Even an inexperienced player can do a lot of damage if they get inside an enemy ship with their grinder, and if you just get shot out the sky over and over again because you don't know what you are doing, it's no big deal because boarding pods are dirt cheap. Your alliance does not need to commit much extra resources to bring you along as a marine, but it will teach you a lot very quickly about how PvP ships are built and how they fight when it is your job get in really close to take them apart.

Good reminder for anyone is that Port is red wine, and Port has 4 letters and so does the word ‘left’. Got told that once and never forgot it
