They certainly are! An incredible bunch that keeps me laughing and wondering about the mysterious deer life. Every day it’s different. A variety of fleeting moments that are incredible and then they’re gone. But then back the next day for more!
Deer are amazingly gentle when they take a slice of apple from me. One never has to worry about being accidentally bitten. It would never happen. Their super sensitive to my fingers and would never mistake them for a bit of apple! Sometimes it makes me laugh out loud because they are so considerate and gentle with those teeth! 🦌🦌🦌🌹🦌🦌🦌

Deer are such docile, gentle and essentially trusting creatures, so lovely. Yet, they can be a nuisance. Although I live in Philadelphia, I have encounters with them often as there are many in outlying areas of the city. Chestnut Hill, Mount Airy and Northern Germantown have plenty of them, and they're numerous in Fairmont Park and the Navy Yard, both of which aren't very far from Center City. I've even seen a couple young, apparently lost bucks in the Tacony neighborhood, which is a totally developed area. And, I travel fairly often to the Finger Lakes in New York where there's deer all over the place. I find them adorable to look at...
Where I live, there doesn’t seem to be any signs of overpopulation. Perhaps because there is so much land around here for them to roam. A huge amount of woodlands is owned by the local lumber mill and it just goes on for miles up the mountain. Occasionally you have them darting out into the road but it’s rare. Generally, people around here love the deer. The only thing you can’t really do around here if your yard is not fenced is grow roses or vegetables. At least openly. They just can’t resist that stuff. There have been times where my roses are just starting to bloom and I’m feeling like I’m going to have some nice ones, and then the next day I’ve got nothing but bare stems sticking up. And tomatoes? Forget it unless you grow on the deck, and believe it or not I’ve had some times when the deer have come up on the deck to eat the tomatoes. Oh well. I love having them in my life so I do what I can to just not let that bug me. 🤕
I am so glad I found you here, Sir. Tge Elders are kind to allow you to film these God filled moments of peace and harmony. Please relay my gratitude to them. Thank you for you gentle nature and sharing it with us. This has brightened my day. I look forward to more of these quiet moments with you, the wildlife and God. Good day to, sir. Godspeed.
@@wildlifeathome The Raccoon part of the channel is currently kind of sliding due to the raccoons not showing up as much, especially all at once. I think they might be going through a territorial thing and some are hitting the road. Last night only two showed up. Of those that choose to remain, there will be reproduction come June so that will be interesting to see all the new little ones. 🦝🦝🦝🦝🌝🦝🦝🦝🎩
@@soarornor Baby raccoons are super cute, We had a large live trap just to see what it may catch, one day it had a mother and her kits inside. I opened it to let them be on their way and the mom bolted, leaving her little ones behind. It wasn't long before they were all reunited, thankfully.
Liked and subscribed 👍 How wonderful it is to be able to be in the company of deer. Such beautiful animals. The feelings I get are like becoming one with God’s creatures. Nothing but pure love. I live in the Southern parts of the States where deer are hunted for food and sport. Some guys spend thousands of dollars and spend hundreds of hours trying to draw the prey into the kill zone with feed plots, etc. I can’t stomach hunters. You already have everything you need from a grocery store. Enough animals have already been slaughtered for you….all packaged up and waiting for you😞❤️🙏 Why kill more?!😐
Ahhh..I've been blessed to walk with whitetail deer for over 2 decades.. we've learned a lot from each other.. I just got in from visiting my family of 5, Matriarch Zoe who is going on 7 this spring, her Rosie(going on 3) Nanny Daisy(going on 2) & Rascal & Luna.. We spend a lot of time in the evenings in winter resting together, they fall asleep for 3 hours or so.. I share apples a little differently than most folks..the deer & I just hit the apple trees, I shake & pull some.down, I take a couple bites & pass on..we bond & enjoy good food.. I forage blackberries as they eat the foliage, not the berries, so we have fun in the briers! I also enjoy the grape leaves, wild strawberries..& of course we all love the garden..good life with good friends & good food is universal.. 😋❤🦌 I can't speak for your blacktail deer, but my Zow let me follow her fawns' full development..perhaps you too will get the chance! That little girl is adorable! Everyone was calm & happy! They might let you follow them more over time, being with them more than in front of them.. I walk in the path taken by the matriarch, a sign of submitting respect to her authority & intentions. Family travels the same path. I've learned so much from my friends, it is amazing to gain understanding of their world & ways.. I enjoyed this moment, but now I have to find some apples...lol😄 Be well my friend!
Wonderful story! You sound like you’ve got a similar thing as me going on. Sounds like you’ve been at it awhile too. I’ve lived here eleven years but this is the first time I’ve been able to have this close of a relationship. I credit the humble apple. It’s brought us altogether in such a magical way. The grains being consistently given out has also helped. I’m learning a lot about them too. I’d love to reach a point where we all wander together. That would be something else. I have run across them in the woods and we’ve hung out a bit there. My fields are vast so there’s lots of wandering room there. I’m very much looking forward to summer to see how many new fawns there will be. I’m hoping they’ll come around regularly and I can watch them grow up. Thanks for the great comment and visiting my channel. 🦝🦌🥀👏🥀🦌🦝
I love this! I remember back 30 years ago when my dad was dying of cancer we were out walking in the wilderness when we came across two beautiful doe and one was a fawn. My dad looked back at me and said I wish I would have given you a camera, not a gun when you were young, taught you to take pictures of this beautiful wilderness. Hit me hard and I have never hunted since that day. Hit me hard because they were so beautiful.
If a mean and rude jerk from New York ever sat down where the Amish guy was sitting he would probably take rocks or bottles and throw them at the deer.
that is a pure caring for animals, they loved you there, but I am guessing this is not your first time, they still kept som distance, but the younger just pulled right up, the older does get the less they want to interact, I think that is also true for humans :)
Yeah, it is really nice to be with them. Not my first time. That’s my hill and kind of the central hub for most deer activity. It’s a cool hill. Amazing sounds all around from creatures everywhere. The Mother and her fawn are the most forward and fearless but that took awhile. Now they practically bowl me over if I’m not slicing fast enough! The Twins are always the outliers. They never hand feed but they’re amazingly cool in their own ways and strike the coolest poses while listening. Always listening. The fields and the forests are alive with sound and they take it all in. Thanks for stopping by. 🌻🌾🐇🎩
Thanks. It is astonishing to be able to walk out my door and be in their world in an instant. 🦌🌞🦌 I never get tired of it. It’s the highlight of every day. Glad you enjoyed!

Those deer seem nice. Thats not the case where i live, got bit feeding a female deer 3 yrs ago at the national park. It was in heat and an 8 point buck ran over and attacked. Now i always bring a whistle in the woods to prevent animal attacks.
Thankfully I’ve never had any problems like that. This crew is friendly but it took a lot of time to get to that point. The Big Buck that shows up is also friendly and the opportunity to get to see and experience deer life up close like this is something I’m most thankful for. This didn’t happen overnight. I’ve lived here for almost 12 years and while I’ve always had friendly relations with the deer, it’s never been quite like this! I guess it’s the magic of always having some apples on hand and learning to walk very slowly around them with a soft voice!
@@davidmeckley3773 The deer know me and I know them. We give each other mutual respect and space. We enjoy each other’s company. Yeah, it’s cool. It’s interesting how they assume the same poses and routines. The watching. The listening. Ears moving about. Deep listening. Each deer seem to have their favorite places where they like to stand. They love that little grove of trees too.
My dear deer friends 😁😁😁
LOL! 🐇🎩🐇
So adorable!!🦌🥰❤️
Beautiful,thank you from Scotland 🏴
Thanks! So glad that you enjoyed. You’ve a great name too. Thanks for letting me know where you’re from. I wish everyone would include their place of origin as it’s really nice to know. It feels great to know that people from all over are watching. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🦌🌞🦌🌷🌷🌷🌷
What a pack of darling moochers!
They certainly are! An incredible bunch that keeps me laughing and wondering about the mysterious deer life. Every day it’s different. A variety of fleeting moments that are incredible and then they’re gone. But then back the next day for more!
I wish my female Dachshund would take a piece of food from my hand as gentle as these guys do..
What serenity, what joy to experience these moments with God's creation.
Thank you for feeding those precious deers.
🙂🦌
Odin has indeed blessed us.
So happy to hear that it brought you enjoyment. Thanks for watching! 💫🦌🦌🍎
You have managed to capture the bliss of SIMPLE PLEASURES, as it's just you feeding deer some apple slices. PERFECT! I'm curious if spending time with the deer has a soothing and/or cathartic effect on you? GUARANTEE it would with me, as I normally feel very soothed when I'm around animals--particularly exotic and/or wild animals.
Yes, it does have a very soothing effect. I really love them and have a great time just watching them and listening with them. Thanks for watching. 🦌🦌🦌🦌
You are really blessed to feed the beautiful gods before you in the form of deer. God really blessed you
I love deer 🦌🦌Thank you for feeding them. They are so beautiful. ❤❤ God Bless you.
Thanks! So glad you enjoyed. 🦌👌🦌

I bet that's what deer say "those humans they are so numerous"
@@mikeberrayThat’s probably true! 😎
Эх, мне бы так! Только синичек, да бездомных собак кормлю, и то радуюсь!
I’m not big enough I guess for a built in translator yet, but some day! I take it though that you enjoyed the video and I’m very happy for that! 🦌🎩🦋🎩🦌
Godspeed.
Thank you very much. I’m very happy that the video brought you enjoyment and peace. Thank you for watching! 🦌🦋🎩🦋🦌
So good to see :)
Thanks. Glad that you enjoyed it. 🦌🦌🦌🦌
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FRİENDS..
Greetings ...Wildlife at home recommended your channel, how you feed your beautiful deer friends. I am happy to subscribe !!
Thanks and welcome to the channel. 🦝🦌🌞🦌🦝
Thank you, Marilyn. These are the same species I have, just farther north of mine.😀 He has some wonderful videos of raccoons as well.😊
@@wildlifeathome The Raccoon part of the channel is currently kind of sliding due to the raccoons not showing up as much, especially all at once. I think they might be going through a territorial thing and some are hitting the road. Last night only two showed up. I could be wrong and they might just be doing other raccoon things but I’m getting that feeling.
TOTALLY AWESOME !
A peaceful life with some friends.
That’s exactly what it is. Thanks for watching and commenting. Glad you enjoyed. 🦝🦌🦌😎🚀
Watching this one again..
Love Your Interaction! &
I get to See you! Cheers
Feliz quem tem essa oportunidade
Yes, very much so! 🦌🦋🦌
I even feed my DEAR friends apples.
So kind of you! 👨🌾 🕊🦝🦌🦌🦌
Enough animals have already been slaughtered for you….all packaged up and waiting for you😞❤️🙏 Why kill more?!😐
I couldn’t agree more. Thanks for the comments and sub. Very glad that you enjoyed. 🦌🦚🦌
A precious moment in time. Simple shared pleasures .
Thank you 💕
Yeah, many precious moments in time. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Very happy that you enjoyed. 🦌🦋🦌
Great stress reliever. My BP just dropped 20 points because of it. Two hoofs UP.
LOL! Yeah, it is very relaxing to see them do their thing. Thanks for watching and the great comment! 😎
😋❤🦌
I can't speak for your blacktail deer, but my Zow let me follow her fawns' full development..perhaps you too will get the chance!
I enjoyed this moment, but now I have to find some apples...lol😄
Be well my friend!
How sweet, just like giving your puppies a treat.
Eat apples, not deer
Yes! Much better. 🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎
如果你只做簡單的事情,你的生活將充滿困難。 但如果你敢於做困難的事情,你的生活就會很簡單
I love this! I remember back 30 years ago when my dad was dying of cancer we were out walking in the wilderness when we came across two beautiful doe and one was a fawn. My dad looked back at me and said I wish I would have given you a camera, not a gun when you were young, taught you to take pictures of this beautiful wilderness. Hit me hard and I have never hunted since that day. Hit me hard because they were so beautiful.
Thanks for the beautiful comment. So happy that you enjoyed. Your dad sounded like an amazing man. 🦝🦌🌞🦌🦝
My uncle taught me respect nature on take what you need. .
God created all life so respect it just cause you can kill do not mean you should.
Good work, any animal lover is a friend of mine! ✌️
From Canada , thumbs up sir :O)
Merci pour cette vidéo !! C'est magnifique !!

Now you’re talking! 🦌🍎🍎🍎🐇🌹🐇🍎🍎🍎🦌
Awesome video! I loved it. Thank you for sharing it 👍
Glad you enjoyed. Happy to share these special moments with you. 🌼🌷🌷🌷🌼
If a mean and rude jerk from New York ever sat down where the Amish guy was sitting he would probably take rocks or bottles and throw them at the deer.
They wouldn’t be sitting here if they were that way. Only those that know how to be around the deer are invited! Thanks for watching. 👨🌾🌹🦌🦌🦌
that is a pure caring for animals, they loved you there, but I am guessing this is not your first time, they still kept som distance, but the younger just pulled right up, the older does get the less they want to interact, I think that is also true for humans :)
The deer are beautiful. I have not hunted them for 30 years and will not again.
That’s good. Much better to just be with them and admire than to see them as food. 🦌🦌🦌🌻🦌🦌🦌
I am so happy to see kindhearted people who are caring for these beautiful creatures! I only know assholes who kill them for food.
I feed them in the winter and shoot some of them in the fall. Its ok for me. Love this film.
You are so right Daniela. Most don't even eat them, they sell them to somebody else. Good sports aren't they, jerks in the eyes of the almighty.
What a beautiful video! I wish I had deer that visited my yard (I feed possums and skunks but not by hand!).
Thanks! So glad you enjoyed. I’m lucky to live on a piece of land that the deer have been existing for thousands of years. 🦌🌞🦌
Good for the soul to feed and be with the some of the most gentle of God creatures. Nice video.
Thanks. Glad that you enjoyed. 👌🦌🌝
If you've never split an apple with a deer you're not even living
Very true. One of life’s simple pleasures. 🦌🦌🦌🍎🦌🦌🦌
You make that apple last far longer than it seems it should. Like Jesus feeding the masses with a few loaves of bread.
The man looks like one from the Amish community.👍👍
Maravilloso compartir con estas criaturas 😊
Look like gandalf in lothlorien forest
That’s a great compliment. I loved the Lothlorian Forest! 🦌🦌🦌🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🦌🦌🦌
one of life's rare joys to be with nature.
It is. It’s a real rejuvenator.
GOD said love thy neighbor not false witness too the mess
They are soooo cute I love animal & feeding them specially deers they are so innocent & beautiful I envey you 💜 💖 beautiful life 💕
Thanks. It is astonishing to be able to walk out my door and be in their world in an instant. 🦌🌞🦌 I never get tired of it. It’s the highlight of every day. Glad you enjoyed!
Found you watching cabin girl I liked, commented and waited until the video ended and subbed should be # 157 if it sticks such gentle trusting creatures
Thanks! Welcome to the channel. There’s a lot more coming. 🦌🌝🦌
Fantastic. I love this.
Many thanks! Very happy you enjoyed. 🌻🦌🌻
Deer love’s oats in molasses
So I’ve heard. I think there’s a bit of that in the grains I feed them. Definitely smells sweet and they really love the stuff! 🦌🌻🦌
It's best to leave the deer alone when they are in rut. Bucks have been known to really nasty at that time.
@@davidmeckley3773 The deer know me and I know them. We give each other mutual respect and space. We enjoy each other’s company. The buck that comes to visit is amazing and I’ve never felt any fear of him. Only the Mother and her Little One come super close to me when feeding apples. The overall feeling is just as it appears in the video.
It's okay if the deer know you. I know a man that got almost got gored to death in pa by a buck in the rut in fall turkey season
@@davidmeckley3773 Well, I think I’ll be fine. The only big fellow that comes around is still pretty young. He just lost his two point antlers. He’s never thrown me any negative vibe whatsoever and he’s got plenty of room around him to not feel boxed in.
That is so beautiful 💕
Thanks for viewing! Glad you enjoyed. 💫✨🦋
Throwing those apple chunks, don't let go of that knife! You'll be having venison for dinner!!
Don’t worry! That knife is so dull. They’re safe.
I love feeding the animals myself, specially the wild ones, theyr always hungry poor things.
Yep. Especially in the winter. Thanks for watching. 🦋🦌🌾
They like acorns to
There is only one God the Lord God!! Our Father in Heaven!❤🥰 not Gods.. lol but yea these are his creatures he creates and we need to love them and have Compassion on them! This is so so adorable to have them trust you and come up to you like this! I’d be in my glory if they came to me 😂❤❤❤👍
Thanks! It is a beautiful thing to be able to hang out with them. Every day is different yet has many similar elements. Very glorious to just be still and quiet with them and observe. 🌝
You are a good hearted man
An Amish man and the sweetheart deer.
So satisfying. Thank you good sir.......
Your welcome. Very happy to hear how much you enjoyed the video. 🌾🌷🌹🦌🌹🌷🌾
I think it's great that he is feeding the deer. However, how does an Amishman reconcile being on RUclips or for that matter, using electricity at all?
I’m a rebel with a cause! 📷🖥📡🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌
❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊 awesome !!!!
Just give them a couple buckets chopped carrots apple and some cracked corn . Like a trough for piggies
That sounds pretty good! I tried feeding them carrots once and they gave me that look. Weren’t interested at all. They love the Livestock feed that I give them. And Antler Max. That’s got grains and cracked corn in it. But apples. That’s their one true love. 🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎
Get some pink lady apples very juicy thin skinned apples they will love u 4ever
These are Koru apples and they’re amazing. Sweet and just right. They love them.
