn’t cheat anything. He’s a business man and it was according to the contract. He’s just a morally disgusting human being.
Not giving a refund is understandable because it was in the contract but mocking the guy's loved one is a whole different story
yeah ikr but even so giving a refund would make you be a decent human
Edit: i never said that not giving a refund would make you INDECENT, i'm just saying that if you did then it would be a kind gesture, to the ppl that liked the comment below, earth doesn't need selfish and morally wrong people like you. if you're so concerned about paying the bills that you can't show condolences, and if you HAVE to ruin other people's mental health by making fun of them, then that's just wrong. again, i'm not saying that not refunding makes u an indecent human being and i get that you have "bills to pay," but no need to rub more salt into the wound and at least show some respect (by the looks of this, the dude isn't struggling)
@@2ndGenerationYT being a decent human doesn’t help pay the bills.
@@2ndGenerationYT it has nothing to do with decency, he could've given the refund but he isn't bad for not doing so... He lost that weekend to book another job since it's in the books and she died very close to the wedding (1 month) so blaming the company and saying they aren't decent humans is cowardly. It's like you being blamed for a natural disaster and be forced to pay someone else for their loss even though you did nothing to cause it.
@@rubikksu3913 yeah but the dude should at least feel compassion, and the fact that he rubbed salt onto the wound makes him "indecent"
@@michaelcastro5339 yeah but if that person's spouse that was about to be married used my service, I would at least give them some sort of payment to help them cope with it, if you think its fine to just do nothing and let them suffer, you're the "indecent" one
NO REFUNDS MEANS NO REFUND. Such an entitled brat.
I wouldnt either lol like thats not my problem. I gotta eat too.
