This is one of the most advanced budget lights, fully user programmable with 12 different mode cycles to choose from, a wide smooth reflector gives it great range, only around $24, plus big discount, see the text box for links and Xmas sale specials.
I was very tempted by one of the new XPL C8s, now I'm going to have to buy one! The old XML2 version is my favourite light, but this one is brighter, nicer looking and has all those mode options...thanks for the codes, I enjoy your videos, all the best for Xmas!
The Biscotti C8 is indeed quite a treat, is it not? But I'm gonna save my money to get an L6, since I have a C8 that I love already (lovely neutral white 4C tint, 8x7135 for max power, orange peel reflector for a beautiful beam at both close and long ranges - good for _any_ situation that isn't a cramped indoors environment). Just a tip: no matter the C8 model you have, you can fit it tail-first into your jeans' coin pocket in a pinch! Won't be exactly comfortable, but it'll stay there for sure incase you gotta go hands-free for one reason or another.
Excellent. thanks for the discount codes. I'm very impressed with the Convoy lights. Being an Olight guy it's nice getting these budget lights with the advanced programming installed.
Nice to see you reviewing the legendary C8. I love these guys, even the cheap clones seem way better than most. Would you mind checking to see if the Lumintop cells with the built in USB charging can comfortably fit in these? I wouldn't mind getting one, but with them being 4x the price of a bare NCR18650B I wanted to check before buying. Thanks.
Well...I can no longer buy batteries online...here in Northern Ireland I can't have batteries delivered because, I'm assuming, the problem with bombs and shit
Since they are close in price which is a better all around choice, this Convoy or the Thorfire C8s (upgraded edition)? My main purpose is a good quality light with great light output with good throw and good spill. Also for my purposes a light with low, medium and high output is all I need.
I would go with this Convoy, because it is the same light but this one allows you to pick and choose exactly which modes you like, so you can turn off the Strobe and SOS and configure it like you prefer. This has great throw, very few 900LM lights can reach out as far as this.
Sold on another terrific product with amazing value due to your awesome recommendation and of course discount codes! Wouldn't know about any of this if i wasn't subbed!! Can you juggle knives?
Hi WAJK, love your videos and have been following u for a very long time. Please help me out, I noticed that you have this C8 and also the ARMYTEK Dobbermann. I was wondering if their throughs are comparable or if there´s a big difference between the distance they actually reach. Their price ranges are fairly distant, and from what I saw in both of your reviews they don´t seem that far in terms of through performance. I was actually thinking about buying the ARMYTEK Predator, don´t know if you have that one... but a comparison between the Convoy C8 and the Army Tek Dobbermann will surely help me out. Thanks in advance and keep up your excellent work.
Hi! The Armytek lights are more tactical lights, whereas this Convoy is more utility. I would go with the Convoy first, because it is a lot less expensive and you might find it is all that you need. If you get the Convoy and are still wanting an Armytek later, you'll feel more confident in the expenditure.
The only one I can think of is the Sunwayman F10C, but you might have to order it from one of those China sites to get a low price. There is also the Coast Quad Color, it's only $20 but it takes 3AA.
Hi knife juggling RUclips guy, please can you help me? I have just received the clear convoy C8 today , the one with twelve different modes. I have not had any previous experience with a programmable flashlight before. I took a look at the instructions on the product listing and I thought that I had made sense of it, as it turns out I am a little out of my depth . Please don't ridicule me to much, but I fell that a certain amount is in order. Anyway I thought I would give it a go thinking what harm can it do? Well as it turns out I have some how managed to lock it in to just one mode, 100% brightness I believe. Try as I might all I can do is simulate what must look like dodgy wiring or a rave party going on in my home to the neighbors if they happened to glance at my windows. I fear that I might of broken it some how, I hope that this isn't the case as I had only had hold of it for about ten minutes or so since the postie dropped it off. A bit of an opps moment, any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks
Hey buddy. Follow these steps. 1) Half press the switch 10 times or more until the light goes off instead of switching to the next mode. You will have to watch carefully to catch this. After it turns off, it will very quickly blink once more. After it blinks, full press the switch to turn it off. Now full press it once more to turn it on. 2) At this point, the light is now in programming mode. It will blink once. Then twice. All the way up to 12 blinks. It will then cycle back to once and start again. Don’t worry if you lose count of the blinks, it will just keep cycling back, so you can always see when it is back at one blink, again. 3) Turn the light off with a full press, right after it blinks a number of times equal to whatever programming setting you want (they are listed on the chart in the vid and at the product listing).
Disappointing review. I was expecting you to do long distance beam shots like with your other videos where you shoot down a football field, creek, road, or shopping mall parking lot. I want to see how far the beam can shoot. It would be nice if you can do comparison with this light vs the imalent dn35, and others. At least your videos aren't like those dead boring videos in which the guy keeps talking and talking and talking, but never shows any beam shots. If I want to hear a lecture about a flashlight, I'll go to a university and take a class. Some guys are so clueless or they're tooooooo technical about a flashlight which makes people fall asleep. "Show me, Don't tell me". Sometimes "Action speaks louder than words".
Sorry, I don't recall what I did for this review, but it was a while ago and I feel I have steadily improved my review quality over time. The flashlight community is toxic in many ways, basically it has too many people with high mechanical intelligence and low social intelligence, that is probably why many vids are a bit tedious.

hey buddy ..can you help me to find a budget 18650 flashlight with red and blue leds? Thanks!!

It has to be from China anyways..I live in Hell de Janeiro. You mean F10R or F20C? I could not find F10C. Thanks
Opps I meant F20C. The F10R is their 16340 battery version of it, and the F20C is their 18650 version, but they pretty much operate the same way.
