Loved this video. Just finished watching it all the way through. At the end you were asking if you should be making more of these types of videos, so I wanted to put my two cents in. Personally, I would really enjoy watching you play a character off-stream every league. I'm really liking the relaxed and laid-back style. Great decision to do this completely off-stream. Much easier to follow along and you seem to enjoy it this way more as well. A hardcore, SSF character run every league sounds like a fun recurring series in my opinion. I have been regularly watching both your videos and streams for 4 years now. Thank you for what you do! smile
You could do a masters degree in poe and still not know everything. I consider myself a newbie with roughly 500 hours. I still don't know what I'm doing most of the tone
Ive done every single encounter in the game over the years, uber or otherwise, yet I still watched this video just to see "fresh" what you are doing after youre done with the campaign and to see if there are things I could improve on myself, like more efficient things to get better currency and faster map progression/watchstone progression. Good video.
Hi Woolie, this is by far the best beginner friendly walk-through, I started poe about 1 week ago and I am barely scratching T6 maps, I will follow your build with Res, GG man, you the best keep up the good work🎉🎉🎉
Heya, this video and your playthrough video finally got me into PoE! following build guides with not much knowledge of the game wasnt doing it for me but seeing how you build your char on a high level (life node pathing, resistances and life on gear, just supporting one skill gem as damage) was easy and intuitive to follow myself through the entire campaign. Great job!!
This was amazing, loved having it on in the background and comparing what your ssf journey was to mine. I definitely got some good tips and would watch another video if you did it again!
I’ve been playing since launch, only skipping a few leagues and there is always something to learn and seeing someone else’s path is a great way to steal a few options to make your gameplay better in the future.
Returning to PoE to get back in the swing of things before PoE2 early access and this video was a great watch. I've always leant on playing trade league as I can never identify worth in my own drops, so I've never tried SSF before, but this convinced me it's not too scary. I'm also awful for forgetting to benchcraft my gear for (essentially free) res fixes, but now it's right in the front of my mind again so thankyou! ... Also, that essence-spamming Tiny Trial only to come out with a vendor-fresh Agate Amulet made me nearly choke on a mcnugget, so :')
This was probably the best tutorial video ive watched as a newer player. Its really hard to understand everything in those compacted 10-30 minute video.
I have only played this game for like 30 minutes before like 6 years ago. But I see Woolie content, and I click. Even if this all goes over my head, its will be something to have on while I do some editing.
3:09:04 Wildwoods do buff loot by a TON but only if you know the best way to get the most juice. Still don't touch them unless your character is relatively strong.
Really reassuring to know I'm not the only person who makes a bunch of sidegrades and then questions why he even did any of that crafting in the first place lmao
51:28 Nothing like spending a whole day perfecting those upgrade pieces, slotting them in, and being basically right back where you started! Not like that has happened to me once or thrice before 😂
2:09:37 i started laughing so hard here So the game has so much loot that players gotta filter through it. Yet when it offers even higher quantity, without hesitation ya'll are like "oh yes please!!" Lmaooo Kidding aside even by this point ive learned so much itd become an essay to individually thank you for each bit of info. The game may be free but you spent real time recording this, and god knows how much time learning it. Thank you for sharing! :)
Perfect video for me. I have like 15 characters and all of them I left after completing white maps because they are all dying with maps 8+ :) I wish PoE had less complicated crafting mechanisms. There are just too many ways to craft and in the end, you have no idea even what currency to farm. LE did a very good job with crafting where it is very complex and you can do crazy things but is not complicated at the same time.
That's amazing content bro. 1k hr poe player here, still a noob, and this video helped me a lot. Started focusing more on SSF e oh boy the game is made to be played in SSF, just playing not loking at prices, not worrying about currencies to sell is so fun
Question does anyone know what the colors and borders mean on the ps4 loot filter? I just want to understand what they are so it can click with me faster
Its too much. After 45min i was completely lost. PoE is a very complex game. I think I will start playing PoE 2 in EA. There should be less stuff in endgame and therefore easier for new players to get into it. 1:40:52 even a tower defense game is build into it? How many hours do I need to catch up for all the mechanics in this game?!
I've heard you talk about this game so many times but never actually looked into it at all. Definitely see the diablo comparisons though, very similar imo (which isn't meant as a bad thing, diablo is pretty fun). This might entice me to try it at some point honestly, although idk if I could get super into the endgame grind. I have my one go-to "chill grinding" game which is warframe, and I dunno if I'll ever dedicate to a game as hard as i have with that but who knows.
do you have any advice for being able to eyeball the value of items? i sometimes use the poe trade extension but i feel like i’m not getting a proper feel for it
it's really just: - life & resistances (+ maybe spell suppress) for armor / jewelry (+1 gems on amulet good too) - dmg & speed on weapons (hybrid + flat phys ideal) and you're looking for t3-ish rolls on each. anything less HEAVILY degrades the overall value of the item. sadly, 99.9% of loot you ID is gonna go straight to the vendor - that's where the trade macro comes in handy. if an item looks to have quite a few of the above-mentioned stats, slap the item into your crafting bench to see what's missing (like %phys on weapon or -mana cost on ring/amu) and then pop the macro on it to get an idea of its worth
You dont really need the map stash for 150 points first, i played for like 4k hours without a map stashtab. Its too much points at the begining. I highly recommend : currency, fragments, essence, and then map , divination etc.
You probably made a vid covering this, but IDK which 1 it is so...😅 But I was wanting to ask you, how does the tier system for gear modifiers work? Is it tier 1 is the highest/ best or is it the other way round?
I saw your comment on the IanKyo channel, and I absolutely think you're right. I don't get why you got flamed so much, by just wanting to help, and give a word of advice, love you ❤
bro he was absolutely not right. As Ian said, it's not all about 'just eat less'. People should just be able to eat anything they like without being shamed. He also stated that he doesn't even eat most of the food he makes and sometimes he just makes it for his wife. I don't mean to be rude or anything, just to shed some light on the topic
how does anyone memorize all this meta infromation for the endgame systems, that's insane. I played this game for years (stopped playing a few years ago) and still feel like I barely understand the crafting strategy and target farming for certain items and currency in this game lol. Anyway this guide is very helpful, i wonder how many of these current systems will remain for path of exile 2.
3:28:11 He's gonna tell us to go to the red bubble. Surely he's gonna tell us to go to the red bubble. Why isn't he going to the red bubble? Can he actually tank that??? ... Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo 🤣🤣🤣
just faster - I def scour+alch early on but use chaos once I have enough to not care about using 1 or 2 (you'll likely get em back just by running the map)
I've noticed there's a pretty strong correlation between people who play PoE, also tend to play DotA 2, and people who play Diablo IV, or Last Epoch - who instead also play League of Legends. 🤔🤔🤔
I am so excited for POE2. I also started a playthrough of POE. Glad to see you enjoyed the game!

Ahhh PoE the only game that you could take an entire college course on and still not know every mechanic
Cam confirm, in college rn and some poe mechanics make less sense to me than calc 3

It will come with time, the best advice I can tell you is play a lot of different builds and know the top3 top 5 meta builds of the league.
it's really just:
- life & resistances (+ maybe spell suppress) for armor / jewelry (+1 gems on amulet good too)
- dmg & speed on weapons (hybrid + flat phys ideal)

Hi Woolie I just started playing and would love to try this build. Do you have a buildplanner for it?

Hey. Around 54min when talking about alching your maps, can also use binding on them if low on alchs for same effect.
You dont really need the map stash for 150 points first, i played for like 4k hours without a map stashtab. Its too much points at the begining. I highly recommend : currency, fragments, essence, and then map , divination etc.
Essence is far worse than map
@@stalehuman7585 essence is cheap, and you can atlas farm it early to get money.

yes, t1 is the highest. here is a site with all mods listed poedb.tw/us/Modifiers

master spellblade helm, eldritch monarch body, abyssal lich gloves & boots, breachspawn cloak, emberkeep weapon w/ breach weapon effect, divergence character effect
