Will power is so underrated as a personality in this sport. In my eyes, there needs to be an indycar docuseries just like one that just came out about nascar. There are so many brilliant personalities in this sport that deserve a spotlight with the veterans like Power and Dixon not being able to show it.
He brought back the double birds last year. He waved them at Scott Dixon after their practice crash at Road America lol Something rarely brought up is Will Power was somewhat of Mark Webber's protégé. Power doesnt come from money and had basically nothing in Europe. He was using alot of hand me downs from Webber. Webber wrote in Power's book that had he had some sort of financial backing he would have been an F1 star. Power's brother Damien is a pretty well known comedian in Australia and somewhat in the US. He has a really funny bit about his brother. Usually if you look up Damien Power on RUclips its the first thing that shows up
I came into Indycar too late for Will to be my favourite driver, but man is he an iconic figure. This sport needs more big personalities like Power. Always rooting for him so long as Pato doesn't stand a chance to beat him.
I was at the practice and qualifying sessions for that 2011 225, seeing those cars going around Loudon was something else, even knowing what nascars looked like going around there. There's still that mark on the turn 2 wall to this day, and I watched that impact.
I remember even he won the Indy 500. I wasn't a fan of Indycar back then but I remember thinking that was the coolest name I've heard in any sport and he now has an Indy 500 win. Absolute legend!
One of my earliest memories of will power is also one of my earliest Indycar memories. I remember him waving to the crowd on his victory lap at Barber in the verizon car.
Over a decade ago before I ever even knew what INDYCAR was, I was gifted a Will Power gear from his car by a friend. Ever since then, I've been a big fan of his!
Gotta admit, during Will's dark years where he continued to bottle it on the ovals & couldn't secure the championship there was 'You can't be the Indycar Champ if you can't win on ovals" But we knew how fast this guy was, he must have had some sort of head game going on. Driving ovals is a different skill, but this guy's too good a driver to continue to fail. He finally got rid of his case of the Yips and is one of the best all around drivers in the sport
I LOVE that someone is putting out IndyCar content. I watch every time I get the chance. Thank you so much for making these videos, as IndyCar data is hard to find, but getting better.
When his engine has a problem you never sail to see people say "Will has no Power". Honestly drivers like him are what make series and it's frankly disappointing we don't see more in series like F1 and NASCAR these days given how even just in the 00s they seemed to be everywhere.
@@DylanJamesGP He does have a good sense of humor too. This past August at Indianapolis for the double header with nascar the drivers did a walk from the drivers meeting to driver intros. He randomly shows up after the rest of the drivers already had been through and looks at the aisle way made for the drivers and wonders if he should’ve been in that. So he takes his Segway hopes over the rope then rides it to driver intros acting like the whole thing didn’t happen.

Doesn’t this exist already? 100 days to indy? There was an ep about will power
Hey man, you mind shooting me a message on either twitter or Instagram, reply here when you've done it!
A who's who of IndyCar series is a really cool idea, and not just for newer fans
That's what I've been working on! There will be more 100%!
Will Power is one of the best current IndyCar drivers. I love his cool (and sometimes heated) personality
He's a legend!
You’ve chosen some iconic Will Power moments here! 😉

That's fair enough, I totally get that! It's hard to hate the guy!
Great story on Will Power. One thing to note. F1 had a Las Vegas Grand Prix back in the early 1980’s.

Your new logo looks super professional. I really like the vibe of the purple, and hope it does well for you
Thank you appreciate that!
I would do anything for that 1:18 power car or hat

Been watching the channel for awhile now one of my top indycar creators glad you’re back! Would love the will power diecast car!

He's phenomenal! So glad we have him in the series!
Will has always been a great driver have always loved seeing him at the speedway such a charcter.
Love him!
Probably my favorite indycar driver ever, now sharing the place with Pato. Hope he wins another 500 or championship.
nice to finally get some context to the name. heard his name mentioned a lot, but never quite knew what he did over the years
Happy to help!
Love Power, an incredible driver

New channel banner looks so sick.
Haha thanks man!
Shame I can't post a pic...but the Iconic Double Bird served as the inspiration for my Chemo beanies.
Ah shoot me a photo over on Instagram!
@@DylanJamesGP thanks, I think I may be the only person in the world that doesn't have insta, lol.
@@avantigpracingdevelopmet6467 oh damn, anything else you can send it on?

Your channel is amazing. So happy I found it.
Thanks man!!
He scored more points than any other driver in a given season.
the power diecast or something Juncos related
Power is an amazing driver. I’ve met him twice now. He’s still kinda shy.
That is so damn sweet haha

First time I’ve ever heard a Brit pronounce an Australian word/name correctly, thanks for that lmao
That's all good, I'm here to educate!.
THE GOAT! MY GOAT!
He's such a legend!
Class vid keep it up :)
Thanks man!
I would like any of the gifts in the giveaway, but the hat would be particularly cool.
Would be cool to have a personality like power in F1…need to show FOM the double bird for rejecting Andretti
Exactly!!
Waiting for that motogp content
Becoming an Indycar champion takes a lot of Will Power.
😳
Sting Ray slander will not be tolerated. All hail the Ray!
cool
I can't if his anger is because he's angry or its him being Australian🇦🇺
Hot take I liked the old pfp better cus it had more personality
I’d like power die cast
Can I have seven cents please
