One of the rare times that both Mark O'Connor and Tony Rice performed with David Grisman together on one of his most famous "Dawg" tunes - E.M.D.
The Frets Magazine Awards show on TNN - Ralph Emery show "Nashville Now" (early 1980s). Fiddler Mark O'Connor won for best overall musician 5 times in a row and was retired from the award in his mid-20s. David Grisman won for mandolin, Tony Rice won for flatpick guitar and Rob Wasserman for bass.

It hurts my heart to think of the great Tony Rice unable play or sing now...he kills it every note in this vid.
Lot of Talent on that stage. RIP TOny.
Thanks Mark for posting these performance treasures.

I always loved this tune. Even more so now.
Just unbelievable. It makes me happy to know that music like this exists.
What a priceless gem. Thanks, Mark. Rest in peace, Rob. We miss you.
