i’m so glad that the show still let them have this argument because catra changing automatically would’ve made no sense. she did what she did due to her traumatic upbringing and i wanted to see how she gradually unlearns her toxic traits to better herself and how she treats others. it’s crazy how unlovable she thinks she is when there’s always been at least one character who cared about her (plus majority of the viewers were always obsessed with her lol). i think it is absolutely hilarious how this new she-ra design literally made your brain go brrrrrrrrrr. and let me tell you, we ALL felt the same
I loved how at the end of the original She-Ra transformation, the light would shine down upon her from above. But at the end of the new transformation, the light literally explodes out of her from within
17:35 😂😂🤣 🤣 🤣 I understand Mosco. Trust me we all do. As for She-Ra's outfit now. It takes parts from each of her friends. Glimmer's Boots, Bow Heart Piece & Catra's crown. A visual representation of her love for her friends.
I've already watched this over on the patreon, but popping in here to recommend Five by Fives Takes "Why Catra Matters" and "Why Adora Matters" (edit: once you've finished the show). They're both brilliant pieces of analysis, and if you felt like reacting to them, even better!
Oddly heartwarming moment in this episode. Glimmer mentioned that her mother taught her to make those steamed buns. Odds are, Micah was the one who first taught Angella the recipe. I'm imagining a moment where Angella was making steamed buns to relive that memory of her husband only for little babby Glimmer to toddle into the kitchen and ask what her mother was doing. Angella taught Glimmer the recipe so that she could share something of Micah with their child.

she-ra’s new design is so fitting, it just screams "adora" (especially with the design elements of her friends), you can tell that she’s finally made her peace with being she-ra, her OWN version of her
Glimmer: This is Catra we're talking about. Did you think she was just going to INSTANTLY become a totally different person overnight? Mosco: YES. Me: But didn't you say in one of your Infinity Train reactions that people do change, but usually not that quick?😏
You gotta give my girl catra some time Moscow 😭🤣 she’s trying she just needs done time, Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is her redemption, she’s gotta work through some ugly stuff she really doesn’t want to face. People who feel vulnerable or weak can come across as overly aggressive as a coping mechanism, she’ll earn your love I swear!
You weren't alone in gushing over She-Ra, Mosco. Catra was right there with you 😏. Edit: And no, that's not where the heart comes from. The new pieces that are shown display elements from her best friends. Her winged boots come from Glimmer, the heart motif comes from Bow, and her headgear comes from Catra.
To offer some insight, Gray skull is more of reference to He-Man, the sister series of She-Ra. In He-Man, Gray Skull is a castle/fortress on the planet that the series takes place on. He-Man says “by the power of Gray Skull” to activate his powers. So when Adora says “for the honor of Gray Skull” it is referring that She-Ra was appointed as one of the defenders of Gray Skull. He-Man is fighting for Gray Skull by using its name and She-Ra is defending the names honor. In short, It’s basically a battle cry that triggers their powers. And as Madam Raz and Entrapta pointed out, the sword was never a part of She-Ra, but a conduit/seal used to control the power. She actually doesn’t need the sword to bring the power out, but has been trained to use the sword to do so, which is why the new sword showed up.
Plus, in the original lore (and kind of lampshaded in this reboot, too), Adora/She-Ra is the canonical kid sister of Adam/He-Man, who was kidnapped from Eternia as an infant by a portal-hopping Hordak.
@@TherealRNOwwfpooh I did grow up with both series and the crossover movie, so I am also aware of that, but didn’t say it just in case she decided to watch He-Man or at least the reboot of He-Man because it also implies in the reboot that his sword is a conduit/vessel to control his power as well. And the fact that the word Eternia is a password for most of the First Ones tech is also a big implication about Etheria’s ties to the First Ones, indicating that their base Planet is Eternia and whatnot😄😄
@@russuclan3206 Well, to be fair, in the original lore, both swords (Adam's Sword of Power & Adora's Sword of Protection) were basically what King Grayskull (the original ruler of Eternia who was killed by King Hiss, the original leader of the Snake Men, and sent to Eternia's heaven, Preternia, which could be accessed through portals as well) infused his powers into upon his death. The "fabulous, secret powers" apparently skipped King Randor's generation (much to the chagrin of Uncle Kaldor aka Skeletor) & were instead passed onto King Randor & Queen Marlena's twin children, Adam (He-Man) & Adora (She-Ra). The reason the Eternians haven't been looking for their missing princess is because, in the original lore, The Sorceress (Teela's mother [who replaced the dying, original Sorceress who existed before her] & keeper of the secrets within Castle Grayskull) put a spell of forgetfulness over the kingdom until the missing princess could be reunited with her sword & turned to the side of the heroes as She-Ra.
@@russuclan3206 The original fusion of the two swords of Grayskull would be similar to the Soul Edge sword from the Soul Edge/Soul Caliber games, in that respect.
There's actually some subtle work in the newer She-Ra design that represents her growth and self-discovery. You noticed the heart design, that is reminiscent of Bow, but also her pants are now full length and have gold wings representing Glimmer, and her tiara/faceplate is very reminiscent of Catra's. As you mentioned, she also looks a bit more like her regular self, specifically if you look at her hair, she keeps the poofy thing at the top in this form now. Also it's been fun watching Mosco shift. 2 episodes ago Mosco: *crying and full of irratation and despair.* This episode Mosco: "Mommy? Sorry. Mommy? Sorry. Mommy? Sorry."
Something to note on the new outfit highlighted by the transformation: The wings on her boots are the same as Glimmer's The heart on her chest clearly represents Bow And the mask briefly show the shape of Catra's mask It is the combination of the people she loves most
The things about Catra's redemption arc that I like; first they have her get more and more drastic until she reaches too far with her actions, pushing her past that moral event horizon by trying to destroy the universe, a thing most of us agree is the biggest Catra NO moment. But then they really put her through it with Horde Prime, her attempted sacrifice, and then the mind control. And then, the most important part, after she gets rescued they show her making an active attempt to change her ways, even though it's clearly still hard for her to say 'sorry'. She can't undo the past, but she can still learn and change in the now and future, and I think that's what redemption is really about, striving to be better
Fun detail in the transformation sequence. Each of her friends get a tiny nod in there. Hearts (Bow) and wings (Glimmer has tiny wings on her back) and Catra's headguard thingy from earlier and such.
Both Catradora (Catra X Adora) and Jule Thief (Carmen Sandiego X Julia "Jules" Argent) are many fans' OTPs for their respective Netflix reboots (of _She-Ra_ & _Carmen Sandiego_ of course). Unless, you were referring to Elijah simping over Luz's mom Camilla Noceda from _TOH_ even though it has been a minute (a good while) since both the lesbian girlfriend video reactors (Elijah aka Not-So-Average-Fangirl & Mosco aka Wee Lass Reacts) had actually finished reacting to _TOH_ as a series (with Lumity proving to be an arguably better LGBTQ+ relationship than those what had come before, including KorraSami from _Legend of Korra_ , the gems of _Steven Universe_ , Bubbleline from _Adventure Time_ , Catradora from 2018's _She-Ra_ & Jule Thief from the rebooted _Carmen Sandiego_ I.P. & that's saying something considering Lumity was the headline ship of a Disney Channel series [This is particularly true, given the well-known political BS that saw Disney corporate suits stupidly support the "Don't Say Gay" bill & sadly shortchange _TOH_ once Bill Chapek briefly took over from Bob Iger as CEO until his dismissal via a shitstorm of fan backlash]).
Of all the ways I could've expected Mosco to react to Catra's redemption arc, embarking on an introspective personal journey of self-acceptance was not on my list, but I'm not complaining!
I felt what you said at the start soo much I've had quite a few characters that I just despise and I slowly realize it's because I see the worst parts of myself in them 😭 learning to forgive those characters has actually been very healing! But that totally makes sense and it can take a while
It's cool and this was confirmed by the shows creator that the Wings represent Glimmer because of her tiny wings. The heart represents Bow and the crown is made from Catra's crown thing. All the important people in Adora's life that give her strength.
20:22 Can we all just acknowledge the fact that Adora/She-Ra straight up went full Captain marvel in this moment? ruclips.net/video/ATxnB3hdh5A/видео.htmlsi=uJay7GQGY1StbYRi
Is no one is going to comment on the 'oh, I'm drooling' moment at about 18:11 I've been really enjoying Misco's She-ra reaction videos. Was waiting for the last one and this. This one has been the best so far!
I love how the transformation specifically shouts out the Best Friend Squad (+Catra): the sword is Adora, the winged boots are Glimmer (if you remember, she has tiny wings on her back), the heart is Bow, and the crown is Catra.
In the transformation sequence it's Glimmer's boots, Bow's heart, and Catra's crown. Adora fights to protect the people she loves and they are all represented in her armor.
Each part of She-Ra’s new outfit relates to her friends (the ones she loves): feather boots from Glimmer, Heart from Bo’s Heart, bracers because they were hers (herself), and Catra’s mask-thing.
21:13 I like how she's *ALMOST* but not quite flying through space here. We're gonna get a little mini-arc on that in the next episode or two, so watch for that.
ND Stevenson posted a story called "Don't Go" to AO3, under the pseudonym "Annacharlier," which takes place in the in-between time between episodes 5, 6, and 7, and details Catra slowly starting to trust Adora and open up to her. I highly recommend reading it.
Gonna edit this with my reaction to Mosco’s gay panic cause she told me in my comment on the last video to get ready for this reaction 😂❤ 17:30 OMG U WERENT WRONG MOSCO THE GAY PANIC IS INSANE HERE
13:22 I’m gonna leave this here and be gone but IM SO HAPPY THAT CATRA IS FINALLY VULNERABLE TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE!! Ik she’d had her vulnerability with Scorpia a few times but it she was always opening up to the people who literally couldn’t care if she died in the next hour (which Shadow Weaver, Double Trouble, and Hordak(?) literally didn’t) which caused her to do a flip with trusting people who don’t give a fuck and distrusting people who actually care and then view EVERYONE as a threat/enemy. So FINALLY seeing Catra testing the waters with the right people and having positive results vs the constant negative consequences like she quote in S2 “Caring about people is what got me into this mess” makes me emotional asf and happy asf. Catra, yes! 😌✨
I don't know if you know, but there is a fanfic which is situated at the time of this episode. It's called Don't go and it can be found on ao3. I believe ND Stevenson wrote it. I heavily recommend reading it.
Thr most impressive part of Hoard Prime is just how hateable he is. Lots of shows do the whole "oh no, bigger badder villian shows up" and a lot of them can even feel like a real threat, but very few of them feel personal enough to really make them seem like anything but a scary obstacle to overcome. Prime shows up and in the very first episode he's so twisted that people are immediately cheering for the old villians, not just because they're on our side suddenly, because they're not, but just because this guy is sooo terrible that even they don't deserve what he's going to do to them. Even if Catra had still been completely unapologetic, you might still hate her and you wouldn't feel sorry for her, but you still wouldn't want her to be under Prime's control. It's good writing to make it so easy to hate Prime.
Yet, even HE isn't homophobic towards the Catradora ship: "YOUR Adora only causes you pain & misery. Would you like to be free of it?" "YOUR Catra thought you would come for her. Poor thing." "You wouldn't risk the safety of YOUR Catra." "YOUR Adora will die. So, tell me, Little Sister, was it worth it?"
Glimmer giggling at the sight of Adora/She-Ra letting loose on the Horde. 💜✨ Catra expressing that she wants Adora around for comfort, and then genuinely saying both "thank you" and "I'm sorry" to Entrapta? Huge steps for that little shit. 😻 I don't know if I'd noticed before and forgot, but it really hit me during the latest rewatch that the scene with Frosta's ice bubble is evocative of zombie fiction. Complete with moaning. I've got no issues with the season 1 (through 4) design, but the contrast between She-Ra, The First Ones Weapon and Adora's True She-Ra is truly magnificent. Plus, the latter is absolutely designed for the sapphics rather than the awful, conservative cishets who complained incessantly back in 2018. 😉
I am very much in your corner when it comes to holding Catra accountable for being well evil but next episode she does something that pretty much melts my heart. You will know it when you see it. It is beyond adorable. Also one of my favorite ships starts in that episode.
More great episodes, loved this reaction. In addition to She-ra's new form being inspired by her friends, it is also as you say a form that belongs to Adora, not one that is forced onto her. Again, the sword isn't She-Ra, Adora is She-Ra. Another fun bit is how Mica has been treating Frosta, as a kid, which Frosta has not been taking well. When he stops her at 14:05, at first it seems like he's again treating her like a kid and that she shouldn't fight, but then he shares his worries with him and tells her that she's really strong, which I think is exactly the kind of validation Frosta needed.
My favorite exchange from this episode “I know you all hate me!” “I never hated you!” These two have been fighting for THREE YEARS at this point, and the only time we’ve seen Adora openly angry at Catra was surfing and after the portal…same goes for one of the few times Catra is scared of She-ra Aaand she screamed over it…of course (joke)
Mosco went from "NO, CATRA. STOP" to "Aww, she's shaking :(" and I love it 🤣

it’s crazy how unlovable she thinks she is when there’s always been at least one character who cared about her (plus majority of the viewers were always obsessed with her lol).
i think it is absolutely hilarious how this new she-ra design literally made your brain go brrrrrrrrrr. and let me tell you, we ALL felt the same
I loved how at the end of the original She-Ra transformation, the light would shine down upon her from above.
And Mara ... don't ever forget Mara! (the legs...)
I've already watched this over on the patreon, but popping in here to recommend Five by Fives Takes "Why Catra Matters" and "Why Adora Matters" (edit: once you've finished the show). They're both brilliant pieces of analysis, and if you felt like reacting to them, even better!
…after watching the whole show, as 5x5 includes spoilers.
Mosco: "I feel a little sorry for her...a little."
Emperor Palpatine: "Good good...let it flow through youuu..."
Angella taught Glimmer the recipe so that she could share something of Micah with their child.
omg thats adorable, new headcannon!
I said I wasn't going to cry today! YOU MONSTERRRR!!!😰😥😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Hey everyone! Remember to keep the comments free of any spoilers of future episodes for Mosco. Have fun & be creative with fake spoilers! Also, make sure we’re keeping the comments cool & comfortable for everyone here. Enjoy the reaction y’all!!!

@@ArcaJ shhhh🤫🤫
@@ArcaJ It certainly isn't between Entrapta & her surrogate son Wrong Hordak (Kadroh or Dumpling, depending on the name fans wish to give him). XD
she-ra’s new design is so fitting, it just screams "adora" (especially with the design elements of her friends), you can tell that she’s finally made her peace with being she-ra, her OWN version of her
Glimmer: This is Catra we're talking about. Did you think she was just going to INSTANTLY become a totally different person overnight? Mosco: YES. Me: But didn't you say in one of your Infinity Train reactions that people do change, but usually not that quick?😏
loved the almost instinctual 'muscle mommy' comment-
Wait until the horde becomes a delivery service.
Glory to amazon prime
You gotta give my girl catra some time Moscow 😭🤣 she’s trying she just needs done time, Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is her redemption, she’s gotta work through some ugly stuff she really doesn’t want to face. People who feel vulnerable or weak can come across as overly aggressive as a coping mechanism, she’ll earn your love I swear!
That reaction to the new She-Ra transformation is everything I'd hoped for and more!
@@TherealRNOwwfpooh true true 😊😊
2 episodes ago Mosco: *crying and full of irratation and despair.*
This episode Mosco: "Mommy? Sorry. Mommy? Sorry. Mommy? Sorry."
I love watching Mosco struggling to express her feelings about Catra
"Fifteen percent... maybe twenty percent..."
Something to note on the new outfit highlighted by the transformation:
The wings on her boots are the same as Glimmer's
The heart on her chest clearly represents Bow
And the mask briefly show the shape of Catra's mask
It is the combination of the people she loves most
It’s homages to the people she cares about, Glimmers boots, Bows heart, and Catras crown
Is the 40 minuite version 20 minuites of recap and an extra 20 minuites of Mosco rewatching the close up of She-ra's muscles non-stop?

the updated transition sequence is literally so beautiful, the animators really popped off with this one
20:02 Oh, yes. The *representation.* Can't forget about that, can we. 😆
representation is very important
@@gabsrants And muscle. And tall. And muscle. But also representation.
Did we mention the muscle? 😆
I felt VERY represented. 😘
I love how half your reaction was basically incoherent simping/babbling for She-Ra.
Relatable, frankly.
Fun detail in the transformation sequence. Each of her friends get a tiny nod in there. Hearts (Bow) and wings (Glimmer has tiny wings on her back) and Catra's headguard thingy from earlier and such.
17:27 Me when the show aired : "Hi, it's me, I love women too, can't deny it any longer. That's my story."
Elijah Was just simping for Carmilla
Now we got Mosco Simping for She-Ra 2.0
Yeah, they’re made for each other
Both Catradora (Catra X Adora) and Jule Thief (Carmen Sandiego X Julia "Jules" Argent) are many fans' OTPs for their respective Netflix reboots (of _She-Ra_ & _Carmen Sandiego_ of course).
@@TherealRNOwwfpooh I was talking about the chick from Hazbin Hotel
@@TherealRNOwwfpoohI think RCUdeogu was referring to Carmilla Carmine from Hazbin Hotel
@@RCUdeogu Oh. Them too.
It is very important that we get proper muscles. Very important
*SAME CATRA, SAME!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
20:22 Can we all just acknowledge the fact that Adora/She-Ra straight up went full Captain marvel in this moment?

Mosco: I think somebody's a bit obsessed!
Me: You mean like how YOU are for Elijah ;)
Is no one is going to comment on the 'oh, I'm drooling' moment at about 18:11
I've been really enjoying Misco's She-ra reaction videos. Was waiting for the last one and this. This one has been the best so far!
the "PRIME ACCESS" joke and forced laughter after had me crying i cant remember when was the last time i laughed out loud from the yt video XDD
Catra does that fehfehfeh hissy spitting that young feral kittens do xD
I love how the transformation specifically shouts out the Best Friend Squad (+Catra): the sword is Adora, the winged boots are Glimmer (if you remember, she has tiny wings on her back), the heart is Bow, and the crown is Catra.
And the leggings belong to Mara, the preceding She-Ra.
CATRA and Mosco both incoherent and losing their minds over muscle mommy SHE-RA. love it
It's been a long time since I've seen a brain short-circuit xDDD
18:58 The Wing Boots Represents Glimmer, The Heart Piece Represents Bow And The Head Piece Represents Catra.
In the transformation sequence it's Glimmer's boots, Bow's heart, and Catra's crown. Adora fights to protect the people she loves and they are all represented in her armor.
It would have been so easy to have Catra sit by Adora at the end so I really liked that Bow and Glimmer were the ones that made room for her
17:22 the head part is for catra. before horde prime.
Also it's worth noting that intros this season are unique to each episode ;)
Each part of She-Ra’s new outfit relates to her friends (the ones she loves): feather boots from Glimmer, Heart from Bo’s Heart, bracers because they were hers (herself), and Catra’s mask-thing.
And leggings from Mara.
23:31 Ah. Right. *Riding* She-Ra. Got it. 🤣
There's a great couple of animatics called "Don't go." if you wanna take a look.
21:13 I like how she's *ALMOST* but not quite flying through space here. We're gonna get a little mini-arc on that in the next episode or two, so watch for that.

20% hmm let's see how this progresses
ND Stevenson posted a story called "Don't Go" to AO3, under the pseudonym "Annacharlier," which takes place in the in-between time between episodes 5, 6, and 7, and details Catra slowly starting to trust Adora and open up to her. I highly recommend reading it.
Gonna edit this with my reaction to Mosco’s gay panic cause she told me in my comment on the last video to get ready for this reaction 😂❤
17:30 OMG U WERENT WRONG MOSCO THE GAY PANIC IS INSANE HERE
This episode would have been really awkward if it transpired that She-Ra couldn't breath in space
"Tell Ha...Horde Pr...Pr...ahhhh..."

Catra, yes! 😌✨
ive also noticed that when adora transforms into she ra in this episode, her headpiece appears and the outline of catra's appears overtop of it :)
Glad to see you also appreciate the beauty of a muscular woman!
19:35 same, girl. same.
I don't know if you know, but there is a fanfic which is situated at the time of this episode. It's called Don't go and it can be found on ao3. I believe ND Stevenson wrote it. I heavily recommend reading it.
Love the Freckle, Mordecai and King plushies in the background, btw. I just noticed those.
@17:50 gay brain being rightfully gay
Glimmer giggling at the sight of Adora/She-Ra letting loose on the Horde. 💜✨
Catra expressing that she wants Adora around for comfort, and then genuinely saying both "thank you" and "I'm sorry" to Entrapta? Huge steps for that little shit. 😻
I don't know if I'd noticed before and forgot, but it really hit me during the latest rewatch that the scene with Frosta's ice bubble is evocative of zombie fiction.
I don’t care who you are, when that transformation sequence happened we ALL felt what Catra was feeling.
Take notes elijah. Hit the gym and watch mosco gay panic over you!
I am very much in your corner when it comes to holding Catra accountable for being well evil but next episode she does something that pretty much melts my heart. You will know it when you see it. It is beyond adorable. Also one of my favorite ships starts in that episode.
Oh, how I waited for this one - you certainly didn't disappoint. 10/10 new She-Ra transformation reveal reaction.
Don’t tell Elijah, but I think Mosco has a crush on big mommy She Ra 😂
Now that I'm done with this video I'm off to advance my relationship with my own sapphic "Muscle Mommy", Karlach.
My favorite exchange from this episode
“I know you all hate me!”
“I never hated you!”
These two have been fighting for THREE YEARS at this point, and the only time we’ve seen Adora openly angry at Catra was surfing and after the portal…same goes for one of the few times Catra is scared of She-ra
Aaand she screamed over it…of course (joke)
