Back in the ‘90’s when RBCD Ammunition was just becoming known, one of their sales people came to gun shops in the Corpus Christi, Texas area, and to one in particular in Portland, Texas to Pop’s Gun Shop to try and get him to buy and push the ammo. I was in that day working on my FN FAL rifle in .308. The salesman gave Pop and me the ammo we would normally shoot which was .45acp and.308. The .45acp had a 60 gr. polymer and one micron metal round, and the.308 was molybdenum coated bullet. He said that it would penetrate a 1” steel plate. Pop and I took the ammo out to the range and setup the plate at 100 feet. We first fired some plain full metal jacketed rounds at the plates, only denting them. We then each shot our plate with the RBCD molybdenum rounds and it looked like it had been drilled with a drill press.
