The Lionfish has quickly become one the most destructive invasive species to marine life on the East coast of the United States and if that’s not enough they also have an extremely painful venom they often violently spike into unsuspecting divers and fisherman. Yikes!
So how painful is the Lionfish sting and what happens if you are unfortunately stung yourself? Well Coyote Peterson is once again putting himself in the “sting zone” to find out and educate people about this beautiful yet venomous little fish.

he’s risking his life for science and to educate us

personally, no hate but he is very brave and is not doing this for views
as he’s explained many times. He does this to warn people to admire some animals and sometimes, not to handle them.

7dog123 see if was going to say, I believed every video of his I watched up until this one...which is to awful many to say the least. mostly all of the insect bite/sting videos and a few of the videos after...a lion fish sting is not this casual by any means, most all of my family is from coastal Florida and I've heard quite a bit about this fish, as well as the threat it poses. nice pets though, if you can afford them. Haha

I got stung by a 3lb lionfish 3 days ago, four spikes penetrated my right forearms as deep as four inches, one of the spikes broke into my forearm, had to have exploratory surgery done to remove it, my arm swelled to almost 2.5 times it's original size up to my shoulder, the pain took 12 hours to reach peak amount of pain and start subsiding, had shortness of breath for the first 6 hours and now after 3 days I am still recovering.
