Hi Yyaksok, probably you won't see this but I wanted to reach out and ask how your time at Yonsei University was. I am thinking about studying abroad at Yonsei University and was wondering how your experience was? As someone coming from the US is it easy to make friends in Korea, how are the classes, the environment etc. Is it good to know some Korean before you go? Thank You
hello!! my overall experience was pretty good but you have to put in effort to have a good experience i think. it wasn’t too hard to make friends, classes were generally easier than what i was used to (less homework but harder grading), the environment was okay (the location of yonsei is probably one of the only reasons to choose it over other schools- my friends at KU seemed to have a great experience there as well). it’s good to know some Korean and it can help you out but it’s not necessary as long as you find a friend with some Korean skills:)
I also know of some people who contacted airbnb hosts to see if they would give them a longer-term rental price instead of just paying the nightly rate
I’m going to study abroad in Seoul for this upcoming summer semester. This makes me even more excited for my trip
i’m so glad! you’ll have a bunch of fun, the summer program seems great
Hey me too 😂
Love “a day in the life of a college student in beautiful and clean Korea “!
You’re the best travel guide!🎉

What is the price of solo room of the dorm?
what’s the process of getting an airbnb over there like? any suggestions on websites/apps to look into?
I would recommend checking out the exchange discord server, I saw a lot of people recommending specific share houses on there! discord.gg/3zjmRp6D

How much Korean do you think someone should know to study abroad in Seoul?
you don’t really NEED to know any but the basics will go a long way!
