I don't think its playing, I think its frustrated that it cant drink as the water keeps moving away from its mouth when it bends down for a sip. stomping the front hooves is a sign of anger in ruminants like moose.

Great that you captured it playing. This last summer I had three fox kits playing in my lawn sprinkler but the video I shot on my phone, you couldn't even tell they were foxes. The human eye coukd see them clearly and I watched them play for close to 1/2 hour, it was so cute and funny, it reminded me of my kids playing just like that decades ago.
Interesting to see people commenting them to be good at attacking static objects, which they're actually piss poor at. Now running in ditches, forest, avoiding boulders, tree stumps etc. without any efforts going about 40km/h, now that's impressive about their physique.

It appears that the moose had a good time. That is a tough sprinkler you have there…it took a beating but kept working. And, may I add, you have a beautiful, lush, green lawn…it’s spectacular.
This brought memories flooding back of my dog Abby who went bonkers over sprinklers...she would play with them for hours if you let her. Nice to see that moose (at least young ones) have a playful side.
The whole thing was hilarious. My guy was thirsty. Then he realized "this is a game" and it went downhill from there. I picture a fully grown moose out there, with someone's laundry in his antlers. Seems like the logical progression of this guy.

I'll always love watching baby ungulates play. Of course I'm biased after owning cows my whole life and sheep for well over half, but still. They're so adorable when they play and I love watching their personality come out.
OMG! That's adorable! People that say animals don't have feelings are the ones without feelings. Animals like to play, they like to snuggle, they express joy and happiness. I would much rather be with animals than most people.
And at the same time these awful people make fun of people who are good with animals to (thinly) guise their jealously as something resembling superiority for fearing animals, which are obviously dangerous when you don’t respect them.

It was trying to destroy the sprinkler, not so much play with it. They can get quite aggressive.
