Thank you for sharing, I also had that “very dark cloud” after my second baby, it was just horrible, I finally told my doctor and she put me on antidepressants…it was a life saver for me, I don’t mean I was suicidal, but couldn’t find any joy and just cried so much. 😊🙏🏻💕
I'm glad it is working for you! I take duloxatine also, I am at 90 mg. Does not help my pain issues. I did go on an anti anxiety pill this year for flying to see my parents it helped and I actually felt better on it so I take it as needed.
I went for the natural way to get help , I met a mycologist who recommended I use psychedelics mushrooms to cure my anxiety and depression, it was the best decision I made and it was a permanent remedy I don’t use it anymore or any antidepressants
In terms of ADHD medication and considering it, I'd still urge you to because truth be told, out of any medication I've ever been on, my ADHD meds have helped my depression and anxiety more than anything else has.
I took duloxetine ages ago. I didnt find them helpful for me. But every is different. Im on sertraline for low moods. On low dose tramadol, too. I try to stay on low dose medication to avoid side effects. Therapy wise, i find hot stone massage therapy and osteopathy ok for me. I have fibromyalgia, bipolar, anxiety, scoliosis and autism. My meds havent cured my symptoms. They just work a little bit on reducing my symptoms. I am trying to eat more healthy and change my lifestyle as well.

Good call on keeping the Duloxetine at the low dose! More doesn't necessarily mean better, and doctors generally try to keep their patients on the lowest effective dose possible on any medication. It sounds as though 30mg of Duloxetine is effective for you. Duloxetine can be given for Ehlers Danlos pain, but it doesn't work for everyone. I can't have anything that increases serotonin, due to bad reactions, so I can't have Duloxetine.
I take a very low dose of Trepiline and it helps for all of my genetic illnesses. It doesn't stop the pain, but I feel a reduction. It takes 3 weeks to start working so you have to be patient. I take 25mg per day. It's prescribed off label and its primary function is anti-anxiety. To treat that, they use doses of 200 - 350mg daily.
I’m so glad it’s helping you for what you need it to do. That didn’t help my pain either. It actually increased it. I will say if you ever come off of it definitely use the taper method!! My dr said just stop it and I had serious withdrawal zaps and crazy withdrawal symptoms so I Got back on it and tapered off and it was much better . It’s crazy how some medication’s help someone so much and another person not at all but I’m so glad it’s helping you.!! My tiny dose of Lexapro is helping me but not my pain conditions and not causing weight gain but I’m only on 2.5mg
I'm only maybe 2 minutes in but had to stop and say... I was on cymbalta for years. It's not helping. They're weaning me off and it is pure heck, withdrawals (I asked them too because I'm tired of taking medicines for years and it's doing nothing.) like everyone knows, everyone's different.
I have a masters degree in research methodology. I'm the guy you come to when you need an explanation of an outcome. There's no correlation between depression and serotonin inhibitors. I have cripling pain 6 days a week, so I'm constrained in a room most of the time and I don't have depression, neither am I on meds. The most logical assumption from SSRI's studies, is that the placebo effect "cures" the person.
Yes! It has recently been proven in the past 5 or so years that depression is not due to a ' chemical imbalance ' of neurotransmitters. Exercise and omega 3's have been shown to be just as effective (if not more) as SSRI's.
I’m glad that dark cloud has lifted for you.😊 I really appreciate videos on your experiences with your mental health because I’m trying to figure my mental health out right now, and hearing what therapies and treatments have helped you gives me ideas and suggestions on possibilities for me. I’m trying to get in to a chronic illness therapist right now. I really struggle with depression I would say it was mild when it first started when I got sick, but now it’s probably moderate. I deal with a lot of lack of motivation, indifference to relationships and activities, a feeling of overall darkness, mood swings, irritability, and a lot of anxiety at night when going to sleep. I’ve tried lots of medications for sleep that are also antidepressants and am on one now for sleep, but none have helped with depression. I should have dealt with my mental health issues at the beginning but it’s hard when all your energy has to go to physical health. I know that ME/CFS research has found that dopamine and serotonin aren’t being produced normally and that the neurotransmitters are also damaged. With that and my quality of life it makes sense that I struggle with my mental health. Our mental health and physical health are definitely intertwined.

I'm sharing these findings because the side effects are often worse than the problem. The most common side effect among all SSRI's is feelings of self erasure.
This is such a divided and hot topic. Thank you for being brave enough to share your experience ❤

I am really sensitive to medications. I take really low doses of some of them. A few I take regular doses of but most I take low doses of.

Oh, and as a bonus, the adhd med even helped my fatigue and pain.
A better mood will also give you more strengh to deal with your pain, I gues...

I tried that but stopped taking it after I was getting weight gain from it. It also did not help my fibro pain either.

How do people mentally cope with chronic pain?!
you get used to as it blends into the background, but it always keeps affecting your mood and energy.

Why are drs not concentrating on the "gut to brain axis"??
Up effectiveness with cannabis or incorporate aloe vera grape seed extract for cymbalta
Destroying an inner voice drug ? Good for that .
