If I wanted to be on a ship with the same people for 3 years I’d have joined the Navy.
Probably have alot better sex too.
right, because our Navy sailors aren't actually doing work.

Something like this wouldn’t be marketed towards you. If you were never informed, the world doesn’t revolve you and your preferences.
*singing* IN THE NAAAAAVY
After three years on a ship with the same people I think people would be jumping overboard
Okkkkk
Fr, I was literally questioning what the human race had come to when I read the title
Right…I clicked on this video based on the caption because I knew somebody would say what I immediately thought. Three years!? *Sheesh* 😂 thanks for the laugh
Imagine being on a submarine in the U.S. Navy .
Facts!!!😂
a 3 year cruise doesn't sound like a dream but a nightmare
It’s a mental brain draining as well …
IKR?? Why can't these people just stay home and pay taxes?!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Its a dream for old people.
It does sound horrible.
To the lady who sold her house and all of her belongings in anticipation of living the rest of your life on the high seas... you do realize its a 3 year trip, right? So... unless you have some terminal disease that will claim your life in the next three years, you might have jumped the gun on selling everything...
It’s 3 years. Most leases are a year. It’s insane to expect her to have her living situation planned out longer than that if she wanted to sell her house.
she was just going to go on the next cruise!
@@MM-24😂😂
She’s the definition of stupid
She was going to "empty nest" and sell down anyway -- so she will do something different instead of a cruise.
I can’t believe they went so far as to take people’s money without even having a ship! How can they possibly plan this and charge people for it if they don’t even know for certain what ship they’ll be doing this with, what the capacity will be, what the accommodations will be like, what kind of staff it can fit, or even if the ship is safe… I mean, the actual ship is kind of an enormous part of this. THE MOST important part. How can they make any kind of promises to anyone without the ship in hand?
Investors have to do what makes sense for them.
Sounds like a Ponzi scheme where they needed seed money from the passengers to buy the ship. Lol. But seriously though, this is whack.
Be careful of your money, especially when you get old.
Bigger question : Who in their right mind would fork over that kind of money without SEEING said ship. 🤔.
@@justmee9441Snap! You’d have to be just the teeniest bit bonkers. One woman sold her house. Come on!
2 weeks is the maximum I can tolerate on a cruise ship before I start going crazy. I can’t fathom how some can spend 2 months on a ship let alone 3 years.

I know.... when I heard that i was like what da fuq? what was the plan after 3 years??
The home was sold at a profit and she will continue earning income the 3 years when she is on the cruise. Find a new place to live while traveling the world on the cruise.
They are spending 11K a year for living costs and everything else which is pretty cheap tbh. I wouldn’t do it since I need to be able to move around freely but it’s cheaper than a retirement home!
That doesn't even make sense to me
Selling tickets on a boat they dont even own, hilarious.
Where did they get their MBAs, I'm sure it was in the USA.
@@williamrudolph3481 Wow, great joke. Where did you go to clown college?
@@williamrudolph3481It’s a Turkish company. So they probably got their MBAs in Turkey.
I have a bridge these folks may interested in...
Its not that crazy - there are tons of cruise ships headed for the scrapyard after the pandemic. I would imagine they had a specific ship on "tender" and it was good enough for them to advertise. From the sound of it they were getting funding through UAE Sovereign Wealth fund or similar and it fell through. (they are a BIG lender for large projects in the region)
Do a search on "Cruise Ships for Sale" -- there is one that was just refurbished in 2018 for 22M (1000 passenger) Another newer 2400 passenger vessel for 125M. And these are the publicly listed ones...
It's like being in a mall you can't leave.
The love boat soon will be making another run, the love boat promises something for everyone!

I mean I'm sure the cruise probably had plans to dock at many different locations but, I still get your point. 3 years is absolutely ridiculous.
@@happyvocal No. I have traveled by air for 4 weeks all at once. It doesn’t feel like vacation at all
Former expat here. Travel insurance is typically for temporary travel, not for a three year period. What you would need to do is sign up for regular international health insurance that will cover you globally. As long as your policy *excludes* the United States, it should be reasonably priced.
Any recommendations for a company?
Look into Globality.
But trip insurance would also cover your stuff, and also cancelled arrangements...way more than health insurance
You'd almost need renters insurance
Former expat here ☝️🤓
In fact, avoid the USA altogether...
The tour sounds incredible…but when you consider the types of people who would be up for this sort of thing living around you for three years it could get unbearable very fast.
The tour doesn't sound that incredible since there isn't even a ship that will take them. Actually that is pretty incredible.
Why? Rich people surrounded by other rich people.
@@maskedmarvelone lady sold her possessions to go. Doesn't sound rich to me idk
3 years .....nobody could convince me I wasn't kidnapped if I was on that cruise 😭
It’s obviously not marketed to people like you.
So people bought tickets for a cruise when there wasn't even a ship owned / purchased by the cruise company? What could possibly go wrong?
There was an article/story about the old couple who spent 500 days on a cruise (so far, as of the article) bc it's cheaper than assisted living.
When they said $30k/yr for this 1, it reminded me bc that's a lot cheaper than all these A.L., nursing homes etc
If you need assisted living, you should not be in a cruise ship, which is essentially a hotel. There are services associated with nursing care that are beyond the scope of hospitality workers.
@@alisonfraser8231 It's an appealing idea though. Like Frodo and Bilbo and the elves all sailing off to the undying lands... Maybe they could cater to nursing services more.
@@alisonfraser8231 it would be cheaper than just general living though wouldn't it (i don't know what the US cost of living is) - rent, food, electricity, cleaning, laundry, entertainment, gym, travel to many different countries. I mean it's my idea of hell, especially in those tiny rooms, but I could see the appeal for some.
Travel insurance nightmare as mentioned.
It’s cheaper then living in a retirement community
As a navy veteran, I can tell you that being on the open sea gets pretty boring.
Ikr. I've been on 3 cruises and after 7 days I was more than ready to be back home. I guess they were supposed to visit many countries so I guess that would help take the edge off.
With any cruises especially one like this, I just view the ship as primarily just being my transportation to go to all of these locations as opposed to spending thousands to tens of thousands on airline tickets.
My husband was in Navy for 6 years and he hated it!! I couldn’t imagine actually pay be stuck on water for 3 years with same price.
You're acting like they didn't have more than 100 scheduled stops. Also it's a cruise ship built for leisure not a battleship built for war. Safe to say they would have a lot more fun things to do than a Navy sailor.
When I was inquiring about working on a Disney Cruise, I was told it'll be working for 6 months and off one month. That might be my kind of cruise 😅
Absolutely an investment scam. No surprise it was cancelled 🤣.
“We reached out, and have yet to hear back”. That’s also not surprising either.
Unable to purchase a ship?!!
But selling tickets?!
Why would anyone sign up for this?
It’s insane to fork over that kind of money, for a cruise of that untested magnitude, and to a company that’s so new in the business. Even the established cruise companies have their shortcomings, but at least you have a higher assurance of getting a refund because they’re more likely to stay in business.
OMG never! I could not even imagine being on a ship for a week. I bet the court case will be ugly.
Try getting blood out of a turnip.
you CAN get blood out of a turnip/stone...you just need to squeeze hard enough...@@williamrudolph3481
I’ve been on 5 cruises before. One of them was an 8 day cruise which I had no problem with.
@@Graphics_Card Glad you enjoyed yourself. For me I wouldn't find any interest in it. Also being stuck on a vessel with that many people is an invitation to viruses etc which doesn't make me comfy. The cruise to Alaska is one some of my friends raved about😊
@@plicketyplunk about the viruses, there are literally janitors everywhere that sanitize around the cruise ship 24/7 to prevent these. The only thing that adds fuel to the fire is the crowds which I always avoid so I have no problem dealing with walking around the ships.
When I saw the title I thought, “A 3 year long cruise? Impossible. They must be trying to say the passengers have been waiting 3 years for this cruise due to the Pandemic.” Unfortunately, I was wrong 🙃
What's so unfortunate about a 3 year cruise?
A lot of people like traveling and traveling by sea is more cost effective. Air travel and then room & board to these 382 port destination on the 7 continents would cost a lot more. Stuck on a ship for 3 years sounds like a nightmare
Just sit right back and you will hear a tale.
To even plan to carry out this 3 year voyager, you have to have a ship for the very start so potential cruisers could see where they would be living and what they would be getting for their money!
Not having a ship to begin with with suggests this was a scam from the very start!
I doubt if the "passengers" will ever get their money back!

I remember being on a cruise back in 2019 for a week. I was only on there for 7 days and towards the end of the cruise, I got really sick from the food. I honestly think it had something to do with the food being much fresher at the beginning of the cruise. I really think the food started to go bad within the last few days of the cruise so I can't imagine what it would be like being on a cruise for 3 years straight with the food and the storage and how much they have to replenish, restock, etc. How are they going to keep it all fresh constantly without people getting sick?
What cruise ship did you go on? This is a health and safety issue, and usually not notorious on cruise ships. I’ve been on 5 and had no problem

Not a single person mentioned how this trip would be literally impossible.
It would be a logistical nightmare having every major dock in the world being able to accommodate a cruise ship docking on any notice and meeting its demands whether it be maintenance, resupply for guests, emergency, docking etc. This is all considering the port will clear them to dock for multiple days and weeks with conflict or scheduling problems. Not only that they are subject to border patrol, customs, politics that will further derail plans. Weather, medical, detours, and lengthy ship repair would seriously hamper any plans. Imagine a normal major or minor repair, it may require weeks or months and the unloading of passengers throughout the year for a ship on extreme high volume duty... Just millions of reasons why it's literally impossible. The don't have a boat being one of them!
Exactly what I was thinking! The logistics of it, I can't even imagine how they would manage all the contingencies needed to keep this cruise going and not risk breach of contract. An utter nightmare! Whoever bought into this pipe dream must be two sandwiches shy of a picnic...
And selling your house and all your belongings, too!! 🤦♀️
"Ignorance can be corrected, but never stupidity."
How can any organization provide for three years for that many people. And who is it who thought this up.
Wonderful comment.
I mean. Its just a ship lol its not like they are going to space to managing people onboard for 3 years would be easy. BUT this issue would be the legality and insurance which is likely a nightmare.
@@FlightX101 Managing people for 3 yrs would be a big challenge. There's a good chance that many on the trip would be elderly, which right away comes with the possibility of medical problems, illnesses, deaths etc...Did this company have a plan to handle such situations? If they hadn't even acquired a ship yet, I doubt it.
@@TheJanet4321 not really, its still a decent enough idea that a better funded company could do it. The existing cruise lines manage every sailing, someone is ill you just put them ashore and they can rejoin (or not) later.
But the real issue is that this sort of cruise can only be sold to people with strong passports. Because otherwise eventually they are going to have issues with a port of call.
They’d have to constantly dock for fuel and food.
Imagine selling all your possessions for a 3 year trip, then after 2 weeks you just want to go home ... oh wait, you don't have a home, because you SOLD IT 😅
As fun as cruises are, the novelty wares off after about 2 weeks.
How do people book a cruise w/o seeing the ship, especially when it's a world cruise?
THIS SOUNDED LIKE BS FROM THE GET GO! 1 Ship going worldwide for 3 years HELL NO! Who is crazy to think this is a dream?! 😭😂
Only some people would like it, especially if they really do have a passion on traveling the entire world, but for regular vacation that’s just too much
@@coffeelink943As an experienced traveler and I can tell you I would NEVER get on that nightmare
They probably were scamming all along because they didn’t even have a boat to begin with and they kept changing their departure location all the time. Even the length of the trip sounds sketchy as hell too and the folk’s giving these clowns their money hand over fist are equally dumb too.
Even the Minnow could only manage a 3 hour tour

I’d be curious to know if anyone else had EVER been on a 3 year cruise 🚢?? Right??? How many times do people need to hear “if it sounds too good to be true… it’s not”. Let’s try some simple math 🧮. 3 meals a day times 365 days a year times 3 years. That’s 3,285 meals. If you say $10 per meal average, you’re at sea 🌊 right?? That’s $32,850 in food alone.
Most days they are not at sea but in ports of call where people eat out of the ship, and buffet meals cost much less than $10, just look at Vegas.
But it was an obvious scam from the beginning, there was no ship, and it is a Turkish company…
Passengers need to retain attorneys immediately and not give the company any grace or time if they have not issued a prompt and complete refund.
If the company can give a refund. Sounds like they’re sinking like the Titanic. And many of the passengers couldn’t afford lawyers. They’ve already lost thousands on this shipwreck.

The amount of free advertising this cruise got when it was first announced earlier this year, and they couldn’t make it work lol
Older people can go days without talking to anyone. Being on a 3-year cruise is the same as being in nursing home. You meet the same people and do the same thing everyday in a nursing home. This way, they could be in extended adventure and always moving.
3 years is WAY too long 😂 Imagine missing 3 years of the world, spending 3 birthdays, and being with the same group of people for 3 years straight. Not worth it!
Actually those parameters (without the context of a cruise ship) sound like heaven coming to earth.

What makes you think she was rich? Majority of people in video in this video look like that they are in 60s or 70s. They have a pensions and retirement fund and social security. They worked for like 20-50 years

You got to have so much food, the crew, multiple captains, patience ..
They would probably restock food at every destination…
They’re so calm.. I’d be tearing everything up 😂 I want my money back! especially if I sold my house
Does anyone remember that show where Ryan Gosling went to highschool on a cruise ship ? Well these people didnt even have a ship yet ! 🤔
December 1st sailing? Are you kidding? Even if they were to procure a ship by that time, they'd have to repaint the boat, hire and train the crew, get the provisions, etc. That all takes time.
What's crazy is that it doesn't even look like a nice cruise ship, Tiger woods has a bigger yacht than that, it looks tiny and cramped.
He also has the money.
Small ships are boutique. Luxury cruises with absolutely everything included in the price including all alcohol and tips are the pinnacle of the industry. Small ships can literally go almost anywhere unlike giant floating condominiums.
This however is just a scam
Well,we know Tiger NEVER uses the brakes, so he might be good at driving a boat
You say that, and yet I've been on ultra luxury cruises (Crystal and Silverseas), and they were large, it really depends on the destination which determines the size of the ship. This looks like it doesn't even have any amenities, which for THREE YEARS would kinda be the point.
