I ordered two of these on June 3rd from bang good and can not wait I am eagerly awaiting their arrival, today is July 9th and they are slated to leave the warehouse in the next day or so. I hope they get here before our camping trip in September.
Robert Kubrick good luck with that! I hate warm tints too, it’s 2019 for gosh sake cool white looks so much more high tech and reminds me of blue skies :)
@@georgecostanza2695 + Too true! Why buy a very bright flashlight, only to make it less bright in appearance? Natural colors? Are they doing photography by a flashlight?
Robert Kubrick Thank you! There seems to be a lot of wussies in the flashlight world recently😂 Real men make sacrifices for MORE POWER! I’m the kind of guy who always goes for the more powerful car, tools, computer, or vacuum cleaner, even if it means compromising on efficiency, longevity, weight, cost, convenience, whatever! So when it comes to flashlights, I’m not going to sacrifice power for pretty colors!
@@georgecostanza2695 + A few of those things have their place. My favorite EDC light is a Nitenumen x1 (as low as $19) at the moment, it's convenient, powerful and for it's size, bright. Has micro USB charging. Best of all, it's white light and will throw 850 lumens until it steps down or 380 lumens continuously for 4 hours on a 2500 mAh battery that I get for $2. I have some 3500 mAh LG MJ1 on the way that cost me $7. It's the light I carry, when I don't expect to need a light. If I think I need a light, I will bring the Convoy C8+ XPL-HI ($25). If things look dire like back during Super typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) with 175 mph winds, I would break out the ThruNight Catapult V6. I also have a BLF Astrolux A6 1600 lumens that steps down after a minute. Bigger lights aren't that hard to carry, just stick them through your belt between belt loops. You don't have to wish you had a better light on you, you can.
Hey Charles, i just bought this lite from BG but the wait on it os almost a month, but from what i see , its worth the wait, love your reviews, I have around 30 flashlight in various makes and models but i have to ask.... How many lights to you own? And which is your favorite EDC ?
I just got it, nice little thrower...but biggest con is no memory at all...always start a lowest mode and has to be pushed 4-5 times to get to turbo which is I always want....:-( I should get the CW, this one has a yellowish white! Nice sand color...so a nice light overall and pretty cheap! less than 20 USD right at Gearbest.
@@CharlesBridgTec 9mm on c8 reflector? I thought it was 7mm is better. Can you explain as simple as you can, how that 9mm is better and further than 7mm? Thanks a lot for kindness 🙏
I have a convoy s3 and way too early in my opinion it starts blinking every couple seconds to let you know the battery is getting low. It may do this for nearly an hour before the batt dies. Do the other convoy products do this? I want to love the light but that makes it real hard.
Need some advice, pretty new to the 18650 batteries and flashlights. I just ordered a convoy c8+ what's some good 18650's at a reasonable price? Thanks for the advice in advance
If they both have the same LED then I would go for the cheapest price for they are very similar in performance! Also CW or NW should be about the same. Thanks for watching!
I finally received my C8+ in cool white. It's great. Probably the best buy there is right now. If I only had one light, this might be it.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the subtitles, hello from Kazakhstan

Loving that “sand” color, and nice touch with the AR glass!!

Hi
What is the difference between this light and the c8+ sst40
Is the sst40 brighter or this one you just reviewed?
Thanks
Ludovic
Difference is in color temp of the beam. The Convoy Sand Color was closer to 4k. The Luminus SST-40 is cool white at 5500-6000k. Thanks for watching!
