I want to make a puppet from a rubber mask. Obviously I'll need to stuff it with foam but I need to make room for the mouth plates

Where would you reccomend I purchase the rubber that you use for the upper finger grips?

Why do you all prefer to use foam over felt or velvet or wooden mouth plates on the top and bottom?
We usually use ultrasuede in our puppet mouths. This specific puppet was unusual because we wanted the mouth to be very flexible that’s why we opted for dyed foam.
