I started watching you yesterday and can’t quit so I has to subscribe. Can you please to a favorite video? All your favorites like hair, makeup, skincare, movies, books, and anything else you can think of. Thank you for great videos. ❤❤❤
I'm a dietician and I will tell you that you are doing it the right way! You want to be able to sustain your "diet" long term! I am rooting for you! Also look up Dr. Mindy Pelz she is into fasting but even if you are not into that she still gives out a lot of great tips on low carb! Big hugs to you xoxoxoxoxo
Thank you! ☺️ And yes! I actually just bought Mindy’s book, “Fast Like A Girl”! I found her videos on fasting last month & decided to check out the book. I unintentionally fast 17 hours anyway, I just never thought about it as fasting. I eat dinner early & don’t get hungry till 10 or 11am. 🤷🏻♀️
I totally agree with eating predominantly meat. It makes you stay full longer and provides almost all the vitamins you need, especially steak. Increasing the pounds of my my weights is where I really saw progress, because your muscles start to replace the fat, that way when you do lose weight you’re not “skinny-fat” as they say. But really pushing yourself with muscle building overload will cause body recomposition. 👍🏻
You are so right about the importance of muscle building and eating enough protein. 👍🏼Just so there’s no confusion, I want to be clear about how I’m eating. A low carb diet consists of 20% protein, 20% carbs, and 60% fat. I’m eating mostly healthy fats, which yes, can be found in meats, fatty fish, nuts/seeds, avocados, cheese, oils, etc. I’m eating lots of greens & SOME fruit too for my daily carbs, about 100g per day. I don’t want to confuse ppl in thinking I eat mostly meat. ❤
ThAt sounds good to me! Trust me I eat like 50% carbs and 50% protein. But that’s just what works for me, I’m not so into fits but I’m a huge carb fan. Whatever balance works for you because every body is different and just takes trial and error. I can’t live without carbs but I barely eat vegetables. Somehow it works out because I lost 90 pounds in 1 year.
All I mean is I’m not saint! I just found what works because I realized I absolutely I love carbs and I can’t live without them lol so I just found ways to put them into my diet without making them unhealthy.
Still in the works, we are currently waiting on one approval and once we get it the master bath is getting remodeled. Also we’re placing our new fridge in the kitchen and getting a large matte black sink installed. This project is taking sooooo long, so I figured I’d talk about it again once it’s done & I can just show you guys. Thanks for asking! We’re excited.
I don’t understand you say you’ve been doing this way of eating for a week? I thought you had been doing a different way of eating and we’re satisfied? Check out Dr. Neil Bernard plant-based.. you won’t be hungry
Yes, I’ve started eating low carb. 🙂 After my 30 day fruit/veg challenge I aimed to continue eating predominantly fruit & veg & just add protein into my meals, but I fell into a depression & started eating a bunch of comfort food & gained 5 pounds back. So I started looking into low carb (Chris recommended it to me) because I needed a way of eating that would help me move past my addiction to sugar. This is my weakness & where I lose control. I found Dr. Becky Gillaspy’s YT channel where she teaches how to eat low carb & how to get fat adapted. This peaked my interest because being fat adapted means your body uses & burns fat for energy, instead of carbs. I’ve tried many ways of eating and I think they all work well. I just need to find one that I’ll feel satisfied with as a permanent lifestyle change. And I think it’s important for someone like me to try different ways of eating before finding the one that I’ll stick with. The most important thing to me right now is quitting sugar & eating a low carb diet has done something for me that no other diet has ever done…it’s taken away my food cravings AND my relentless need for processed sugar. It’s been 2 weeks into the diet now and I’m FINALLY able to quiet food noise and have full control over my eating. This is a powerful moment for me, to be able to walk by a cookie and not even want it!! I can’t believe the effects of eating this way and I’m so proud & relieved that the constant need for sugar is out of my life. It’s such a toxic drug & had complete control over me. Thank you for your recommendation, I will check it out. ❤
Super chill vibes, love it
