Pretty sure I saw his TikToks. He's been living his best life during this cruise. Chatting up the young single 20-somethings and partying hard, staying until last call at the on board night club every night ending in "-y". Absolute madman!
...On second thought, maybe that wasn't him.

After a recent 12 day Caribbean cruise with a drinks package, all I can say is after 7 days, all I wanted was a PBJ sandwich, a walk in the woods, and to play with my cats. I can’t imagine 9 months at sea with a bunch of bloggers. Geez.

I agree. Cabin fever will set in big time after 4-6 wks if not sooner. Anyone not 100% committed to this experience will feel trapped and will want off sooner or later. Especially during those long stretches between port days. I'm not too familiar with this particular cruise's itinerary but when I used to work for Princess Cruises, their world cruise had a stretch of about 13 days at sea at one point while crossing the Pacific. That sounds like borderline torture.

I would disagree, Unless you have pets of course. But for the most part I would disagree, seeing that most people during the pandemic and after the pandemic have been using VR to pass the time sometimes all day long and these VR Apps give you social environments as many as you can think of to hang out in, play games, or use as a way to escape your current reality and it's still only the beginning and growing rapidly.
This is also most likely one of the hidden reasons apple finally decided to join the race as well as samsung planning to re-enter with new devices coming soon, and also while manufacturers like AMD and NVIDIA are hard at work creating AI, compact CPU and GPU solutions and cloud services for devices such as these. This is already changing the way we live and will continue to change it as time goes by and tech advances.
What I would be worried about is how this could potentially be an environmental problem for water, air, maybe even an agricultural problem for food.

    • @misterfunnybones

Look at the itinerary: you're visiting multiple destinations throughout the world, and in any of those coastal towns or villages there are plenty of opportunities to do as much or as little as you choose. You probably hit 3-4 ports on your 7 day & they were probably all similar cookie cutter ports. Itinerary is everything if you want to explore, just like any form of travel, but they also cater to big ship cruisers who really enjoy staying on board to play in the pool, climbing wall, & skating rink, etc. The whole thing is an environment nightmare.

If there's a bunch of influencers or people posting videos, they're making money from the views. If you were a work from home person to begin with (as mentioned in this video, some are), you set up your computer and have your work time each day on the ship. Either use the ship's wifi or bring your own starlink antenna, if it's allowed. Many others are probably wealthy retirees. I imagine very few are people with "normal" jobs where they can't be away from for that long. As for the weight gain, just bring along your Ozempic pens to combat the constant desire to eat!😂

People judge world cruisers, while forgetting that before airplanes, it might take months to go from London to India or London to Australia, and they had to travel in ships without stabilizers, with very few amenities. Nowadays, even the poorest cruiser has more luxuries available than First Class passengers on the Titanic.

9 months of buffets might do interesting things to people. I wonder if they are bringing a more comprehensive medical team and facility as they could run into things on a continual 9 months that people would have deferred for a week or two otherwise. Also, how many people who board might be pregnant and not even know it yet? A baby born on the cruise and/or prenatal care could get complex, but a real PR opportunity

I’m not surprised there’s no drama. Drama on reality shows is typically manufactured. Hope there’s no criminals on board though.

Anything can happen tho. I don’t buy the whole non drama because some of these are of social media display and no one would knows for sure what’s happening behind the scene. You’re on the boat for 9 months with the same people and likely some of these people you wouldn’t get along with either

Give them more time. Drunk people hook up and then the fun will begin. Hope there are plenty of cameras onboard.

A no job. Obviously these people either:
      -have savings
-own property that they’re renting out
      -born into money
I don’t think these are average middle-class working folks.

Working online probably isn’t easy either, considering they are at sea where wifi is probably going to be slow and hundreds of passengers using it at the same time.

These must be some healthy people. Who can go without medications for the other 6 months if they can get a 3 month supply to begin with....lol. Wish I could afford to go on a 9 month cruise but it would be the death of me cause I have high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes and couldn't go 6 months without medicine. I know they have medical on cruise but they don't have that much medicine.
