REY IS NOT A SKYWALKER! She was not adopted by Luke, she was not adopted by Leia, she didn't Marry Kylo and even if she did she'd only have claim to the Solo name not the Skywalker name.
The only, and I mean the ONLY thing she has in common with the Skywalker bloodline is the penchant for kissing one's own relatives!
Oh and for anyone unaware of what I'm talking about: in Legends, the original script for RoTS, and even in a canon Vader comic, Palpatine is the one who manipulated the Midi-chlorians in Schmi Skywalker to create Anakin. Effectively Palpatine is Anakin's Father. So Rey and Kylo are cousins.

Yoda was helping on dagoba. He knew he would need to train Luke so he had to stay hidden but through the force he gave guidance to many surviving jedi including Ezra and kazan. Yoda knited kanan giving him the confidence to continue training Ezra. His knowledge was far more important than his battle skills. He held the most knowledge of the jedi and knew he needed to learn how to become immortal in the force so he could guide future jedi. If he went and fought and died all that knowledge would have gone with him.
