Your enthusiasm is contagious. You're not just a great artist, you're also a great teacher. Thank you for sharing your experience and work with us.
Thank you! Happy to help!
ive actually seen some comments on his older videos of people saying "you used to be my art teacher!" so i think he may have been a teacher before?
Totally agree :)
@@DrFeelGooodim pretty sure he taught in my old school but i never went to art
When I was a TV and film puppeteer, I was one of only a handful of British puppeteers that used straightscan monitors. The vast majority preferred reverse scan (which was always a PITA especially if one of the reverse scan performers somehow found themselves using my straight scan mid scene, throwing them off). It’s been 20 years since I shifted over to CG animation and VFX but weirdly now finding myself missing the performance aspect of puppeteering. A lot.
Omg he did it! He did it!!!!!!!the final piece to my puzzle!!! You’re the greatest!!
I really appreciate all your videos on construction of puppets and how to film them Adam, thank you so much for all you share!!!

Thank you for your advise i will for sure make one and let you know.
Woot woot!!
I use an old TV that I used to use as my computer monitor. It works great and it's 27 inches so it's plenty big to see across the room. My big issue is lighting my green screen.
Thank you so much. I'm going to show this video to my daughter. She's been trying to do this on her cellphone
You can do it on your phone too. Try this. ruclips.net/video/-g4lk6JEu8U/видео.html
I'm almost 50 and enjoy your Arlo and the song. You do extrondary work.
Thanks so much!
Than you Adam. I binge watched your videos (in the wrong order mostly🤯) until my brain did that👈. I am a vanlife/adrenaline junky travelling the country with my "Narwhal" recording podcasts. I have a 1983 Toyota Dolphin and completely remodeled for an interview area. My hope is to set up where my Narwhal road mate shows up to interrupt the process of the interviews. You got me thinking about hardwiring cables to certain parts of the vehicle to connect monitors, power, etc. I'll share more when I have more to share 🤞 Thank you for sharing your craft, Cap'n Mac of the LS Narwhal 🦄🚙🐬
Happy to help!
Great Video
Thanks!!
My favorite part about the tutorial you worked on is the animated “fridge magnets” credit sequences.
Cool
Lol hi thx alot this video help alot
Great video. Newbie puppeteer here. The monitor is a brilliant idea to really focus on the camera. It will be about 2 months before I get the rest of the stage lights but this really helped out a lot. Saw another of your videos on making the eyes move. Decided to subscribe so you might be able to give me more insight on the puppet show. I'm actually making a music video with the puppets. Lots of factors with a lead singer and 2 backup singers/horn players. I should be great fun. Thanks for the tips...
Happy to help! Feel free to reach out any time. Instagram DM is the best war.

Great video as always Adam. I hope you can do a video on script ideas in the near future. :)
So again another thanks. Well there will be a list for the small clamp monitor, the next gen battery. A brand of tools to invest in and why. Awesome reason. Great stuff. I'm a single shooter. On the fly.
Happy to help!!
Thank you.

Hi random person scrolling down the comments i Hope you have a Wonder full Day and know you are amazing just the way you are
And i know it dosent mattet but 6th
Thanks
thanks i highly appreciate that. :)
Loving the love!
Thank you so much
Well thank you so much random RUclips commenter. You are quite awesome yourself.
Having my puppet not looking on the camera has been a bit of an issue. Thank you for showing it with a older camera, I was getting a bit discouraged.
do you have a recommendations for lighting? I'm having trouble keeping the background lit without weird shadows??? and keeping my puppet lit.
I was wondering how you hook everything up to the monitor to the video recorder I have a professional video recorder different from yours and I can't seem to figure out how to hook the monitor up is there a way to do this or do you have a video on all the wiring of stuff ?
I'm a little late to the field of puppetry, but i have found myself in a position of teaching Drama to 5th graders in China. Your channel has opened up a new avenue of content to be taught to my students. Every year we do an "English Day" at the school and I would love some advice on doing a show based on the "Yip Yip characters from Sesame Street. It may not necessarily be a live show, but it would be great if you could do a tutorial on how to make the characters and a demonstration on how a small group go 6th graders could perform a simple sketch. I have some ideas brewing, but have never once in my life made a puppet. I plan on spend all of my summer holiday figuring out and tinkering with it. Any help would be appreciated. Also, I wish you the best moving forward!
Thx so much i been trying to figure this out to make a puppet show on my channel
Happy to help!
Adam Kreutinger omg i didnt expect you to respond thank you!
What do you suggest for lighting or what do you use now?
Hey there, Mr. Krutinger! I’m gonna try and do my own puppet videos and this is really helpful!
My one question is I hoped you could show how to key out the puppet rods, like how The Muppet movies do. Can you show how to do that?
It would be the same as keying out anything else. Make them green or blue or whatever color you want to key out.
Would that be possible with a plush like without a hand hole just holding the back would it work?
Do you have a video about direction? I'm finding that my jump cuts are terrible/jarring, but I'm not sure how to transition better.
Adam I’ve only see a few of your vids but wow, am I impressed. Great teaching, great techniques, great communication. 💥 I’ve recorded 30+ shows now and we created a community, write books as well as created products. The next step is to find partnerships. Any suggestions or tips for that?
Adam this was a great how-to video - really appreciate the detail you put into this! 👍🏻
wow, this is very good information, finally I can make puppet videos, thanks :3
now the hard part...
i need a puppet ._.
I have a question.
How exactly did you hook up the camera to a tv monitor? Because my dad has a canon EOS Rebel T7i camera and I wasn’t too sure how I can hook it up to a tv monitor or a pc monitor of any kind really.
do you have any tips/plans to make a video on what to make puppet videos ABOUT? this probably sounds lame but that’s the part i get stuck on; i love building and playing with puppets but i have trouble thinking up anything substantial to make videos on
Can you do this with zoom if you don't have access to a monitor setup ? or just your phone ?
I also use a Cannon Camera. What are the best lenses for puppet work?
I have links in the description of the lenses I use.
Isn't there software... or camera settings, or whatever that you could set to mirror what the camera sees?
Also, what about VR headsets? Could those be an alternative to a monitor?
WOW Great advice on on using a cheap TV. Thanks
Its Good to see Arlo is on his way!
