- Collaboration with Myra from Farm Fresh Designs59! Myra and I are collaborating on a common theme for our videos - decorating with blue and white! We are creating decor pieces with creamy ivory and white in combination with cool blue for a fabulous relaxing vibe in your home! Follow these easy steps to create fabulous decor that is inexpensive and classic, inspiring and inventive. I've used thrifted items and given them a dramatic makeover using chalk style paint, IOD stamps, and decoupage. I'll share a few tips with you on how to elevate your creative style by using contrasting trim colors and antiquing gel to give your pieces definition and detail. Very pretty,love it! Gave my huge collection of blue and white china to my mum when i got divorced as i went from a big house to a minuscule one and couldnt keep it..(housework and dusting a lot better though 😂) i think the jug is my favourite ❤️

Love the pitcher. Did you put the top coat on the pitcher before you used the stamp or after?
I did the top coat after the stamps on that one. I was afraid the stamp might slide if the top coat went first. Thank you for asking! ❣️
I wonder if spraying on a "shellac sealer", onto the print, and allowing it to fully dry, before applying decoupage medium, would help??
That’s a good idea. I have been thinking of what I might do in future projects for that. Thank you for the suggestion! ❣️
I'm not so sure about cutting the napkin or any item that I will be decoupaging. I think the defined edges from cutting with the scissors sticks out too much & is too noticable. I tend to use the wet tear method using my water pen or even a small artist brush with a little water on it to map out what part I want to use & then I tear it along that edge for a much more natural look & it makes the decoupaged piece blend into the piece much more without those defined edges. I love the classic blue & white though. Always a favorite of mine 😍
