It doesn't work like that Josh. In the end you become Wenger's Arsenal, who's just fighting for top 4, player get tired of waiting for trophies and they leave. Like Van Persie, Fabregas and other young talent they had.
Chelsea have signed 27 players since the takeover. The question I ask is how much should 27 players cost? 100, 200, 500? So yes, a billion is a TON of money but when you see the sheer numbers they brought in (too many for sure) the spend doesn’t look that outrageous
I think the biggest problem at Chelsea is they (the owners) have turned the squad over too quickly and only have James, Chillwell, and Silva left as leaders. They sold or lost 10 seasoned premiere league players like Cesar, Mount, Loftus Cheek, Kante, Kovacic. That's the problem, how do you spend 1 billion euros and still don't have a proven or close to world class striker, left winger and goalkeeper. Just poor squad building, all youth, way too many new players. They need to stop buying and start building. Big difference there.
Lavia injured aswell now, there has to be something more going on for this amount and frequency of injuries - either that or we have bought brittle players

It is true that the Chelsea team is very young and new, and they need time to gel. The question is, are they going to be patient and give the players more time to gel? My fear is that a new season will come, and we will see more new young players coming in and going out.
Jackson looks good but doesn’t score?!!! Let not kid ourselves. He’s still unproven and likely not good enough for top premier league club. We need proven striker and creative midfield.
@@OOguns Let’s say this then. As a striker up top he has most of the attributes. Physical, fast, good link up when coming deep, tenacious, unselfish. Yes he doesn’t score yet and he may not, but we can say that all his other elements are great! Not every great striker in the prem was proven before they came. Aguero, Kane, Drogba… So let’s hope he comes good because he’s shown lots of promise!
@@OOguns Would you have said the same for Drogba when he scored 10 prem goals in his first season…? Atleast we can see that Jackson’s overall play is pretty tailored to the premier league. He just needs to start finding the net, which takes a lot of great strikers some time.
Signing a load of young player's for ridiculous transfer fees. And giving them long-term contracts on silly money in London. What could possibly go wrong? Alex Ferguson won trophies with a young team at Utd, but those players had come up through the system at Utd, this thing at Chelsea. I don't know, anything could happen but if it messes up, it's gonna be a very expensive nightmare trying to sort it all out.
Theres seven European spaces. With, at least, 8 teams fighting for them. Man City - CL pretty much certain Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd, Tottenham and Chelsea make the rest of the big six. Newcastle, Brighton, West Ham and even Aston Villa AND Brentford (previously Wolves or Burnley as the underdog punching above their weight) are knocking on the door. That's actually 11 clubs pushing for 7 spots. Clubs will miss out, they are going to have to push for the League Cup and FA Cup a lot more.
A good discussion. I think the key point is how far Chelsea have fallen off on their ambitions. They are happy to win in the transfer market rather than on the pitch
You can name 10 flops for every player that succeeds at Chelsea. It has proven historically to be absolutely NOT the place where young players should go to improve their game and fulfil their potential. Oh God I can already see Chelsea making a ridiculous bid for Ferguson in Jan after his performance this weekend. He will have double digit PL goals by Christmas.
So Chelsea basically has Brighton’s transfer policy as far as the age of prospects they want but instead of doing intense scouting and paying a small fee for these young players they will buy them for 80-120 million each? That sounds like a horrible transfer policy lol.
Err, Dahoud is 27 and Milner is 37. Brighton have an amazing mixture of experience and youth. Every ‘team’ needs leaders and experience on the pitch, Chelsea got rid of the ‘experience’ to reduce the wage bill and went all in on expensive ‘future’, forgetting about the ‘now’ and the ‘team’
Got a load of hate on a sky sports video for saying our transfer market has been awful, then we lose to Notts. Mudryk will never reach the levels of his transfer fee, alot of our players wont. You can't put that fee and pressure on kids to succeed and expect brilliance
Thats the thing with Chelsea; no matter how much they point at the fact that they're players are young and need time...a billion has been spent. Im sorry but thats always going to hang over their heads and expectations are going to be high.
The thing is that oppo fans can cry all they like about a billion. It doesn't make any difference to Todd Boelhy. Infact I am not sure even Chelsea fans booing makes a difference either. If Poch can get to top6 or maybe even 7th, Boelhy will persist with him. We all saw how long a rope he cut to Potter.
Bruh, the way ppl were slating arsenal for trusting in arteta after 2 years and only spending a quarter of what Chelsea have now… cone on now… after a billion you need to show some sort of achievement for real. If they finish 6 7 8 this season and next then it’s an utter failure, no excuses!
Expecting a squad with the average age of 22.5 to click immediately in the premier league is insane. Out of the original starting 11 from last season only 4 remain. Football fans are so reactionary it’s actually embarrassing
And when they come back from break they have death row of games , so if they lost to forest they gonna beat city, man Utd, arsenal, brentford, and Brighton in the next 2 months correct?
Making money on players isn’t what qualifies success. We are football clubs, I understand the ladder but clubs like Chelsea shouldn’t be investing in players for profit

I'm glad Brian has realised he has to interrupt Joey or he'll just carry on talking. The king of using 20 words when 2 would suffice.
As a Liverpool fan I’d love to have played Chelsea now rather than the first game. I think it would be a massacre.
I dislike the narrative that Chelsea were poor against Forest. We dominated the game were better in every stat we just coudnt score.
Josh is such a Stan
Bruh, the way ppl were slating arsenal for trusting in arteta after 2 years and only spending a quarter of what Chelsea have now… cone on now… after a billion you need to show some sort of achievement for real. If they finish 6 7 8 this season and next then it’s an utter failure, no excuses!
Expecting a squad with the average age of 22.5 to click immediately in the premier league is insane. Out of the original starting 11 from last season only 4 remain. Football fans are so reactionary it’s actually embarrassing
Chelsea’s defeat to Nottingham Forest was only one game.
And when they come back from break they have death row of games , so if they lost to forest they gonna beat city, man Utd, arsenal, brentford, and Brighton in the next 2 months correct?
They should change the manager and spend more money.
Making money on players isn’t what qualifies success. We are football clubs, I understand the ladder but clubs like Chelsea shouldn’t be investing in players for profit
Chelsea at full strength will challenge for top 4 all of our players injured are the back bones of the team who will carry us when we struggling nkunku Reece James and badshiealla we in rebuilding stage once poch remembers what made us play great in pre season then you will see the best of Chelsea
Joey knight deffo a great addition
There is a simple explanation for this, you cant play Career Mode in real life 😂😅😂
Chelsea the ultimate banter club
Looks like some of them are just making points for the sake of it.
Unironically prefer this lineup to the old
£1 billion to finish sixth (if they’re lucky) 😂😂😂
How small (breath) are Brians lungs (breath). Dude sounds like (breath) a muse tribute act (breath).
Can’t believe Chelsea fans are so accepting of what we are seeing.
You can't name Reece James when he's injured 90% of the time anyway 🤣
At Chelsea the previous owner was impatient, so the fans followed him becoming delusional in the process.
Mudryk has 10 less league apps than antony yet one is a clown and a flop while the other is "developing and needs at least another season to adjust". No TG agenda coz its not united though
