Driving Chevy Bus part 2

Driving a 1990 Thomas Chevy bus thats been converted into an Activity bus for Stokes county.

This bus brings back some good memories!! In Wake County they ran real good until their retirement in 2004.

I love this Allison transmission in this bus. I love that high pitch noise it makes when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear.

Nice Ride & Sounds 🤗 I miss my old 1990 Bluebird GMC 72.pass..As yours is a Thomas The Safe view the drivers have from the drivers seat 💺 The newer buses have Blindspots side windshield posts Bigger mirror houseings .The drivers has to play peek-a-Boo around this..I had People & Cars crossing near the the Front of my bus Hidden by Windshield post/Mirror 😮 Thankyou again for safe fun ride. 🇨🇦

Sounds heavenly! Like when I was in grade school ...I loved the puff of black smoke when they’d take off after dropping me off!

Those Chevy's aren't that bad. A chevy is our regular bus in NC.

Really most are gone or have been converted into activity buses, what county still uses a chevy bus as a regular bus ?

Oh wow I work for Davidson county and we got rid of all of our chevys about 4 or 5 years ago

I believe a Ford b800 numbered 184. They gave us this one after our 1998 Freightliner died.
