You should hold a SEAL veteran’s appreciation banquet and only invite the phonies you haven’t exposed yet and film the mass exposing during the “thank you for your service” PowerPoint presentation with all their wives, girlfriends, and friends watching while eating dinner.
It's funny you say that. Do you know how many times I've met a Seal Team 6 members and how many times I've met the guy who shot Bin Laden. I know a guy from High School who went to the 20 yr Reunion and saying he was a "Navy Seal" and he's re-upping for 4 more yrs continue his "Navy Seal Career". Of course he got outted pretty quick. Because he's been working at Tractor Supply in another city and the person who outted him lives in the same city he does.
When I was a kid working at Radio Shack back in the '70s, this guy came up to the counter with a leather vest on and leather hat, all decorated in Vietnam era military patches. I was amazed and asked him about it. He told me about his time there etc. I checked him out and the guy in line behind him was a big guy, dressed normal, acted normal, and said to me. "Young man, that guy was never in Vietnam. I was there and I can tell you that he's lying to you." I learned a valuable lesson that day. The world is full of imposters that will leverage the work, pain, and suffering of others to take advantage of people's sympathy and interest. I never forgot that moment. It was one of absolute clarity.
Absolutely right. I was an infantry platoon leader in peacetime and did nothing special, but spent some time with my platoon at the Korean DMZ. One day, last summer, I was paying for gas and the guy ahead of me had a baseball cap with a Vietnam veteran badge and a 101st Airborne badge. I was briefly in an airborne unit at Ft. Bragg, so I started a conversation with him. He went on for a while and finally, I asked him which brigade of the 101st Airborne he'd been in. He hesitated and said, "The sixth." Well, the 101st didn't have six brigades - only three. I knew right then that he was a fake. I said nothing further and walked back to my car. I gather there are a lot of phony Vietnam veterans wandering around with badges on their hats and stickers on their cars. My older brother, who actually fought there, has no such paraphernalia and doesn't tell people he was there.
@@PennPearson It's a shame really, Isaac. But it was a good lesson for me early. It simply taught me that I needed to vet everyone that I come in contact with. Trust but verify I suppose. My best friend in the world went lifer military, enlisted. He has some real stories to tell, but you'd never know it. It only comes out when I visit, we build a fire out back, and break out a bottle of 12 yr old scotch. But he doesn't even give a s**t about it. He's just happy as a clam to be a normal guy retired. Every time I see anyone over-doing it with the badge, medal, patch, regalia, I am suspicious. When my best friend is the most humble human in the world and I know he's walked the four corners of the Earth in 101, 82nd, worked in CentCom & GCC, my radar is up for phonies. I mean, I'm a nobody in this world, but he thinks he's a nobody too. Anyway, thanks for the comment.
@@barrycrawford7326 I smiled as I read your comment. I think we have similar values, even down to the 12-year old Scotch. (Glenlivet 12 is my favorite). Your friend sounds like a first-class guy, too. Yes, modern America seems to have many more people who misrepresent themselves than a few decades ago. Like you, I've discovered that it's necessary to be skeptical about people. Sadly. It does seem in life that there's an inverse relationship between self-promotion and actual accomplishments. One anecdote before I let you go: While I was a lieutenant in the airborne at Ft. Bragg, I had to go out and make sure that an isolation compound had been properly prepared for a Special Forces team that was getting ready for a mission. Going with me on the Huey was a major whom I'd never met. When we linked up, I saluted him and then, seeing his name tag, I realized that he was a Medal of Honor recipient whom I'd heard about. You may know that in the Army, and particularly in the infantry, MoH recipients are regarded the same way that saints are in the Catholic church. Well, being an overly keen young lieutenant, I expressed awe at meeting him and stupidly asked him what he'd done to get the medal. I'll never forget how impressed I was by his modest answer. He said, "Oh, I was just in the right place at the right time." He wouldn't say anything more about it. He was a pleasant, polite guy with no macho, tough-guy swagger at all, but later, when I read his Medal of Honor citation, I was deeply impressed by the heroism he'd shown. If you're curious, you can find it and an interview with him here on RUclips. His name is Ronald Ray. He's a very fine person - and still alive, I think. Well, I've taken up too much of your time. Take care of yourself and thank you for your polite reply to my reply.
@@PennPearson I just watched Major Ray's medal of Honor interview on RUclips. It brought a tear to my eye. It's really incredible that a regular guy from nowhere can rise to the occasion like that, save his men, and ultimately reconstitute himself as a regular guy when interviewed. It's great that guys like us can align on normality. You have good taste in Scotch. Although I'm a normal Dewers white lable guy, I really like Macallan 17-18 and Glendronach 18; it's just a bit pricey... special occasion kind of thing. Thank you for taking the time, and that was the best anecdotal story I've ever heard. So cool. All my best. Take care my new friend and if you ever want to hang out in Chicago (where I live now) or deep in the hollows in TX where I plan to be, just let me know. We'll build a fire and tell some stories.
@@barrycrawford7326 I'm glad you watched the interview. Your description of him was interesting: "A regular guy from nowhere" who did something extraordinary in a crisis and then went back to being a regular guy. Yes. I do like Glenlivet 12 because of its rich, malty flavor, but it definitely isn't my everyday drink. It's gotten too expensive for that. To someone living in the suburbs of Philadelphia, having some drinks and sharing stories around a fire in the hollows of Texas sounds very appealing. I'll remember our dialogue and if I'm ever out there, I'll contact you through this comment section. Thank you for this exchange of thoughts. Good luck and take care of yourself.
My father served in the Navy at the end of the war in the Pacific. Except for a scrapbook and some souvenirs he brought back from Japan and China you would never know he served. He never mentioned it to anyone except for a story about nearly getting washed overboard in a storm and the time his buddies dragged him into a whorehouse which terrified him. No tee shirts, hats or veteran discounts.
What is 100 percent more sad, is a person claiming to be a follower of Christ who isn’t. Matt. 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 “Many will say to Me on bthat day, ‘Lord, Lord, in Your name did we not prophesy, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many miracles?’ 23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’
Well you need to be mentally ill, to be idiotic enough to believe a god exists with absolutely no evidence, so why wouldn't he be completely delusional !!!
I was a ward of the state after my dad had died and watching these videos of seeing Don with Dianne ❤ makes me wish so badly that I could have had a family like that with the fun jest and home filled with laughter and smiles. Thank you all for your service and may God bless you always ❤
Don, I was food service in the United States Marine Corps. I watch your videos all the time. Great work keeping these people from stealing your valor that you earned. I was nothing special when I served, but I am proud of what I contributed to the corps and country.
MidRats at MCAS El Toro back in 1996 was BOMB. Biggest Omelet I have ever had.. No plate.. It filled the Tray..... But I ran the JP5 Hot Pits VMFAT-101 had Night Ops. What do you know about MidRats?
My grandfather was a cook in the Army Air Corps and then US Air Force and we were and still are proud of him. He was proud to be what he was. Food service is also important. Thank you for your service!!
James Pray tell how you were nothing special. Cooks provide morale, nutrition. Thank you for your service. Respectfully Senior Chief Parachute Rigger. Served with H&HS-10 at MCAS Yuma 76 to 8
A lot of these guys have terrible service records so I guess it goes with the territory, but it really makes me mad when a veteran with a good clean record lies about being a SEAL. Why do they do that? Be proud of your service! You don't have to lie! Shameful.
Amen. I've ran into guys that I served with that are on the internet.Holy shit! A few of them claim some of the most outrageous crap that we did and I have to pinch myself. Did we really do all that and go to all those places? the few that do this shit are exactly like you say.Shitbirds.
It’s because they have self-esteem issues and they want somebody to pay them attention and give them praise. Any idiot can say they joined the military but not many can say they actually accomplish something.
These are sad people who have no self esteem. In a way, it's a compliment that this is the dream they have, of being one of the these serving men. But they don't seem to comprehend what they are doing. How wrong it is... I have to say, my greatest thrill was meeting bomber crew, WW2. They were my rock star/movie star/heroes, all in one. I might have been quietly smiling, but inside I was squeeeeing in excitement. To shake their hand, was almost too exciting to cope with...
Back in the ‘80s I worked in a country town in Australia and there was a bloke there who was a Vietnam veteran and everyone said he was a hero, and when he would get a few beers into him he would start telling you all about being at the Battle of Long Tan and how he was “shooting at all the VC and cutting ‘em down like flies”. It always struck me as odd that he would be so forthcoming with a story that must have been traumatic as Aussie soldiers who were his friends died in that battle. Years later I looked him up at the Australian War Memorial record and the bastard was never in Vietnam when Long Tan happened. He served two years later and was not in any major battle.
Back in the 1980's, Long Tan was probably a lot easier to lie about. It's easily the most controversial and discussed of all the battles Australia was involved with in Vietnam. I've never met any of the men who fought in it, but I've read about 'em and seen a few in docs and investigative reports. Not one of them struck me as having an ounce of bluster or hubris. All recounted the events as extremely difficult.
@@NxDoyle yes that’s right. No internet and there wasn’t a book written about Long Tan until sometime in the 90s. It listed all the men, Australians and Kiwis, who were there and that’s what tipped me off because his name wasn’t there.
I had a second cousin who did the same thing but I finally told his wife after several years look up his service record he was only in Germany. All lies. My husband was their early in the iron triangle with the big red one army he Never talked about it. He was to messed up about it to talk about it. These guys piss me off.
I’ll never understand why people can’t just be proud of doing the job they did when they served. I was Public Health in the Air Force from 2011-2021 and though it wasn’t a glorious job that everyone wants to do I was honored to do it. I got to see, experience, and be apart of a lot of memorable experiences. I’m proud of my accomplishments and what I did. I don’t need to make up a story or develop an entirely fake life and career to impress everyone.
Same here I was an ABHAN firefighter aircraft rescue known as Crash and Salvage. It was not glamorous as the SEALS, but just as important. If not for the pilots, flight deck crew, deck crew, engineering crews, mess deck crews, medical crews, and other naval crews aboard ships. the Seals couldn't get anywhere!
@@paulrupright4694 oh I was stationed at Moody AFB and their are 2 rescue squadrons full of PJ’s and I can’t tell you the amount of times people got caught claiming to be a PJ. Most of them did it to get laid and others did it because they “worked with them so technically they are one.” What those idiots fail to realize is that its a very small group of people and they all pretty much know each other and can sniff out a fake in a second.
Jockos podcast and Shawn Ryan's show would be awesome interviews. DJ Shipley's interview on Shawn Ryan's show was one of the best I've ever seen. Don and Diane raised a warrior.
@@timothyellis596 might be a bit of a shock, but it’s actually possible to do both 🤩 It’s both weak and naive to assume focusing on “minor” issues is ignoring the major ones
Don, my sister was seeing a man named, John Howard. He said, “I was a Navy SEAL in Vietnam.” He had tattoo and everything, but something was wrong about everything he was saying. I took him to NOB Coronado. He said, “I was on PT boats as a SEAL in 1973.” He toured the PT boat, told a sea story about losing a lot of good me. He was good with the water works with an audience. We went to McP’s, and he had never been there. I got his information and looked him up. He spent 2 weeks in Navy boot camp San Diego before he was discharged. He is still telling the story about his time in the Navy in Bullhead Arizona. Keep up the good work Don.
I was confused for a navy seal once. I fell asleep at the beach while wearing my dark blue bathing suit. All of a sudden I awoke to people screaming and shouting as they were pushing and rolling me back into the water fearing that I had beached myself.
I actually served under this guy when I was an Oarsman 1st class on a nuclear submarine. Word has it, his underwater rowing technique is still classified.
My father was awarded a Purple Heart in WWII but never told us. We found it in his jewelry box after he'd passed away. He never spoke of the war, but daddy had nightmares that would wake us up sometimes. My mother would soothe him. I'm always suspicious of people who regale others with heroic war stories. War is hell. It's not fun. They're sociopaths.
My Great Uncle did the same, earned a Bronze Star in Vietnam as a medic and he never told any of us. We found out after he died and my cousins found his citation. We were proud as hell of him when he was alive much less knowing what we know now😢 his citation will stay on my wall until I die
thankyou for his service..... and you are correct, that is the way it is.... My best friend served in vietnam, saw HORRIFIC, action, retired Air force, and it never leaves his lips, anything about it. Not a word. Another dear friend lied his way into WWII at 15, passed away about 5 years ago after a long life. He as well, never spoke of it, but slept in a separate room from his lovely wife because he would wake up with terrors until the day he died. (And didn't go too many places without his gun strapped to his ankle.) I guess it made him feel safe? My son is a Marine. To Hell with all this F...g liars, there is nothing wrong with serving and having "swabbed the deck" my respect for them, is EQUAL, to my Navy Seal friends, Colonel friends, and whether anybody saw action or not has no difference to my level of respect. But a Liar? They need exposed, and beaten both. How disgraceful and disgusting, they claim the glory, while good men suffer every night of their life until they die, and never say a word.
I remember you as I was class 944. You didn’t spell Navy Seele correctly. I served in numerous bars and cat houses in Panama. I helped capture Noriega. He was hiding in a bar I frequented and there he was serving beers. After I captured Noriega, I was qualified to drive the diesel locomotives moving ships through the Panama Canal. Later they trained me as a ship pilot to guide ships through the Canal. I sure had a good time being a Seele. Did you hear the joke about the penguin who had car trouble and stopped at a mechanic’s shop to have his car checked. He told the mechanic he would be next door having ice cream. After awhile the mechanic came in and said to the penguin, “It looks like you’ve blown a seal.” The penguin told the mechanic, “No, it’s ice cream!”😉😉
Lmfao when I was a green beret in the coast guard, I rescued a seal from a shark. Not a navy seal it was the animal seal. I'm proud of that. As a green beret In the coast guard I did alot. 😆
The problem is that these guys have lied for so long that they truly believe their lies at this point. There is an old pirate movie with Kirk Douglas. He had a peg leg and at the end of the movie a kid asked him how he lost it. Kirk said I’ve lied about the story so many times that I honestly forgot how I lost it.
Then there's "I'm Gonna Get Sucker" a classic movie. One of the thugs in the movie wore an eye patch and said he served in Vietnam. He later admitted he was an admin puke and got his eye shot out in a paperclip fight in the office.
Senior Chief Shipley I can’t believe these idiots haven’t given you a bleeding ulcer by now. Your work with outing stolen valor idiots is honorable and very demanding. Thank you!
Don, I appreciate what you’re doing. I’m a US Coast Guard veteran. I was a trained mechanic serving on LORAN station. Plus various stations. I’m glad you’re exposing these phonies.
When I was on the boat I had a friend that was in buds (quit during h week) that said a guy actually arrived at buds with a frogman tattoo. He said the instructors went nuts and vowed to make him quit. He quit. True or not I can’t confirm but in all my years as an ER nurse I can assure you we don’t have an idiot shortage in this country so its very possible
For real. No shortage of morons. I do security and mfs will lie and sneak around and you just want to beat them senseless. I mean lie straight to your face. Maybe it's time for a purge.
To be fair, at least he actually went and tried to get through BUD/s. The tattoo hubris is strong, but, most of these phoneys don't even bother attempting to get through BUD/s, they just claim that they went through.
I love Mr. Don and what he does. I NEVER served in the military, but I am an A & P Mechanic, work as a Civilian for the Dept. Of the Navy on FA-18 Hornets. I have watched the faces of Servicemen/ Servicewomen when anyone tries to pull off fake service and can visibly see the rage and disgusted looks on their face. These people are pathological liars and honestly don't know when to quit.. I can't imagine being so stupid.. Own your life!! If you are/were or are going to be a Fuck up, you won't get far as a fake anything!! Keep up the great work Mr. Shipley..
Just the way the Senior Chief talks at the end. Makes me dream of an old language we spoke once. I haven't ever met anyone from the Army that spoke like that. He's speaking pure Navy. Remember to say Happy Birthday to this guy on October 13!
Don, you brought up something today that actually was the main reason I had found both You and Diane. Having never served, the history and bravery of the men/women who served has been so fulfilling to my spirit.. having said this, the reason I truly hate imposters is self explanatory but I've had a few non-SEAL claims from other military imposters and I was fooled for years. They all sound the same... but thanks for bringing that up. I hope to see other former branch members expose more phonies. 12 minutes in you really nailed this SOB. It's repulsive how they all speak so disrespectful to a Senior Chief with your background.
Sounds like this guy's got CDAS.... And if you're wondering what that means it's chronic diarrhea attack syndrome and he's letting it fly everywhere and hoping everybody will believe it's okay
im a coast guard veteran, not a seal by any stretch but i appreciate your work. i may not be in your "brotherhood" but from one veteran to another, thanks senior
I appreciate YOUR work. We don't usually hear a lot about the Coast Guard. I have a cousin who served 4 years with them and he did a lot of stuff that to me was beyond cool. And the USCG sailors are brave--they routinely go out in seas that nobody else would get near, at least not intentionally, and they save a lot of lives.
Thanks for this, Don. I’ve worked with many of our ANZAC vets over my career having worked at 6 Veteran support hospitals and several Nursing Homes here in Australia. Spent many hours listening to their life stories. My humble opinion is the guys who ‘went there and did that’ generally aren’t bragging about it. It takes a whole lotta trust for them to open up, and generally only when they have a fellow included in the conversation. Both my grandfathers and my nan were in WW2. My mother’s father was a Canuck Chaplain, serving in European theatre from DDay+1 through to Nuremberg Trials, my father’s father was RSM at Camp Borden in Canadian Army, my nan was a WREN working on airfields in Britain as a ground crew maintaining machine guns and later serving on AA crew. None of them talked openly about what they saw, and experienced, except with other veterans.
As an Active Duty Navy Chaplain currently serving with I MEF, two things that will get your butt in a sling quick - Stealing from your fellow service members and Lying. Thank you Don for your fervency for the truth!!
Yes we were buddies at The Explorer Club, remember? I have a problem though. I just pulled your records and can’t seem to find your name listed in de Navy database, looks like you never served a day in the military. Can you help me with that sir, do we can straighten this out?

Brought to you by the Universal Life Church. Join Ministers such as Stephen Colbert, Lady Gaga, George Harrison and Jesse James. Navy SEALS welcome!
I can't stand these phoney religious types who go around claiming to be righteous and they use stolen Valor to try and sell it. This wicked man going around bearing false witness against his neighbors and he uses the prestige of a Navy Seal to make himself seem larger than life and beyond accountability to the Creator. I bet this reprobate couldn't even recite the ninth Commandment of the Holy Bible. Being a Navy Seal or falsely claiming to be a Navy Seal is not going to help you on judgement day. All men better get right with the Creator and follow his direct orders, or else...
Tell us how you really feel sir. Haha I love that you go after these idiots. What makes it even worse is that he is proclaiming to be a preacher. I’m a Christian and I think it’s disgusting what he’s doing. I love your channel and God bless you and your family & thank you for your service.
Anyone else been binge watching Don? Man I can’t get enough. Love ya work Don. I hope one day when your done someone can take I’ve this good work you do..
It's endlessly amazing when these guys say things like "I know who I am" like this guy did at 18:36. Even after having his story completely evicerated he's still clinging to it. One of the many things that makes these videos so fascinating.
Don, as an ordinary dude from the UK, I just wanted to drop you a line to say firstly, thank you for your service to the US - everyone in your country should respect men such as you. So while I'm not American, I have a high regard for gentlemen that have given their sweat, toil, and lives for their country. It's admirable and demanding of respect. Secondly, I think that what you're doing now is so very important. Stolen Valour is just plain wrong. It craps on the lives of the fallen, and as you have said, diminishes the service of others. It HAS to be rooted out and corrected. I'm sorry that your blood pressure and mood has to suffer for this - I can't imagine how all this must feel. I don't want to take up your valuable time, just wanted to let you know there's a disabled dude in Yorkshire (UK) that thinks you're an incredible man who is doing a vital service. Godspeed you sir, and all the best from over here to over there.
I wish that sentiment was shared over here for our guys & lassies. My dad's retired 3Para & apart from getting his class1 heavy goods licence, he's been left to get on with it. Our country definitely doesn't respect, reward or appreciate our squadies the way our American cousins do.. it's really sad for all they've given for this country
As a Vet with PTSD and living with survivors guilt daily this shit chaos my ass! They have no honor, just looking out fir themselves. Total POS! Thank you Sir
Welcome home Bryan! Our country is better with you here with us. I am thankful, truly thankful, that you live in this great country with me. GOD bless, Health and happiness to you and yours.
Shipmate!! Always a good time watching you. Thank you for all you have done not only for SEALS but also us non-spec ops veterans in finding the stolen valor out there.
I had a job once years after I got out of the Navy and my boss commented one day when I was having a minor meltdown "I haven't heard cussing like that since I was in the Navy". Way to go Don! Gave me a good laugh sorry it was at your expense.
Don, you're a gem, keep up the great work. My grandfather was a soldier and would've been appalled at anyone involved with stolen valor...thanks for all your efforts.
If I was a tattoo artist and was asked to tattoo a trident, a skeleton frog, or other symbols of SEALs culture I'd call Don in an heartbeat to have the guy checked.
Don, thanks so much for your service. Years ago I remember meeting a humble Viet Nam vet who was in the Special Forces. His dear wife was helping my Korean War vertern dad, during his last days of terminal cancer. We were over at their house and this amazing guy opened up about some of his experiences. Dam, he was in some serious shit. His wife told me she was surprised because he had never talked about some of those experiences, so I felt extremely honored that he shared. To all of those who really served, thank you! For all of those phonies out there, how dare you and a big FU.
I never got to serve. My uncle was in the 101st in Vietnam. I wanted to join but it was determined I had health issues as I found out that ruled me out from joining. However for those who did serve and are currently serving, GOOD for them! Thank you! I think its only less than 2 percent of the population that actually serve in the military. So as an American citizen, I greatly appreciate ALL that served in the military, no matter what branch it is or was. But WHY does anyone want to pretend they served when they did not? be proud of whatever you do as a non military person. It could be many things. A truck driver, crucial to our economy. A train engineer or working on the railroad. We need all of these type of jobs. Airlines, factories, Police, Fire and rescue , doctors, hospital staff, so many things that keep this country moving. All working Americans are important for our country. So do NOT go out and pretend to be a military person of some kind. Whatever you do is good enough. But a BIG THANK YOU to our military vets, all currently serving , past POW's and those who did not make it. I pray for you all and bow my head in silence for those wounded and who died in combat. I pray for those currently serving. Thank you
It's shameful to make these claims, especially when called out by the real deal. People often exaggerate their lives, but fess up when caught. Good work Don, as always.
Thank you Don, thank you for all you do. I’m a former Navy Officer, and no, I was never a SEAL nor claimed to be, day one of BUDS would have killed me. It angers me people brag about stolen honor. Thank you for calling them out.
I haven't watched this one for quite a while so I just pissed myself laughing again at the Florence Henderson line. Oh shit really ? , Mrs. Brady herself. That alone should have done it. Cheers from Australia.
I was buying some beer at a brewery and the lady at the register asked me if I was in the military or ever served , I said yes but I don't have ID to prove it I said I can tell you all about the USS WASP though, I was in the engine room, I told her and tried paying for my beer. The family behind said they got it I tried to tell them no but they weren't having that. So I thanked everyone for being so nice. I was a damn boiler tech. Just glad I could help run the giant taxi.
Paul, like you, I served. I was a PN. My job was to make sure you got paid or had dependents benefits, orders, advancement, transfers, discharge or retirement. You made the engine run and your job was important. The honor is in the service shipmate. I think it's great that you received recognition. We are all heroes to someone! God bless you and America 🇺🇸
I was the toughest SEAL there ever was. Once I spent 9 months submerged waiting for the right moment to unleash havoc. Then my mom's water broke and here i am.
Even more awful to be a hireling and fleece the flock. At least you can say this guy was very motivated and committed to being the biggest scumbag he can possibly be! He just needed to add assault on a pregnant woman like Mr. Floyd(almost 2 years sober now!) and we would have an undefeated winner here.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS, DON💯🙏You would think that it would be easy to verify their service or have someone that does that. These fake church guys will have some MAJOR explaining to do one day! This is part of their reward on earth....hope they enjoy it....
I can't imagine why these idiot's feel the need to make these claims. I tried to enlist twice and was denied each time , I failed the physical and am now permanently disabled but some of these guy's actually served and I don't understand why they aren't proud of that fact alone that they need to embellish their service record. It hurt's everytime I think about not being accepted but I would never claim something that isn't true. The closest I ever came to stolen valor was that my neighbor bought me an m65 field jacket after I was denied because he felt bad knowing how bad I wanted to serve but I never put any patches on it at all.
Chris , at least you made the effort to serve. I hope you find your passion. God has plans for you. I would have been proud to call you shipmate (USNAVY.86-91). Your moral compass 🧭 is pointing true north and that will always serve you well. GOD BLESS YOU AND AMERICA 🇺🇸
My best friend, who is a very good dude, also wanted to go into the service and he tried but had a medical condition (seizures) the preempted him. You wanted to, just like he did, that in and of itself is very respectable. I'll never understand these clowns that play these bullshit games
Similar story. I have a couple patches from a retired friend who was in the unit I hoped to get into on my wall. Apparently having several unwaiverable conditions, even when you look and feel healthy, is enough. I understand why the military doesn't want a liability like me, but it sure is a gut punch. I would have loved to be in any "un special service".
I’ve been watching Don for a long time almost since the beginning and commented on several videos I’ve never served in the Armed Forces and I’m grateful for every man and woman that has their special people in my opinion but I’m sick to my stomach what these idiots they claim to be a Navy seal or a combat recon marine or an army ranger I just don’t get it I don’t get the lies it doesn’t make sense to me I appreciate everybody’s service that has been in the arm forces I think they should be thrown in jail that’s just my opinion
@@bobmarlowe3390 thanks for your service I appreciate you I was de running the mill failed high school athlete so you’re one up on me take balls to join the service whether you’re a man or a woman and I appreciate everybody that has God bless
Another good reveal, Don. My late Dad was a Navy Fighter Pilot with the VBF-1 squadron, flying an F4U Corsair. He was only 22 years old, fighting in combat. When he mustered-out, he came back with a Navy Cross and an Air Medal. We kids often asked him about his combat missions, and he would never want to talk about it. But he paid a price. He suffered from PTSD ("shell shock").
The Eldred WWII Museum (which holds Mitchell Paige's MoH, he is also the man who started the stolen valor investigations), was one of the first places to start collecting WWII stories. They have 1,000s of WWII Veteran documents, stories, etc. They keep them in their own binders. It's a tiny ass town in PA, but the amount of history here is unbelievable. Just a normal guy with a BAR and a "Banana clip" lol It makes sense cause back in the day when I was deep undercover in the jungles in Nam, I carried a 30-30 lever gun with a banana clip loaded up with heat seekers, sometimes a drum mag. Just depended on how mad I was that day.
This guy should just be proud of his existing service and medal. Classic deception, answering a question with a question, "What was your job?", "Who? Me?"
Something like 2% of the population are veterans but every weekend at the hardware store 90% of the people in line are a Veteran. Of those 99% are Special Forces and these are people I encounter in every day life. I can't imagine Don's frustration being & knowing legit service members and having to flounder through the BS on a daily basis.

Your facial expressions are always awesome. And the composure you hold with a smile, when you really want to cuss and spit fire, is more than impressive.

I truly enjoy when Don gets done with a call and starts cussing, swearing, talking about his blood pressure, ruin his Sunday etc. it’s a real response to scumbags that get him worked up and shows his passion and pain. Wish he was my neighbor, friend or family member because I like a straight forward no nonsense person. Keep up the god work.
As always Senior Chief all the respect to you for doing this. At 10:53 did he say Florence Henderson? I recently had the sheer pleasure of confronting a very “storied former Marine” who trained R Lee Ermey. It was one of the best days of my civilian life. God bless. From former USMC 0911
@@craigwilson4439 …..yes sir…he was an old timer so I didn’t want to be too harsh but it turned out that he did not even serve. That’s when it took a turn for the worse for him plus a few other older brothers jumped in. Why people do this is beyond me.
Chief, can you do a video where you call someone you don't know and who you think has not heard of you but have proactively verified as an actual SEAL and let us see how a real SEAL reacts to these type questions? Maybe start out with saying you've heard from someone that he's a fake, just to get a colorful response. It would be a great comparison video to these clowns.
I wouldn't wind up someone who may have gone through hell, may have been spat on, called a murderer, been wished dead, living with health problems, financial problems, maybe heartbreak - and to suggest you do that for entertainment, or to compare, with valor thieves... Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if half a dozen SEALS came around and taught you what passes for a laugh.

I'm a Space Force Souper Soldier from the Moon Cheese War. It's all Above Top Secret of course so I can't talk about it.

Damn right, that is a hell of an idea sir
As soon as hear someone at a bar talking about serving in the vietnam war it's a pretty good bet they never left their morther's apron.

It’s because they have self-esteem issues and they want somebody to pay them attention and give them praise. Any idiot can say they joined the military but not many can say they actually accomplish something.
Amen brother! Couldn’t have said it better….
These are sad people who have no self esteem. In a way, it's a compliment that this is the dream they have, of being one of the these serving men. But they don't seem to comprehend what they are doing. How wrong it is...

Same here I was an ABHAN firefighter aircraft rescue known as Crash and Salvage. It was not glamorous as the SEALS, but just as important. Yes we were buddies at The Explorer Club, remember? I have a problem though. I just pulled your records and can’t seem to find your name listed in de Navy database, looks like you never served a day in the military. Can you help me with that sir, do we can straighten this out?
Thank you don cuz this is some hellbound activity
The "I'm a Pastor" shit is probably just part of his scam. People don't question someone who's a Pastor or Priest. That really is disgusting.
"dumb people"
I'm no expert, but SEAL and now priest must be signs of mental illness. He seems to crave a title and recognition.
don't leave him alone with the kiddies.
You too can be a Pastor or a Minister in just 10 minutes! Ordination Packages start at only $29.99! Also offering clerical clothing and wedding document packages.
Thank you for exposing these people. It seems like claiming to be a former SEAL is never their only grift.
A phony 😂

This is the best episode yet. Thank you Don for continuing to serve.
"MOS was explosives." LOL! Thanks Senior Chief.
As a Vet with PTSD and living with survivors guilt daily this shit chaos my ass! They have no honor, just looking out fir themselves. Total POS! Thank you Sir
Why do these fake seals do what they do ?
Welcome home Bryan! Our country is better with you here with us. I am thankful, truly thankful, that you live in this great country with me. GOD bless, Health and happiness to you and yours.
Bless you sir.
Shipmate!! Always a good time watching you. Thank you for all you have done not only for SEALS but also us non-spec ops veterans in finding the stolen valor out there.
He got that guy, stay healthy Don (High blood pressure) because there wouldn't great content like this without you. Love it 👍
I had a job once years after I got out of the Navy and my boss commented one day when I was having a minor meltdown "I haven't heard cussing like that since I was in the Navy". Way to go Don! Gave me a good laugh sorry it was at your expense.
Great work Don. How you cope with the bullshit you put up with is beyond me. Watch that blood pressure 🙏✌
And then id put the tattoo on with a giant 🚫 layed right over the top of that fake trident
Yeah, who's doing these bogus tats?
@@BarrywHiteFTW if they are pre-paid, many will tattoo anything.

Happy Easter, Senior Chief.
All the best to you and your family.
Thank you
Hey Don, Happy Easter bro. Thanks for all the content.
I was on the WASP in 2000. LF6F, 24th MEU(SOC). Best deployment ever! Semper Fi brothers…..😎 And thanks for your support; Naval force projection!

Bwahaha ! Take no prisoners ….
I love this guy and what he does! Thank you Don for what you do with these idiots!
It is just awful to hear real veterans make stuff up like this. Even on a boat, you have to have some cool stories after 8 years or so of service.
Shit you can get a lot of cool stories just from a single deployment.
@@Sov92 You can get a lot of cool stories from a single port call!!! :)
@@fouledanchorfarm1192 IF you are sober enough to remember them.
Ironically some of these guys actually served in the military honorably...but they soil their service by exaggerating what they did in the service...
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS, DON💯🙏You would think that it would be easy to verify their service or have someone that does that. These fake church guys will have some MAJOR explaining to do one day! This is part of their reward on earth....hope they enjoy it....
I was in DUDS class 131 and don't remember anyone named Don Shipley in my class.
And would never lie or make this shit up!!
How old are you, if I may ask?
How about you? Are you sure you aren't living my life because you just told my story .
I think that is the most anger I’ve seen from you Mr. Shipley on these videos. I always admire the way you handle these liars. Respect to you Sir.
i can feel don's blood pressure rise exponentially

Pay your respects to "A Marine Named Mitch" if you are ever in the area. Admission is free.
I'm a 21 year Army vet and I find it absolutely despicable when people claim stolen valor.
Great Job Don. You do a tremendous service for your Branch and Country!!

Chief, can you do a video where you call someone you don't know and who you think has not heard of you but have proactively verified as an actual SEAL and let us see how a real SEAL reacts to these type questions?
