I got a Resistal hat like that (george straight) at a garage sale, and want to pop it all out, and make it into a gus. Would I ruin it, you think? I've never messed with this type of straw. Only palm leafs and a little with felt hats.

I spray paint my Strawhat to get the sweat stains out of it, which works however, when I put it on the dash of my truck it leaves paint. Any ideas about what to do with sweat stains and dirt? I use compressed air and high use soap and water on the dirt.
Dog got mine, actually it’s been several years. Anyone know what kind of adhesive/glue would work for anchoring the band back in around the hat midsection?

If you don’t got a steamer just use that shit to boil hot water that’s what I did and it worked 😂, for my luffy straw hat
You can put a shape some aluminum foil over the pot to shoot out better

yes you can it just depends on the material of the hat.
