Hey i have a question how much did it cost overall ?
How did you get a single room?
hi! does every unit have a S, M, M-L and L room? or are the room sizes all the same in one unit
Great video! Loved how you showed the facilities as well. I’m planning to study abroad during the fall and am hoping to be able to secure a single at SK global ! Crossing fingers tho~ I’m not sure if you would know this but since the application is first come first serve, are you limited to just your first choice? I understand that single rooms are extremely limited, so if I did not get a single room, will Yonsei give me a double room or will they not offer me another option?
inoming exchange student here hovering between Walter Gage and Fairview. Heard that social life at Fairview is better, but Gage is central and has incredible views. Any advice?
Did you end up picking? I'm also an incoming student in Jan2025 and wondering the exact same :)
hi. how old are you and are you stuying in bachelor or master ?
I really want to apply the language school of Hongik. But I just couldn’t find the link.😢
Hello are residents allowed to have guests?
nope
What is the price of solo room of the dorm?
Hi 🙋🏻♀️😊 This school intrigues me a lot. I'm studying Korean on my own but I realize it's really difficult. Luckily I learned the Korean alphabet and for the moment I only know a few words... I would like to study there in Korea but I'm very held back because I don't speak English fluently 😢
You can do it! A lot of Korean language students in Korea don't speak fluent English either.
Hey! The gym and the laundry is free ?
gym is free, laundry you have to pay
I did a three week program at Lexis a year ago too. It was around Halloween. I liked the school. My Korean level is pre intermediate too which is an awkward place to be because you still sound like a beginner but at least for me I’ve already studied all the beginner grammar and vocabulary quite a bit. But you can’t necessarily tell that when talking to me 😂. Maybe it’s better than a year ago. I think they put me in the low beginner class and after I complained they moved to the upper beginner class. I think the jump from high beginner to low intermediate is really big. If they had bumped me up another class my poor ability to output would have slowed the class down most likely. So I didn’t ask to get bumped up again even though I knew all the grammar. I only knew about half the vocab in the book we studied but in my defense the words I didn’t know seemed pretty advanced unless I wanted to work as a nurse maybe. Do you recommend the online classes?
hey I think the online classes were pretty good, but it's hard to compare that experience to the IRL classes tbh. still useful tho! I think I was in pre-intermediate at lexis too (or one higher??) and it was a bit awkward, I had to move levels and it was still an awkward fit after self-studying, since I already knew the content but wasn't good at speaking,, I get what you mean, I have been struggling w the difference between intermediate to advanced, the only thing that's helped me at this point is reading novels but it's still so tough...
@@yyaksok5039 I’m reading novels too. I’ve tried several. Most are professional translations into Korean but currently I am reading a DeepL translation of Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians. It’s not bad at all. It’s easier to understand than real Korean novels and I’m increasing my vocab. Obviously I’ll have to make the jump to real Korean novels later. If I lived in Korea and could just walk into the older kids section of a bookstore to browse that would be perfect.
Beautiful 🤩 I am watching your video from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 stay connected friend I’m your new subscriber 😊❤🎉
Hey, do you think I can apply to dorms even if I stay only 3 months ?
you’d have to ask through whatever program you’re attending classes i guess
Hi!! Im planning on doing my masters at ubc but the drug problem is making me second guess the campus’s safety. Did you encounter and such issue
hi! not at all. UBC feels very very safe. downtown vancouver is a bit scary at night so i always go with a friend and avoid the rough areas. but UBC is quite far from downtown:)
@@yyaksok5039 thank you!! Thats sounds great. Hopefully I’ll get into a program next year.
My dream university 😭💗😘
Is it okay to stay there after graduating from university or should you buy yourself a house?
you can only stay in the dorms while you’re a student, you can rent an apartment after. it’s not very common to buy a house in seoul
@@yyaksok5039 I understand, thanks
I am extremely afraid of not making friends. I'm also scared of being the youngest because I am only 19 and I'm afraid people will be older and not want to be my friend
19 is actually not young at all for the program
may i have the airbnb link you booked?thx!
it was this one! www.airbnb.ie/users/show/459301030
@@yyaksok5039thx sooo much!
Hey!! Is it single gendered, so all girl roommates?
yes, I believe so
Hi! Since you did multiple levels, I was wondering if you know if you can stay in the dorm during the time between semesters (the 2-3 week vacation time) if you pay extra?
hello! I only did one level/semester so im not sure, sorry!!
@@yyaksok5039 Oh okay. Sorry. I thought you did more than one level. No worries.
Hello dear! I wanna ask u abt “free time” I know after the lessons we will have some activities, but Will there be an opportunity to buy something during a walk or go somewhere?will it be in the format of an excursion or a simple walk around the city?will we study in groups and walk around Seoul in the same groups?will I be able to arrange a walk together with someone, and will my family be able to let me go?Maybe it's a lot of questions, but I'm very nervous about the trip..
sorry I'm not sure!! I don't think I participated in many activities, I recommend talking to the centre about it
Hi I hear that fairview got many silver fish and mouse, is it true 😢
a little true but not a huge problem
Thank you for your channel
How much money did you need to study there? (Tuition, admission, living expenses, dorm fees etc.)
do you have to pay something for the gym ?
it's free!
Hmm what happened gave up RUclips?
too busy..

Never put or use a laptop on the bed. It's a fire hazard!
oops
Hi!! thanks for this video. It helped a lot. Well, there's a system on Yonsein's page that seems like the first comer will get the room ( first come first serve). Did you have a hard time finding it too? I'm a little worried I'm going to come to Korea in September and I'm afraid that I won't be able to find a dormitory :( I would be very happy if you inform me about this...
Were you able to find a dorm? I'm planning on going next fall too.
hey sorry i didn’t see your comment for so long, i hope everything worked out for you. yes, the program is really stressful because its first come first serve. i had a few different devices open and kept refreshing on the sign up day! so its all kind of by chance/luck. my friend who was faster couldn’t even get a spot, but they ended up finding a great share house that i was so jealous of lol!
@@yyaksok5039 thank you🫶🏻
Ahh would you mind sharing the info of the sharehouse? I hope to study in Yonsei this year
I'm hesitating to go whether in Yonsei or Ewha but you really make me want to go there thank you for this detail video I really was looking for this kind of video thank you so much☺
Hey did you get admission in yonsei?
@@Trisha_ktariya no I was waiting for next year to go at yonsei maybe
@@Laivyhhave you decided yet? Because I just came back from my semester abroad at ewha and I can really recommend it! It was so nice to just be surrounded by women, especially during group discussion in the courses. And I think the nice thing about ewha is, that the campus isn’t as big as yonseis so almost every building is in walking distance, which is especially nice during the heat of the summer haha
Did u get admission?
Thank you so much for the video😭💜💜. A strange question, but are there any activities, sports and things like that in the university?
hello! yes, there are lots of clubs and things open to students. some clubs aren't open to accepting exchange students though. I'm not sure about sports specifically, but I guess there are probably sports clubs!
@@yyaksok5039 thank youu sm💘🫶
Heey.. Can you please check your Insta DM-!
Hii I love ur video ! I want to know how much u paid for one semester : )
thank you! how much for tuition or for the dorm?
