the machine niko use to work in the mine originally was used to "peel" the skin of a victim... this machine is one of the inventions Sister Cassia build while "malversing" the emperor funds; a machine made to peel fruits, but the templars used as a torture machine
Damn I hate how low the views are.. this is an excellent series. I was looking for something to put into perspective all the shit I just rush by when leveling my chars but all I could find was basic lore from a-z. This is exactly what people who are mildly interested in lore want to see but it is buried in the algorithm.
I'm still new to all this (~6-7 months) and work a full time job, the fact that anyone checks out my videos is still a big win for me 😂 I appreciate the huge compliment and the algo appreciates the comment 🍻
Thank you so much for yet another great episode! Petarus and Vanja were my highlights of this act (*stares respectfully*), with Daresso's performance coming close second. Izaro's VA is an all-time favorite of mine, and his backstory for the labyrinth is one of the rare bits I actually listened to even ingame during early playthroughs. Lastly, I find it quite interesting that Malachai and Piety at times share a very similar intonation / way of speaking - maybe that's just me hearing things though. Thanks again, looking forward to the next episode(s)!
29:17 so here the guide "plucked the life of the warrior of the first ones jaws" so mean he actually saved him from dying and going to the "first ones" who are the ancester waiting for him in the afterlife for the Azmeri ( the ancester are the same ones einhar offer the beast sacrifice too) in the next poem the warrior save the guide of a beast in return
@@GavrynGaming yeah because is was a poem. the asmeri love poetry as grigor and einhar as showed us. is kinda sad that in the end the asmeri warrior was poisoned by the eternal guide and died just in the door of the last trial
I'm playing the Gauntlet event (turns PoE into a soul like game), and this video has been keeping me sane lol. I've been dying too many times I finished your video and I'm only level 5 on my 12th run
About to watch this one, keep them coming! I may have missed it but one thing that's not clear to me is why Dominus was in Wraeclast, surely he should have been safe on a throne in Oriath?
My understanding was that he was there along with the Ebony Legion and Blackguards to study and acquire more knowledge on Thaumaturgy. Piety, Gravicius, all of them were under the orders of Dominus right?
I don’t read much but I love the writing in this game and am so looking forward to the next episodes (and PoE2 story/performances). Do you know if it’s the same writer(s)?
Hmm I got to say while I really enjoy the lore I do hope that there is a bit more of a focus on the present day in PoE2. I have noticed that nearly all of the dialogue in PoE1 is essentially exposition and the notable figures that you do encounter are mostly just remnants of the past in some way. The trailers for PoE2 do look promising in this regard, NPC's seem to be more actively doing things. There is that thing where you can call NPC's to missions objectives instead of having to go to town all the time and they seem to actually interact with the environment. There is also that scary lady in "Trailer 3" from about a year ago who seems to be setting up a present day conflict of sorts.
They're 100% fixing the issue of disjointedness you're describing, I recently found this article which got me even more stoked for the narrative in PoE2: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3091715
Very cool videos, and I appreciate them so much for revisiting the story when I would typically lose patience and want to get on with exploring. One criticism, it seems unnatural and jarring referring to every character as they/them.
First! Based on past vids I just know it's going to be a banger.

SAVING THIS FOR LATER. Almost done with the Act 3 one....
Thanks Tri! 🍻

Exactly this!
I'm surprised how this series has just 100s and not 10'000s of views. The quality is so good and especially with your voice.
As a small fry RUclipsr, I'm just happy folks are watching and enjoying thanks so much for the kind words 🍻

The VA for Daresso was honestly spectacular, I couldn't even dream of rolling my R's that well 😂
Day off and a big glass of ice water to drink and I get to hear your Path Of Exile lore videos

@@gexianhen Thank you for the clarification, the way in which it was written confused the heck out of me!

Nice that you managed to fit lab into this video as well!
So Petarus, do you feel dominated by your girlfriend?
Vanja: No he doesn't
Lmao some dudes are into that 🤣

Madlad! The gauntlet is too much for my noob ass 😂
Lets gooo!
No love for me, no love for me, no love for me...
The emotion in Dialla's voice acting is great!

who knew the PoE lore is actually interesting? I wish they made it in a form of video
Really hope they include some cinematics in PoE2!

Appreciate you checking each one out 🍻
It's a different narrative direction in PoE2!

Poor Dialla... I always feel bad for her. 😔
Such a tragic love story :(

I would personally prefer less 3rd wall breaks but that's just personal preference probably.
