    Man dude I'm 54 years old and my greatest interest is panning gold I'm from Ohio and I moved to Idaho Blackfoot I am a transmission but I've been looking for something to do for a hobby and that's exactly what I want to do pan gold

    Looks like up in Prichard area beautiful river wherever it’s located , I live in rathdrum just went and got about 70 lbd of rock and sand from Murray hope I get some nuggets

    nice vid i enjoyed coming along with you on this trip. i only disagree with one thing you said. when im prospecting and just looking for a place to set up camp i pan fast. i figure if i can find gold while panning fast ( YES I WILL lose some ) i will definitely it when i set the sluice up.

    I live in northern Idaho too. In lewiston rn don't know where I would even go to find anything

      Hello Noah. There’s a place called the fossil bowl near St. Maries and then there’s several garnet spots we can dig garnets. There’s also lots of gold and silver areas in North Idaho off the 90 and other areas

      @@krgfishing5089 Gibbs Eddy, by the arrow bridge outside of Lewiston. You’ll find some fine placer gold. Pretty much guaranteed to find some flakes.

    Never heard of silver in Placer form

      It is very fine, there was an area in California I believe Menifee, where people could Placer mine large silver nuggets

    How do you know where to go in Idaho? Can you just pan in any stream or river?

      First of all identify who manages the land, is it the Bureau of land management is it the state is it a national park or national forest you go to that site, and then look at the rules and regulations. Generally speaking gold panning is low impact recreational activity and should be allowed in most areas except food reserves wilderness read reserves national parks might also be restricted you just have to check.

    Silver does not exist in Placer form in idaho....

      This area is loaded with silver in the back sand

      We produce over 40% of the nations Silver, but Idaho definitely has no Placer deposits.
