The funniest thing was one day I went to the dental ward on base and a fellow opened the door for me and a nurse there said that’s something that doesn’t happen much, he’s one of the top brass. So I wander in, say hi to everyone and top brass offers me a coffee. Sure, thanks, I will have one. I was with my father in China touring an air museum. For some unknown reason when you finished the tour they gave you a souvenir Plastic Wings that looked like wings that a military officer would wear. Later that night we got dressed up for a dinner party and my father wore his military outfit. I was NEVER in the military nor have I ever earned any awards of any military nature. I was half drunk along with my father and he suggested that I put the plastic wings on my tuxedo. He joked, “After all you are a graduate of that museum.” So I did it. Months later I forgot that they were on my tuxedo and I was leaving a hotel in Las Vegas. The hotel employee who helped me pack my car kept calling me ‘sir’. I dismissed it only as a guy who just wanted a big tip. Later when I was wearing my tuxedo again at a party some guys again called me ‘sir’ and asked me about my military career. Huh? What? The confusion was quickly cleared up and the guys laughed about it, but still, to this day I cringe at the thought that I came close to unintentionally falling into a trap of being thought of as one of those sleazebags who steal valor.
Poor guy, how is he supposed to verify his past when it's "CLASSIFIED". Maybe someday if congress, the Supreme Court and the president sign off, then maybe we'll all learn the truth.

What I have learned in my 37 years on this planet. This one never fails. You will never know when you meet a navy seal. Even if you know them for years, you may not know. For instance. Now I could be wrong. My grandfather was a “frogged” in the navy in the early 60s. He never once said he was a seal or talked about his service. Not even for five minutes. Not even when some crew mates came to visit. Never talked about a moment of his service. He died in 2019. I found out in 2021 that the first seals were called froggers. Not sure if that is true. But I do know the level of humble that navy seals poccess is next level.
..'.the first seals were called froggers'... I think they may have been called 'frogmen' or 'frogman'. I called a SEAL 'frogman' one time and he didn't work me over or even cut off my air supply.

This still remains one of the best episodes of Phony Navy Seal of the Week. Don is masterful trapping this guy ,and Don and Diane are hilarious.
Yup agreed! This is one of my favorites as well, he broke him down so fast he was cornered and couldn't talk his way out of the hole he created for himself. Idiot!

I love seeing Diane in your video’s. She is such a sweetheart, but you can tell she isn’t one to be messed with. Which seems to be your favorite pastime is to mess with Mrs. Shipley. I bet you guys have a blast, I just love watching you two with your banter back an forth. You both seem like awesome people that are in love with each other and life. God Bless you both and keep making video’s exposing these scumbag bastards.
They went from Shipmates to to a loving, inspirational couple and a role model for everyone that is following in his footsteps.
@@banditeastlick2471 I would love to hear their story, they are just really good people that like to have fun with each other. I can tell they are best friends like me and my wife are, that’s very important in a relationship.
I think it ruins the videos but to each their own.
@@The_Brew_Dog let me clarify something real quick. When Don is making his stolen valor, gotcha video’s I don’t much care for the switching back and forth. I like seeing Diane and Don together with their little jabs at each other and like when they were on the boat. That should be it’s own video by itself and many would watch and enjoy those like myself, but they should be separated into two different video’s, unless Diane is a part of the particular video, I have seen her participate in some of those and that is perfectly fine.
She's scarier than him.
He's trained to use restraint.
Paul is going to jail and getting fired. Karma for that clown.
I love this format of something serious and stressful like stolen valor and fraudulent behavior spliced with little snippets of you and your lovely wife. Thank you for what you do Don. You are a good man who has earned a peaceful retirement many times over! yet you tirelessly chase these idiots and expose them for the whole world to see. Great stuff.
As tough as you probably are, your lady doesn't seem one bit intimidated, love it and thanks Don👊
Another one bites the dust! Excellent. Thanks Don.

Thats nuts that hes claiming to be a Vietnam veteran, those guys are getting old and he does NOT look it.
A lot of these gumps try that on thinking no one will notice . Some of them were still playing with train sets at that time.
Good point! I was in the Army 71-74 during Vietnam (did not serve there however). I’m currently 68 years old. This guy looks to be in his 30-40s so no way was he in Nam.
He probably wasn't even born when the war ended whatta a chump.

Thank you for your military service sir🇺🇸 Plus thank you for your ongoing service calling these frauds out!
I was with my father in China touring an air museum.
For some unknown reason when you finished the tour they gave you a souvenir
Plastic Wings that looked like wings that a military officer would wear.
Later that night we got dressed up for a dinner party and my father wore his military outfit.
I was NEVER in the military nor have I ever earned any awards of any military nature.
I was half drunk along with my father and he suggested that I put the plastic wings on my tuxedo.
He joked, “After all you are a graduate of that museum.”
So I did it.
The government stole his identity.
And the walls came crumbling down, years of claiming to be who he's not! Shameful.
1 outta every 8 drunks in a bar was a super secret bad ass before they became broken down alkys
I'm a Yeoman Apprentice, wait no, I'm a Rear Admiral that served in Vietnam in 1975-76. I'm being facetious, of course. YES. I remember having such trouble just doing the PT in Army Basic. 1975 Fort Jackson SC.
I came back home did my 6 years quietly. I had to do a 2 mile Run once after basic. (The summer camp) PT certification was you could basically walk the mile and still pass. One suggestion, for whatever its worth; I was a bit distracted by the cutting between the part on the boat and the part where you're outing the fake officer.
