- Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah performed by Michigan State's Accafellas in Shaw Hall.
I am not a member of the Accafellas, I don't know any of them, and I am in no way related to anything they do. They were touring Michigan State's campus and I happened to be in Shaw Hall recording it.

probably one of the best renditions i have ever heard. i have won numerous vocal scholarships, and yet i wish i possessed half of the lead singer's (and that of the backups for that matter) ability and finesse. a true artist.
I've searched and heard them all and this is still the version I come back to time and again...amazing is all I can say--simply amazing!
I love this version of an acapella cover of Hallelujah. First of all is because your verse choices were amazing, each singer was amazing, the guy beatboxing was stupendous, etc, etc. There are so many reasons why this appeals to many people. The way they sang it too is catchy yet solemn at the same time and their spin on it was just great.
It's natural, fun, spontanious and well organized. Over all, perfect.
15 years as of this writing and still come back to this now and again. Classic!

Dorm room acoustics hard to duplicate which makes this performance most unique. I just went onto their Myspace account and found an amazing version of "you and I both" really spectacular.

This is the best accapella version I've seen so far.
This song was played at our 16 yr old daughter's memorial. She would have LOVED to hear you guys sing it. It's a difficult song, and you do an AWESOME job! This made my day.

@preslavm We actually go to dorms and sing a lot to promote our concerts! We go down the hallways knocking on all the girls doors and tell them about the show, then tell them we're about to sing. We actually sang in this dorm last night, Shaw Hall @ MSU.

There's a girls group called Ladies First, as well as a co-ed group called Capital Green and another co-ed group called State of Fifths.
There are a few specialized co-ed groups as well, including a co-ed Indian a cappella group called Spartan Sur, and a co-ed a cappella group for members of the Residential College of Arts and Humanities called RCAHppella.
