This is the first machine I've had in well over 20 years and since I'm relearning sewing after all this time, I have to say that it's wonderful tool. The Singer Simple 3337 was the most affordable sewing machine to me, but not only does it have the essential stitches available, the top loading bobbin is a far cry from the side mount I used to have, which gave me numerous problems. Top mount bobbins are so easy; they drop right in and you can see immediately if a thread nest is developing, or if your bobbin is running out of thread. Price and ease of use are ideal. Thank you!
So, I am as beginner as they come. I'm just starting to learn this machine and I'm excited. Thank you so much for these education videos! I'm so greatful ❤😊
There’s a little hook that should go through the needle hole then you would put your thread on the needle and it should go through although if it’s slightly bent it wouldn’t go though the hole but it can be bent back a little
Can someone PLEASE explain the last part? The whole video is really helpful until the end when she gets to threading the needle. I have no idea what she means when she says to pull it “through and to the back” the back of what?? I keep rewatching the video but I don’t know what she is doing and how the heck she gets a threaded needle. Please help!

I’m having a difficult time w this machine lol. I’m following step by step but for some odd reason, I cannot create a loop in the needle??! Is there a way, I can thread my needle w out using that method?.
Hi! The needle threader does take a bit of practice, so don't give up trying it out. To answer your question, yes, you can manually thread the needle. Thank you! -TB
Hello Mary! No, not at all, please feel free to thread the needle manually. I will strongly suggest to continue trying to master the needle thread because it is a great feature of this machine! Thank you! -MM
@@SingerSewingCompany looking at the video again, i think the reason it's hard is that my machine is really old. it's really tough to hold down the lever and it doesnt always grab onto the thread. thank you for the reply!
when the spool is on the pin and you put the cap on, is it supposed to be tight against the spool so that the spool does not spin? not sure why, but when the spool spins, it messes up the tension, also, if the spool is tight in place and not allowed to spin, sometimes the thread tugs as if it can't unravel and then it starts bunching while stitching. the only way i avoid any of this is using a large thread cone away from the machine on its own stand.
My machine makes a loud thumping noise I sew through about 4 thicknesses of fabric making the channel for elastic ear pieces for a face mask. Is this causing any damage. Or do I need a heaver gauge needle?
Singer Sewing Company I will try the Microtex needle I put a new needle in and it didn’t help. I just finished the channel by hand. Thank you for your help.
why does my bobbin from my machine looking different from the store bobbins ? of class 15 transparent they are singer brand. exactly the same type you showed on this video. but the bobbins are different.

Hi! The take up lever is built into the machine. If you look at the threading illustrations that are on the machine, #5 is bringing your thread over your take up lever. Turning your hand wheel toward you, you will see it go up and down as you keep turning your hand wheel. Thanks! -TB
I am so sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this! I'd be happy to provide any insight that I can. Here's a tip for correcting your bottom/bobbin thread: Thread looping on the underside of the fabric is always an indication that the upper thread is not correctly threaded. This happens when the upper thread is not correctly placed in the tension mechanism and has not been threaded through the take-up lever. To resolve this, rethread the machine, making sure to first raise the presser foot lifter and raise the needle to its highest position, so that the thread can be properly seated in the tension mechanism and take up lever. Let us know if this works! ❤️ -AR
You arent utilizing the self threader properly. When you push the lever down it will grab the thread if you hold it over there. You’re pushing it down then taking the thread over to it. That’s much harder. Good videos though

Hi Amy! You only need to secure with a knot if you wish. Quilters for instance, usually prefer not to knot. If you will be moving and manipulating the fabric a lot, like when making a garment, having a knot to prevent unravel is helpful. It really is up to you and what you are sewing. Thank you! -TB
