I thought when the time came I could handle it. I had held my age well. Then one morning I hated my mirror! I done away with all my makeups. My daughters and granddaughters herad the news and came running. They also took hair extensions, and my closet door was open told them take what you want. You see I dressed younger and to survive aging my world changed that January Morning. I when and had a total makeover. My hair new makeup and right now I'm trying Roc for my different wrinkles and my makeup has gone to lighter shades my hair cut short and easy to manage I had lost weight that's why my face look like a dry up pruire. 10 lbs was all it took. I'm told my hair and make up makes me look like Jane Fonda I'm 4 '11" she 5 '11" but I'll stay short. So now it's April I'm ready for vacation. And going older will be OK. But my daughters and granddaughters they didn't know, but they got a lesson that January morning.

When my mom was almost eighty she told me that she still felt like a sixteen year old inside. She was beautiful and very young for her age but now I know how hard it is to age on the outside while our soul is still young. You look lovely tonight.

    • @meebzilla
      @meebzilla Год назад +61

You're wonderful for understanding your mom. Yes, I'm 66 and I still feel like I'm 16, 24, 31 inside. I just can't reconcile the image of me in my mind's eye with the one I see in the mirror, and when I look down at my body. There's such a sadness there, not necessarily for the looks, but for all the things you can no longer do, or wear, and I feel like I don't even know who I am anymore. And the worst part of all is that the older I get, the faster time seems to go, and I'm conscious of how limited is my time left to do even those things I'm still able to do that I want to do. But it's true, with age comes wisdom and that truly is priceless. Got to have something good out of getting old besides a senior discount, lol.

Great video lovely lady 💗 I would agree with you about my glam…I like to wear make up on a daily basis, but it depends on what or where I’m going/doing as to how much I wear. As long as I’ve got at least, mascara, lipstick, eyebrows pencilled ( mine are so fair ) and a light covering of foundation or tinted moisturiser, then I’m good for the day around home etc. but I like to go the whole hog when going somewhere special. My mum is 85 and disabled, so spends most of her time indoors but she puts on her makeup everyday regardless, as did her mum. I’ve always worn makeup everyday from school age and my daughter is the same. And we have all always taken great care of our skin too. I know a lot of ladies don’t see the point in wearing makeup everyday and some don’t like it at all, but to me, it’s part of making the effort to look up together and well groomed. 😊🌺🌼🌸

This was actually very helpful watching you put makeup on. I'm 35 and have always had small eyes with kind of droopy/hooded eyes. I was blessed to have no wrinkles for the most part around my face until suddenly over night I have very obvious wrinkling under and around my eyes. Suddenly every concealer I grabbed made it worse. All my fav concealers I ADORED went to the 🗑️ suddenly matte, or powder foundations were a complete and utter fail. I found myself having to learn how to apply makeup all over again. For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to wear concealer without it setting into all my wrinkles. But you're method I've pulling the skin seemed to do the trick. All the RUclips makeup tutorials these days are of girls with perfect young skin. You're video is what I REALLY needed. I'll be sharing this with my Grandma too. She's in her 80's but gets so frustrated with her skin not cooperating and the how-to. I didn't understand that well until my wrinkles started being a big pain in the butt. As my grandma always says "buckle up buttercup" I know what I've got going on face/body wise is nothing compared to what's coming, but I do know my family on both ends don't do well with aging. But.. that being said it's better yet to embrace what you can't change. What matters is what's on the inside. My Mom bless her soul up in the heaven's always said she felt like she was still 18. My Grandma in 80's says she feels like an 18 yr old in 80+ yr old body too. As everything starts to sag and gravity takes the upper hand who cares as long as I'm young inside forever lol.. Can't stress too much over the inevitable. Am I right!?

Good skin care and hydration is the first important step. I love eye shadow, mascara. I have very sparse lashes. I use a lip balm. Lipstick is just to hard looking. I want a soft natural pretty look. What a fantastic video! What would we do without our daughters?! I’m 47 and I’m so fed up with my make up looking so bad with my skin aging. My 9 y/o daughter said mom it looks too heavy and it’s making you look older. And I agreed. Problem is I’m always looking for a heavier concealer cause I got melasma after my late-in-life pregnancies as well as previously suffered from adult-onset acne with the onset of PCOS and endometriosis. So I need a thick concealer to cover these imperfections (or dark spots.) So I have switched to not using foundation at all. I just use concealer and buff it out so sheer and put on some blush and some bronzer and my daughter has said that looks way better mom! 😊 I am also really all 3-type “glams” as well. 💅🏻 Some days I go all out with the hair, the make-up, the heels! It helps me feel young. Baby And I always feel young at heart. Our skin may be aging but we all still feel young at heart. I’m in the edge of my seat to hear what happens with your GPS! First time ever watching this channel and couldn’t stop ❤ I love the story of the vest. I’m 44 and going through early menopause (health issues and surgery related) and I was never one to wear foundation because I didn’t like the look or feel of it on my skin, I used bb cream and concealer. I never put it on right apparently either but I could do some beautiful eyeshadow etc. Anyway, I’m noticing spots and discoloration now, but from the neck up I sweat! And I mean sometimes it’s ridiculous bad and lasts or can last a couple hours at a time sometimes several times a day. I want to start wearing foundation but I literally sweat my moisturizer off 😖😖 I don’t know what I can do. I have to have toilet paper ready when I do my eyes even especially if I’ve recently showered so I can pat the sweat off. I always have to do my brows, I barely have any hair there now. If you or any of your subscribers have any tips or suggestions for me I’m all ears. I keep thinking I have to wait out the nightmare. I’ve also put on 50lbs. Not loving it. I do have some stomach and digestive issues but I’ve never in my life been this heavy even when pregnant with my daughters. I’m down depressed and don’t even like leaving my house to go out like I used to. I’ve never shared this much let alone on a public world wide platform! I just felt like I could talk to you. Thank you. I would say when I was younger I was full glam now just a quarter glam. ☮️💟

Looks beautiful. I am 68 and having the creasing problems. Your makeup is gorgeous. Thank you

Creasing is part of it all where there are wrinkles. Some products do better than others.

Your makeup looks beautiful!! I'm in my mid 60's and seeing quite a few changes in my skin. I'm very blessed in so many ways but even so it's hard getting older! I have found that not wearing any foundation works best for me and also wearing matte eyeshadow since everything else I have tried only enhances my wrinkles. Sometimes I will wear a little CC cream. I keep my makeup very minimal and light and I also stay away from anything powdery. It's definitely a blessing getting older but it's hard to get used to all the changes.

Yes, it can be daunting but remember beauty comes from within. The beauty industry emphasizes youth which is really sad. If I launched a brand, I would market the brand totally different. I used to be in marketing. I was a graphic artist before computers. I see it all in my mind actually. To date, I have not seen what I see in marketing, close...but not what I see in my mind.

    I’m a no-glam!
Just turned 68 and wear NO makeup!
    Hate it!
    Used to wear a lot!
Clinique foundation, highlighter, powder, blush, eye shadow, eyeliner, lipstick- Blegh!
Did away with it all around age 40.
Now, I feel I need a little sprucing up.
Went experimenting with drug store cosmetics and hate it all!
The only thing I like that I bought is a lip-plumping gloss that looks natural, really moisturizes and has a baby-pink color to it. It looks and feels great!
The little eye shadow kit is okay and I’ll have to experiment with it a bit as it’s been so many years!
Had a bleph and ptosis surgery so eyelids are a bit folded still but that’s aging!

I went through a purist stage for a very long time. It is good to do that. It helps with being comfortable with who we are naturally. Go easy and experiment with ease and grace.
