    I have my ender3 in my study with Creality 1.1.4 board, I personally do not find the amount of noise it generates loud, in fact I like the sound of mechanical parts moving, maybe I am a bit weird or something. As for vibrations my printer is on a solid oak wood table so I dont feel much vibrations, yet I still put those solid feet that fits under the rail to raise it in order to make access to tighten the nuts below.
    I really love your channel and videos, your calm voice explaining things is a joy to listen to.

    100% agree with you. Personally, my Ender 3 Pro has all but the dampener feet and I can recommend them all.

    Great video. Damper feets can add ghosting, watch CNC Kitchen paver and frequency videos. Even these were for the Prusa mk2 but that may apply to others.

    • @BV3D
      @BV3D  5 лет назад +1

      I did not know that. I kind of figured they would be beneficial. I guess everything is a trade-off... It's quieter, and more ghostly. Actually that kind of sounds spooky! 😱 But thanks for letting me know. I'll go check out CNCKitchen's video! 👍

    You should upgrade to an all-metal extruder. I can see a groove cut into your lever by your filament.

    • @BV3D
      @BV3D  5 лет назад

      Hi, thanks for the suggestion! That bothered me about the stock extruder lever for a long time. Gearbest sent me an all metal extruder about a month ago, which has been working really well! (I made a video: ruclips.net/video/zJRxRVN3p3Y/видео.html )

    NICE VIDEO BRYAN. IF ONE HAD AN ACCELEROMETER ONE COULD EXPERIMENT WITH PLACING SOME WEIGHT ON THE PRINTER TO CHANGE THE SPRING RATE OF THE DAMPENER FEET AND PERHAPS TUNE OUT ANY BAD VIBES. A LITTLE HIGH TECH BUT IT IS JUST A THOUGHT.

    • @BV3D
      @BV3D  5 лет назад

      Hi Jimmy! Thanks! That may be more effort than I'm willing to put in right now. But that's a really interesting idea. Mount an accelerometer and take measurements while "printing dry" -- just letting the motion system do its thing. Then try different dampening methods and see which one yields the best result.
      Although I did have a note from 3D Gussner pointing me to a CNC Kitchen video about dampening feet. I need to check that one out.

    You can also print cable ties to go with those brackets!

    • @BV3D
      @BV3D  5 лет назад +1

      Most zip ties are nylon, aren't they? I bet I could print some with a stiff TPU though! 😃

      @@AndrewAHayes Those are a great idea, using TPU for the "tie" part of the zip tie. I liked the rubber band toggles, too. Thanks for sharing!

    You totally skipped my favorite one.. Vslot insert for the left side.. Fills in the slot. Keeps the crud out!

    • @BV3D
      @BV3D  5 лет назад

      I've seen those, but I didn't know how useful they really were. Although I guess if you wait long enough, the slot gets filled anyway. 😂

  • @OldCurmudgeon3DP

    I did the knob, ribbon clips (different design), damper feet (w/o the snap), and board cover (also diff design). I disabled the beeper in firmware😉.

    • @BV3D
      @BV3D  4 года назад

      I still have the knob and clips on the printer; I designed and printed some feet in TPU that seem to do a decent job of absorbing some of the vibration. 😃

    • @BV3D
      @BV3D  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Ron. Sorry about that, and thanks for the feedback. Audio is definitely one of my weaker points, and when shooting video using my phone, I can't adjust the gain on the mic. And the mic is cheap, so it doesn't have a gain adjustment of its own. I end up having to crank up the levels in my editing software and that's where the additional hiss comes from. 😧
