giggi4455 No, it's not like you might think. Corey asked permission. Moosebutter was okay with the video (they even helped Corey learn the parts so he could lip-sync them). Corey *did* have some legal troubles after the video came out initially (mostly with Moosebutter's record label), but that was sorted out over the course of a few months after the video went live. The whole thing is explained across several different videos on both the ApprenticeA (main) and ApprenticeEh (vlog) channels. Basically, this is all old news. PS: Yes, he *did* give credit. Several times.

And that's reinforced by Corey constantly saying stuff like "I didn't make this music; Moosebutter did. This is just me being a Star Wars fan." Now, is it bad to take credit for someone else's work? Yes. But if the original creator gives permission to do a video like this and it goes viral like this one did, there *will* be people who seek out the original creator's work. That means more exposure and more sales. RUclips may have paid Corey for advertising on the video, but in no way is that any less money for Moosebutter. Don't think about it like "stealing business." Think about it like "free advertising." Fan enthusiasm is probably the *best* form of viral marketing out there.
