      Agree. This summer I processed about a yard of some ol'timers fines from a dredge/gravel operation from the Snake. Really rich about 2oz recovered, bright color high purity. Every bit of it was 100 mesh or smaller (dust). Very hard to capture .

    • @petertadlock9336
      @petertadlock9336 2 месяца назад +1

      It's very small, micron gold. And yes, it will float because it's so tiny - it gets caught on top of the water tension. Most pans will show no color at all, but a lucky pan might show 5 or 6 tiny specs. No flakes or pickers in my experience panning the Snake....

      No, First we were west of American Falls Idaho.
      Next, only used Fossickers Pyramid Pro Pan and a shovel.
      If you know the area of BLM land Pipeline Campground.
      There us concrete boat dock there.
      Can't use a probe or Mine Lab detector. Too much rebar in concrete.
      5 days total at boat dock.
      3 days total at BLM land under a bridge. I'll let you find the location on the Snake River.
      Back breaking work.
      Just shovel in a few load in Pan. Work Pan, keep shoveling.
      I Finally just kept shoveling. No clean out until the end of the day.
      Less than half a cup of "Cons ".
      I don't understand why some insist there isn't good gold in the Snake.
      After 9 days, I've pulled out 128.3 grams.
      Taking tomorrow and Sunday off.
      Back needs recuperation.

  • @petertadlock9336
    @petertadlock9336 2 месяца назад

    Yes, it's fake. I visited the area today - no chance he got 3+ ounces @ American Falls. He he panned near the docks and under the bridge. Well there is no access under the bridge at the waterline - it's all fenced off all around the perimeter with hazard signs. There is a small brook running parallel to the Snake on the south side, but four pans says it's barren. Area around the dock produced 2 micron specks from 5 pans. He said he was working the mud, but there is no mud anywhere near the waterline at this time of year(late July). I was thinking maybe the gold he got was residual runoff from the Fort Hall Bottoms, but the dam has altered the water course for and it's unlikely gold accumulates in any meaningful way near the docks. The gold I found was caused by the waves hitting the shoreline - you can see the line of black sands at the surface. Flour gold sccumulates in this. I'll return in the fall when the water level recedes a few feet. Not expecting much of a change. The gold he shows in the video absolutely did not come from the location he specified. Click bait....

    Pyramid pan is pretty neat. Get some cheap pallet wood and make a rocker box for it with a handle and foot pedal. It will save your back. Just don't over fill it and do a few little rocks to stratify, then big rocks to get rid of the overburden. I have a small rectangle piece of scrap sheet metal that I put in the water to rock on.

  • @fsbirdhouse
    @fsbirdhouse Год назад +3

    Watching your video I was struck by the lack of extremely fine gold flakes that you mention.
    The Snake river, if anything, is known for the difficulty of retrieving those extreme fines, as mentioned in 'Gold in the Snake river'. By, Lawrence L. Dee, Geologist
    I believe you were lucky to have hit that coarse gold in such abundance.
    But I believe if that coarse gold existed today for you, the location was either missed by the 'Old Timers', or they felt the clay that contained it (As you mentioned) was too difficult to work for it.
    I worked for a time on a large mine in Carlin, Nevada where the gold was locked in rocks and had to be removed after the rocks that contained it were crushed.
    If that gold was locked in rocks, how much more might have been released into the Snake river as river gravels broke down the similar host rock along its banks.
    We expect fines are abundant in the Snake 100,000 times to each piece of coarse gold as you found. How much more that ultra fine gold that is invisible to the naked eye exist as opposed to those fines seen in a pan?
    Gold leaf used in gilded signs in 3X3" by 25 sheets is quite heavy, though no more substantial than the dust off a Butterfly's wings, you cannot touch the sheets or they disintegrate.
    Find a way to capture such ultra fines in a sluice, and I think you'd be rich pretty quick!

    • @petertadlock9336
      @petertadlock9336 2 месяца назад

      I tested the area in question. There is a layer of grey mud about 2"-3" thick. It is NOT gold bearing. He's scamming us into thinking he hit a good spot @ American Falls near the docks and bridge. Not true. Just micron flour gold - nothing like he has in the video. Don't believe what he says.

    • @petertadlock9336
      @petertadlock9336 2 месяца назад

      He got lucky in his dreams only, and definitely not on the Snake. This is pure fiction, don't believe a word of it. Just to make sure I went to his 'location' and panned it. Nope. No course gold here at all. Just 2 micron particles from 5 pans at the dock and there is no access under the bridge(fenced off). He has never been to this location IMO. Fake 100%

But what is absolutely more worse than anything that drives me the most crazy is when some English speakers do not pronounce the "R" like Riva for River, Numba for Number, Dock for Dark, Shock for Shark, Mock for Mark, Pot for Part, Lodge for Large, Caw for Car, Baw for Bar, Paw for Par, etc..

    • @ukpiktonraq9811

      Not too expensive to get started. You say no where to go.
      You'd be surprised how much gold has been moved around by man and equipment in the past 150 years.
      Think about it. Roads for instance, where do the beds come from?
      A lot of it is river rock and sand. This moves whatever was in a location to another.
      Heard of a small area in south Florida. After working on the A1A , now known as I-75, or Alligator alley.
      Someone took a minelab metal detector , and just playing around the dump areas where dirt and sand was dumped for the building of the new expansion of the highway. They got hits. Multiple hits.
      Got permission to setup a small highbanker. Worked the area for about 4 days. Ended up, he and his wife found 44.7 grams of 18k gold. A lot of gemstones and about 14+ grams of silver.
      You just don’t know unless you look.
      With dump trucks, moving across the nation, minerals are constantly being moved around.
      I'll give you another, at your local Home Depot, they sell play sand for kids parks.
      Many people have found good color in those 50 lbs bags.
      See, if you research, you probably are closer than you think.

    With as many uhms, uhs, pauses and tripping over your words, you gotta start editing out your videos. Edit all of that out and it will make watching your videos much more pleasant to watch

      I like listening to this fellows voice in the video, umm (and even ahh ahh like Obama) are not too bad because what is worst for me is when people say "you know" or "ya know" over and over repetitively in a conversation which is really annoying and drives me nuts.

    My cousin spent a lot of time up there in Petersburg I think and the tribes were very welcoming to her, and my son got into sweat lodge, Native American church and Sundance and also studied with some of the S. American tribes and learned how to prepare ayahuasca and San Pedro and know who to speak to about the sacrament used in the N.A.C. peyote and is trying to use natural medicines to heal his body since his Drs in Oregon took away the meds prescribed in Hawaii....and it's dangerous and sometimes deadly to do that...but his dr was a meth head/dealer before he finished his schooling...my son thinks he has plenty of dr friends to write whatever he needed or needs whenever he desires then treats my son like a drug seeking addict who never had 10 years of sobriety before he broke his back on Maui, attempting to save a young man from drowning he lifted well over a ton and it has left him sooo broken, he does everything he can but if he works his but off for a week he can hardly get out of bed for a month unless he gets extra pain meds and adderal so his body doesn't shut down on him and tries to sleep either a few hours a painful, nightmarish sleep, or 16 hours where he gets' up after 8 has coffee takes his heart and blood pressure meds and he's out again...drives him crazy, cause he loves geology, prospecting, smelting and refining although the snake don't seem to need purification....anyways thanks a million for what you shared and he is going to order one of those pyramid submerged clay breaker and nugget collector.....God bless and if ya ever wanna go back to the snake, oh shoot, your coming from the S.E. and we are NW Oregon....but he is a hard worker even though he's busted all to hell he surprises me, but it's hard to watch him recover after doing all he can...thanks a million and if you. ever want help please call us at 503-939-2731 my wife Cindy's number, and tell her it's about the Snake river vids or if you can reach my son his number is 808-298-9207 but due to his nearly getting beat to death with a hatchet and a year later with a 2x2 his traumatic brain injury is just letting him communicate better now. that some healing has taken place.... or dear ol' dad just say you are the man who did so well on the Snake river and maybe we can have twice the work and 4x's the take....who knows, either way thanks a million for sharing. God bless
