You seem to have been doing a great job in learning Korean! As a Korean, I can not imagine how hard studying Korean would be! If you need a native speaker to communicate in Korean through Kakao Talk or others, just let me know. I will be more than pleased to help you 😃
Could you possibly make a beginner version? Im an a new subscriber and im already useing some of thease tips because of this video, and it would be awsome if you made one geared t words beginners. Thank you for reading this
definitely! i'm busy with school these days so i haven't been making videos, but ill try my best to make one soon! im so glad youre using some tips haha. in the video, should i discuss things like the best resources for beginners?
My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential
I have never studied a symbolic language like kr, cn, jp, why you choose Korean over Japanese or Chinese? And what other languages you knew when started with Korean?
first of all thank you for commenting! so actually korean isn't a "symbolic" language like Chinese or Japanese. korean uses its own alphabet which is super scientific and easy to learn! if youre interested in learning it, you can be reading within 2 hours very easily! I chose to study korean because it seems the easiest out of those three languages (especially the easiest to study alone). i also became more interested in korean pop culture than the others which is a big motivator. Now I also study Japanese (casually) and Chinese (mandarin as my minor in college) and I think there's a lot of benefit to studying all three due to loan words and other similarities (to me, japanese is the hardest)! as for other languages i knew when i started learnin korean, my first language is english and i had spent some time learning french, german, and russian (nothing asian).
hii~~ I'm planning to buy the beginner version of your vocabulary book but I also want to get the intermediate one in the future, could you do a review on it or tell me if you recommend it? thank you in advance🌿🌿
hmmm i have kind of decided that my preferred method for grammar and vocab is a more integrated book- with that vocab book, i think it’s way more difficult memorizing random vocabulary out of context. i would look into a textbook that includes everything, I’ve used the ewha textbooks and i think something like that would be preferable (although it’s best to find a book that includes english explanations!!). if you want, you can check out the other videos on my channel- i think the “how to start self studying korea” video mentions some more book options!
