Very helpful. I've had my Litter Robot 3 for a couple of years. It started acting like the litter pan underneath was full every time it'd cycle and the blue light would flash. I followed your steps, took it apart, cleaned it, filled it with new litter and once it cycled, the flashing blue light went to steady blue. Thanks! :)
This was a huge lifesaver! I was SO disappointed because the LR3 came fully assembled and it was barely too small to fit into my closet where we had our previous regular box set up. I thought I had no other option than to return, but decided to research instead. SO SO glad I found this video
I noticed that after you emptied, there was still some litter that came back on the white one. I have the same model as you and I notice everytime I empty there is a huge gap in the guard that traps a ton of litter so I cant properly empty it. I've just sealed it with duct tape but do you have any suggestions on how to fix it?
I do not - but you could reach out to their customer support and ask? there is also a litter robot support facebook group for LR owners. facebook.com/groups/500310760811157

You really know these products so very well now and are the GOTO LR Expert for all of us Floppycatters! Very well done! And it doesn't hurt to have your Inspection Team at the ready outside to inspect all the pieces properly... ;)
thanks, patti - i answer 5-10 emails a day about litter-robot because of comments people leave on my videos. so i email a lot with litter-robot customer service, and have learned a great deal. and because of the comments i receive on my videos, i figure out future videos that i can do that might be helpful to someone considering buying one or someone who has one and needs to take it apart.

Love working for auto pets In juno WI. I've worked here for years and still haven't purchased a litter robot yet. I do all the Repairs when they get sent back. Love your videos by the way.
Cleaning wise is perfect try using simple green works great for cleaning . Any wiring issues u have I can definitely give you a hand with. From the board to Dfi or harness wiring. You should also clean the inside where the board is there are five screws you take out. Simply pull it off and free all the litter that is by the motor 😀
I have one for my 3 cats & I find at least every 6- 8 weeks it needs a good clean. This is the best litter tray ever!! I wonder how I managed without one for so many years.
Hello! When I saw this video, I was actually looking for disassembly of the globe - the black rubber piece is not in the groves and I want to put it in. I have unscrewed the screws, but in front of the globe there are some plastic pieces holding both sphere parts together and I am afraid to brake those if try to pry it incorrectly. Please help!!
Okay. New to you ladies. Do you have this because you review? Or do actually use several different boxes? I had an automatic one years ago and found it more trouble than it was worth! My home is small and the noise in the night would awaken me. Cleaning it was a chore. There were no advantages that I could see. Comments? Lol
I'm just one lady. Yes, I do reviews and have had the white one for 4.5 years and the grey one for 1.5 years - and have A LOT of videos about them on RUclips. So yes, reviewed it, but it has remained a part of our daily lives. You can set the LR so that it doesn't cycle at night time - that's easy to set up on the the app - so that's easy on the WiFi one, but you can also get the non-WiFi one and set it not to run certain times of day, I believe. I don't think cleaning it is too bad - it's about every 6 months for us. But yes, it's a process - but everyone's opinion of a "chore" is different. What are you looking for in a litterbox? Maybe I can help you out there. Oops! Sorry! Still trying to figure out household! Lol THANKS so much for your quick responses! I’m fine with a plain litter box. I’m using an igloo type right now. Clean it every day and change litter as needed...usually once or twice a week. Am ordering some of the litter you recommended. Thank you so much! Oh! What is your name? ❤️🐾❤️
Yikes! At that price it can’t be right for me! I’m reworking my backyard into an edible landscape. For $500 I can buy 6-7 fruit trees or start my asparagus bed or... adopt more kitties! Lolol
@@robinholbrook6576 yes, it is definitely not for everyone! many claim they save that much on litter after a year of using it. if you don't mind scooping your cat's "stuff", then it's not necessary.
@@Floppycats it’s not to clean it, the thing has been broken forever; & my husband won’t let me throw it out. He is convinced we can use it like a normal liter box. 🫠
I need to figure out if I can take the actual bonnet/round globe piece apart in two pieces to fit it into the room where we want it to go...anyone done this??
It is possible...but I am confused - how big is the opening to the room? How big is the room? can you just take the globe off the base and then reassemble? here's the Litter-Robot in pieces and how to reassemble - ruclips.net/video/KRM2q1utvb0/видео.html
Yes it's possible to separate the globe into to halves if necessary, but we wouldn't recommend it if you can avoid doing so. Please contact support@litter-robot.com for assistance with this. Thanks!
thank you! and LOVE your cats :)
you're welcome - thanks for watching...hope you'll subscribe =)
Awesome video. Was moving and was curious how to take it apart to clean and pack to save maybe some space. New favorite cat channel 😸

What about the black key on the back? I did not see that in the video. Does it just pop off with the globe?
You don't need to remove that. You can leave it on or use a screwdriver to remove it.
