You can put the jump drive set to jump on the ships hot bar, but unless you blind jump everywhere you will be in the control panel frequently. Oh and when you open the control panel go to the "info" tab and turn on show "gravity field range" then just set up ranges in the gravity's generator.
Trader Factions will only sell you data pads with locations to their allies. Not all factions are allied. So you have to explore to find different ones.
@@SurvivalBobGaming To add to what, kahvozeinsfang6953, said also check show on HUD in the gravity generator menu. The same thing applies to setting up sensor fields. You will see it in the info tab. Addendum: If want to get lazy and have the room to put a Event Controller on your ship, you can automate some functions like setting batteries to auto and turning off stock pile on tanks before taking off. The Event Controller has a cockpit occupied event. When you get in the EC will detect it and perform what ever functions you put in it. The reverse happens when you get out by setting stock pile and recharge plus what else you want it to do. I use it all the time, I've even added connector unlock. I jump in fly away. Coming back I just put the connectors together and jump out and it locks. Fully automatic.
If your going to continue being Pirate Bob attacking everybody then you need a new ship with much more storage and grinders on the front instead of drills.
If you lock target it will show you where to aim for center mass based on relative velocity. That way if there is drift throwing your shots off you can adjust easier.
I feel like its out of the scope of this series, but to add more life to the world you can add the modular encounter system and the associated mods. Might ve the best idea if you are going for more of a pirate playthrough, but the caviot is it adds 3 inhibitor blocks that could annoy you. One for drills, grinders, and players. The first 2 just make them unusable in the area effected and the last one deals damage to the player on a tick rate bases. The damage increases the closer you get to the inhibitor block if i remember correctly.
I did make a "Bob's (little) BattleBarge Mk1_3" though I may redesign from scratch its got lots of pew pews but limited by power. The hardest part about ships now vs when I started is getting conveyors to fit with the different cockpits... and rocket pods, Well the reloadable ones at least lol.
@@Controlled_Insanity_003 yeah, I tried to stack them, but didn’t realize they only have a port on one side. By the time I was done with my solar panel, I didn’t wanna look at it anymore.

You can buy datapads from the station with gps coordinates to other stations, you can take hauling missions which have other stations as destinations or you can fly around and hope to find them. The Moon, Titan and Europa are easy to find stations on because they are pretty small compared to planets. Its really weird that Bob only found the one on the moon. It might be bugged.
@@Luke-ow9kuI think you are correct. I know the game has issues with adding in stations if you do it after generating the "world". Which he restarted when the contact update launched. So I'm pretty sure that's the issue he's having
so help me understand what I did wrong? I started a new world from scratch, loaded in, dropped with the pod, then just pasted in my ship and base with admin tools saved/quit, added mods and then loaded back in and stated playing. what part do you think that affected the stations spawning? is there a different way I could have done it?
@@SurvivalBobGaming You probably didn't do anything wrong. I played on a server a while ago that didn't have economy activated in the settings when it was initially launched. It was added afterwards, but we had an issue with stations just not spawning in. However, just based on how your intro was to episode 12 that wasn't the case for you. your station spawns have just been unlucky.
Hi, is there any way you can stop shaking your character's head around? It's like you're trying to point at something with your head, which I don't understand, but it can make me a bit sick to watch. 😅
I'll try...yeah, I need these reminders when it gets bad. I get excited and try to point with my mouse which is jerking my head around. It's a problem I've had for years unfortunately.
Splitsie did some testing a while back..takes about 3-4 oxygen farms per engineer he discovered... Hope that helps.

that was so funny watching those data pads go flying by lol yes it did have a jack o lantern face on it you blew up mines at back ship
Keep 'em coming Bob

I think I played with those some on a server a while back. If I don't add them later, I will on another series.

i love your videos.
Thanks! 🙏
I think being connected to the station will use the station power the help recharge the jump drive.
@@grandgab I’ll have to give that a try. Good idea!
Doesn't work with NPC stations. Their connectors have trading mode enabled, which prevents energy and items from passing through the connector.
4 is probably enough for just you, but for aesthetic reasons, you need more oxygen farms

@@SurvivalBobGamingReally? I could've sworn they had 2 ports...
you mentioned wanting that station you can achieve this by hooking up 10 jump drives to it shutting the shield down due to a power overload
How would you put the jump drives on? You can’t use any tools inside the shield.

damnit! I forgot about that! I did it with my very first one, but then just started chucking them out the window.
@SurvivalBobGaming I'm right, Good, it's been a while since I've played
There's a mod called Perpetually Perturbed Pirates that keeps them hostile to you no matter what.
I’ve heard of that one but never tried it.
@@SurvivalBobGaming Now that you are neutral with the pirates, you should be able to take contracts from that pirate station you found on the moon.
