The best selling point is the customize-able modes. Finally a company understands what most people want from a flashlight. Most people don't want a lot of modes and strobes.

Thanks Jake, for the info on the battery and the amh. Flashlight seems like a great buy. Thanks. Tony

Thanks for shedding some light on this product :-) the reflector looks like in a emergency/survival situation, it could be used as a solar firelighting device to get and ember on charred cloth or natural tinder. Thanks for sharing.

With the Biscotti driver my favorite mode groups are Group 11 and 12 for simplicity.

I am not a fan of overly complex User Interfaces on flashlights. For me the best flashlights are the ones want very simple controls.

Can i use the 18650 3600mah 30amp batery for this?

Any 18650 size battery that is at the standard 3.7 volts will work.

144 meters+ or a rugby pitch of beam throw. Pretty damn good.

How much Candela at Turbo Mode? Great Video!

The manufacturer, like most modern LED flashlight makers, do not include candela specifications, its all in lumens. It also depends on which LED chip it has (it sells with over a dozen different ones). Max light output in turbo mode is 3000lm, but that only lasts for 20 to 30 seconds and it drops down to about 2000-1800lm.

9:53, how to program the light that arrives with no instructions...

There is a chart with instructions on this page: www.banggood.com/Convoy-C8-Sand-color-XPL-HI-1100LM-Memory-Function-Professional-12-Group-55Mode-Tactical-Flashlight-p-1294747.html?ID=521817&cur_warehouse=CN
Just look down the page a bit under the specs.

i think it's a good flashlight for defensive self-defense. however, i would prefer a 21700 battery, which simply lasts longer. i own a wurkkos ts23 with a 21700 battery and the flashlight is about the same size, if not slightly smaller, because it has a smaller lamp head.

buy yourself a couple of quality 18650 battery and you'd be happy with this light. 3500 or 3600 mah gives you 1.1 hours to about an hour and a half on max mode (based on my experience) olight and nitecore makes good 18650s

Battery check only available with strode. Strobe is the most annoying thing and they all do it. If you really needed to signal you could on/off. How many swats need a $20 light? How many gorgeous women jog at night in dangerous areas? No deterrent for muggers anyway. Totally ridiculous! Give me a powerful light without all the nonsense. Is that even possible today?

    • @CanadianCuttingEdge

There are a few flashlights out there that are made with a minimum number of features or settings but they are getting VERY hard to find.

@@CanadianCuttingEdge OK, I got the GT Mini. No idea what a strobe circuit adds to cost but I'll just program it out. And I'll finally have a light that doesn't make me queasy. I admit I like the ramp feature and being able to choose a sequence.
