Yes, time to not only open the police case, but to report them to the federal reserve for banking fraud. They want to avoid the investigation, that likely will result in a few of the bank managers and executives being barred from banking, and the massive fine that comes as well. And, as they were this lax, the investigation will likely uncover a few other cases as well, so even bigger fines, plus the attempts to cover up the whole thing as well.

Bank story: Yeah, stuff like this happens more often than you may think. My wife and I have had some (fortunately MINOR) problems with our bank due to a woman with a very similar first name as my wife (Chritine vs Christina) with the same last name. If a publicly traded bank (BofA, Citi, Wells Fargo, etc.), use the internet to find a copy of the latest annual report (search for bank name investor relations). Both need some light shed on what has happened to prevent it happening again . 3; If for some bizzare reason the first two points don't seem enough reason to involve the police, the withdrawl amount means the feds have a record of this transaction. (I believe anything over 1k gets reported) If they (the bank) asked for a "no police" resolution, chances are the bank has done this before. If this is the case, that bank NEEDS to be investigated to find out WTF.

However, our dentist in England thought we had the same name, because they followed the normal practice in health care of ignoring all middle names.
That was common in businesses too, so if John Albert Smith bought a new bed and John Alfred Smith ordered a wardrobe, it was pure chance that determined which John Smith got what piece of furniture.
When I went to see my uncle in hospital, I knew to expect problems because he had a hyphenated surname. The ward clerk looked on the hospital intranet and declared that they had no one of that name. Of course she was following the rule of only using the last part of a compound name. @@bostonrailfan2427Now that you mention it, that's most likely. Still, I've seen people do the most idiotic things while convinced that their way was the only way. yeah…that first story is complete bullshit. the adjuster happens to not take any information nor verify with the actual policy holder the change of living situations, the company has no records to back their claims of the guy loving there, and the adjuster just happens to be “away” or “out sick”?

Uh, that first story doesn't make sense. How did the weird Altima dude get the OP's insurance information in order to add themselves to that policy? OP say they were initially on the seller's insurance, and that they changed to their own shortly afterwards. I'd assume the seller kept the original insurance on the Altima, since the story didn't mention it being cancelled at any point. So how exactly did this play out? I'm being facetious, whoever the OP of this story was fucking sucks at telling a coherent story.

Cleaning Story: If I were OP, I'd have quietly and covertly taken pictures of the various rooms PACKED with stuff, Emailed them to Boss, then called and said "I just Emailed you a bunch of pics, when you look at them, you will understand my next statement...There is no way in HELL anyone is surface cleaning this place in less than 4 hours...a deep clean is an all-day job MINIMUM!!! Due to that and how Bat-Shit-Crazy the Client is, I categorically REFUSE to clean this Hoarder HELLhole!, Do you want me to return to the shop or just go to the next Job?"
I suspect when the Boss opened the Email, the first thought that stampeded through their mind and exploded out of their mouth would be something along the lines of JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!!

I once had a bank open a credit card with a high limit on my account for someone else with the same name. When I panicked and called them, they cancelled the card. I was appalled that they didn't look at address or any other identifying info before doing that. But even more messed up is that 30 mins later I get a call from someone asking for me by name and asking if I cancelled a credit card. "How did you get my number?" "The person from the bank gave it to me" What the fuuuuuck?! Not cool TD!
