Yes! My dog took out my trashcan and I rebuilt it as a toothpick. I wanted a tinyhawk but didn't want to deal with 1s batteries I was almost going to buy another trashcan. Perfect timing!
A short time ago I bought a TInyHawk-S as I am new to quads and wanted to start small with something that was robust and could take a few crashes and not be damaged. I saw the TinyHawk-S reviewed by many with great praise, now I regret buying anything from them. I received my TInyHawk-S, with a defective ESC as far as I can tell, upon powering it up, I began to set up the VTX, you plug in the battery and hold in the VTX button and start counting flashed to figure out what channel you want to be on, well about 5-10 min into setup, I see white smoke coming from the board. I quickly unplugged it and waited plugged it back in, and it seemed ok. I continued the setup, and test flew it, and it seemed fine. I flew it a total of 4 times successfully, doing basic hovering and doing small circle circuits. I put it away after 4 flights, next day went to do more flights, plugged in a new battery, white smoke again appeared and this time the quad was dead, now it still powers up in betaflight and you can read the FC and stuff but it will not fly, or power-up under battery. I can only figure the one ESC is dead where the smoke appeared new the one motor plug. I did not want to try and get warranty, it was a 50 dollar board and I know small company’s would more than likely blame me for it all, so to avoid the hassle I just bit the bullet and ordered a new FC at my expense. The new board arrived, it arrived with the FC not properly flashed, it would not go into DFU mode, all motors turned same direction and I was stumped. I stumbled upon a EMAX channel where they gave instruction on flashing a TinyHawk-S, in fact I thought it strange the title was binding the TinyHawk-S, and it started out flashing a new quad out of the box and flashing a new HEX and CLI?????? it also gave a piece of software to fix the FC should it not want to enter into DFU mode. Hmmmmm sounds like my issue exactly, why would the produce such a video if this were not an issue. Well I followed the video in the video description it gave the links to download the FC fix software to enter DFU mode, it gave the betaflight software, and it gave the HEX and CLI software. Now the real crap starts, the description link takes you to the newest version of Betaflight, the one they use was 10.5, the description takes you to 10.6, in the video the use the betaflight target as MATEKF411RX, in 10.5 this is ok, in 10.6 you have to pick from 2, MATEKF411RX(Legacy) or MATEKF411RX(MTKS) well this was something the video did not cover, I was stuck having to test both and try and figure out what target may work, till this day I still do not know, I was told by some forums to pick the MTKS version, this is not working so well. Anyway, I left comments on that channel as to why they would not update the video with proper flashing tutorial, they told me that they did not recommend flashing at all, even though the video the first thing they did before even binding was flash the FC with new HEX and CLI, I also explained that the board would not even enter DFU mode and all motors spun in same direction, they then recommended I submit a ticket as I think they realized they gave me info that was not within the proper methods. I submitted a ticket and got abused by the same guy that was running that channel stating I did not need to flash the board even though it was not properly flashed in the first place, and he gave me new info to us BLheli to switch 2 of the motors spinning in wrong direction. Ok fine I went along with that next but simply asked to get correct HEX and CLI and target info to straighten out the mess I already got into, then they started on trying to get the board back and trying to warranty the FC, at my expense of course, I did not want this I only wanted to get the info to fix the issue they basically caused. This turned out to be a disaster I got accused of being confrontational and combative as I was not obeying his orders, his words not mine, and that if I do not follow the orders my ticket would be closed. I replied I only want info to fix the issues caused by the video and to correct the motors spin. Well Ticket closed. I open a new ticket, this time got same guy, same really rude attitude as I think should his misgiving be discovered he may be in hot water. Well we again went down the path he would not support anything but me sending in the FC for warranty. I did not think it needed warranty just to be properly setup and configured, and I asked for that info and for him to stop being so rude and help me, well Ticket Closed Again!!!!!!! I urge anyone reading this do not by from EMAX, after reviewing a great deal of forums I found may in the same exact boat as me with FC issues, boards with motors coming spinning all same direction, now this may be easy for you experienced guys, but I am very very new and got directions that got me in hot water from EMAX itself. I have contacted the Office of Corporate and Consumer Affairs, I have a standing complaint in with the Attorney Generals Office, and the BBB. They are not having any great luck either, but a back conduct is going to be set against EMAX should they fail to comply and I am putting out this post to many channels involving Emax and TinyHawk. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats to the winner. Very cool. Liking the 2S Tinyhawk for sure. Love the double profile set up from the factory. Emax keeps on plugging. Thanks Justin, nice job. Jeff
I love my tinyhawk and fly it everyday. Nothing like being able to fly under the kids while they are swinging on the swings. Can’t wait to get ahold of the new version.
I just bought my first Emax Tinyhawk s and I love it. It’s a lot of fun. Actually more fun then any of my bigger drones it’s just so much quicker or snappier.
Justin..Your vids are what got me started in FPV, Im currently flying a RTF tinyhawk kit, with Sky 02x in the mail. next up is a trans. and a new quad. Cant wait for 2s....✌
I took your advice and grabbed the Tinyhawk and love it. Then moved onto the Babyhawk r 3 inch but have to say my new Diatone Gtm3 trumps the Babyhawk r. Been tempted to get a 249hd rabbit but only just heard of the 269 rabbit pushing 6s. Might hang off for that release. Anyways, enough rambling. Keep up these top notch reviews dude.
Love the Emax line of products. Fantastic review! Tinyhawk's are great quads. The Tinyhawk 1 kit is excellent for those just starting off. Thank you for all you do.
that tinyhawk is amazing. Beautiful and well engineered design, great power. and great for beginners. this will definitely be my next whoop!! the diatone 249hd is great drone for average/pro pilots. it is easy to control and have a good punch!
Another great review! Thank you for touching on the ethics of flying around people in your flight demo. It is always a good idea to learn to fly away from people at first, and to communicate with people that may be in your area of flight. I can't wait to upgrade to this tinyhawk! I always bring a tiny hawk to every spot I fly, even when I am ultimately going to be flying something else! (makes a good warm up, and a scout!)
Any man love the work that you do I've been watching you for a few days now just found you and I've been wanting to get into fpv I've got two drones but have been unsuccessful on
As always, a well done, honest review. Thank you Justin, for all that you do for us noobs/less talented pilots as well as the rest of you awesome pilots. Your patience and passion for the hobby never fails to inspire. You have info for everyone’s level. I’ve only just now gotten my first 1s tiny hawk rocking. But, I did mod it with a black frame and green turtle props first thing. Also Converted my Modula 7 to a “Gnarlyfpv” toothpick(nods to kabob) frame and I’m still amazed with the performance outdoors. Of course, I could always go for more POWER on my tinyhawk. If I somehow win, I promise to pass my new 1s tinyhawk to by bud that’s really interested in the hobby but has no gear. I’ve yet to get to fly a Diatone as of yet. Thanks Justin!
The 2s version came at the perfect time. Not sure if I'm going to get one since most of my buddies graduated from their 1s Tinyhawks, but there's a good chance the added power might be enough for us to buy this guy. Me likes the color too.
Wow this is awsom news...i have my 1st emax in the post atm,has just landed in my country (tracking) and i find out there a emax two out..am saving my pennies already as im soooo looking forward to the 1st one atm...am a low income worker so it takes me a while to save up for my drones ive brought so far. Yet another rocking video from you once again

Awesome, love the 2s possibility and that it comes with 4 bladed props out the box, might just have to get myself the new tinyhawk S! big fan of their stuff, the original tinyhawk has been awesome to learn to fly my first proper brushless quad!

I use to drive a lot of rc cars and learned driving nose towards me. Flying a quad just brought back muscle memory.
The OG Tinyhawk is probably one of the best performing brush less whoops out of the box. The 2s variant looks amazing.
I love my tinyhawk and fly it everyday. Nothing like being able to fly under the kids while they are swinging on the swings. Can’t wait to get ahold of the new version.
This is like the stuffed crust of the tinyhawk! Sure regular crust is fine, but when you try it, its a whole new game!
I've had My tiny hawk s for a year now and I finally got it to work!!! thanks To You, So Thank you For making This video it Really Me Me A lot 👍😃

Great video Justin, what a nice quad the TinyHawk 2S is. Of course you made look easy.
1s rips with Project Mockingbird but 2s sounds cool.
I definitely like the black look of the tinyhawk better. Great job with the videos

Wow need to get me a tiny hawk S now looks so much more fun then the 1s version... thx mate
So no upgrades on the vtx from the gen1? Wow thought that would of been priority no1 to rectify.
The Tinyhawk S looks like a nice flier. I have the original Baby Hawk which still fly on occasion.
I was considering the original Tinyhawk but the 2S is the way to go. Nice detailed review. Thanks
I love this little bugga! Lots of fun!
Love my Tink Hawk S.
Pro's:
-Great power to weight ratio
-Good Tune, well, better then the original had (Note the three different rates programed into it. Rate) 3 is good for more advanced/pintchers)
-Good price
-Easy to Bind and Fly (did't even need hook it up to betaflight to get it flying)
Con's:
-Not a good VTX amd Camera (good for the price but i put a TBS Pro32 and RC Nano in mine and the range is great)
- Can't get any extra 2s batteries right now (I'm using the TBS 300mha 2s batteries with the connectors changed)

Not taking 2s was probably the biggest downside of the original Tinyhawk, this seems like a great upgrade.
Just ordered a sailfly X to learn FPV outdoors. The Tiny Hawk S might have to be my new FPV indoor quad !!!
I've never flown acro and don't own one than has acro but definitely will one day, this does look nice and smooth I like it.
