Thanks for this well done video. My robot arrived with the weight having fallen out of the proper place for it resulting in waste sticking to the rubber liner because it wouldn't pop out during a cycle. Your video gave me the confidence to fix it without doing a return.
Thank you for this video! Helped A lot! My liner came with a new screw and nut installed in the liner to use... I didn't realize that until after I had it all together 😂 Had to take the liner off the front to remove it to use it 😅 The liner seemed to be too big when I was installing in along the rim. I found it helpful to have the front all installed, then kept essentially massaging the liner front to back along both sides until it all finally appeared to be well into the groove without bunching. I also found it helpful to start with screwing it back together starting from the very back and working forward. Initially I started up front... but the back end wound up popped out a bit... much easier to pop the front into place with the back held in properly than the back when when the front is held in place.
As others have stated, you are a life saver and much better video than Litter Robot's. I was hesitating on getting a new liner and now I am confident I can do this on my own. They should pay you a commission :)
I cannot stand the lip on the litter box!!! I cannot keep it threaded… once I get it the cats undo it by scratching it… do you have any ideas??? I tried glue but that didn’t work either!!! Help

To purchase or to see how to install? If purchase, we are Australia and New Zealand distributors, and the liners are available on our websites for those countries (catevolution.com.au and catevolution.co.nz). If you are elsewhere, visit whisker.com the USA manufacturer for your distributor.
A purrleasure! Note the fence can also be a good accessory to keep your globe liner in good order, if you have scratchers and heavy footed cats that pull of the lip area. Check it on the distributors website when you get your liner organised.
Hi! This is a very helpful video. I do have another question for you. My cat managed to messed up the shifter of his litter robot. It was slightly bender and not shifting well. Do you know how to fix or replace it? Thanks in advance
The sieving grate is part of the globe, inner sleeve. Unless it has broken free at the joint, it is designed to bend and flex under litter weight. If its not sifting well, it is more likely that the litter is not suitable, possibly too large and too light to sieve well, or if stony and sandy, it can dam up and also not sieve well. You need to contact the place of purchase to check warranty and also get more information. If you are in Australia, you can provide brand of litter and I maybe able to review for you for suitability.
You can take out the liner if you want to for a deeper globe cleaning, but its not usually needed. If you have issues with the front lip coming off, purchase the Fence accessory to stop this and you dont need to keep cleaning underside the liner. If you do decide to take out the liner for deep cleaning, only unscrew around the middle, not top to bottom so you dont lose the magnets in the globe.
If you are in Australia, please email sales@catevolution.com.au and I can update. Register to be notified as we are sold out but will be restocking asap, end of April anticipated. We can provide assistance for temp repair until we restock if you email.
URGENT! What is the purpose of the 2 foam strips? Should they be replaced? If so, you are not doing it and in the package there is only one short replacement foam strip and it is unclear what to do with it. Kindly explain. This is the second video I am watching and this question remains murky. I just noticed, however, that in the instructions provided it says that the 2 foam strips should be discarded, which you do not do in the video and that you should place the new single foam strip "in a similar fashion". Kindly explain where exactly this should go!
The foam strip is for replacing the exisiting one installed at manufacture left side. Replacement is in case it’s gotten dirty or damaged. Essentially it just helps add a little more packing out of the liner where it gets the most litter rolling over the joint. It’s not integral for cycle or operations. We have also done some testing with using substitute foam purchased from Bunnings and you can add additional similar foam around the full lower globe edge if preferred but it’s not necessary for function. Do note that we are the Australian distributors and this video is provided for assistance not definitive information. Design queries should be directed to the manufacturer Whisker.com if you need more clarity on the appliance. Trusting this assists.
@@Catevolution1 Many thanks for the prompt and comprehensive response as well as the excellent video. As there is a short and a long foam strip, the new one replaces the short and the long one should be disregarded? My litter box is now 6 years old!
@@roninx1413 The shorter part is in against the body, the longer on the edge of the globe liner, left side. Should be the same as the one you removed. Review the video around the 3 minute mark to see it in place as Nathan removes the liner. I dont usually remove the foam when doing a replacement liner (workshop) unless its in very poor condition.
The globe liner usually has waves or folds in it. When fitting, start at the rear middle and work forward, not stretching anything. When you have about half done, move to the front left and right and fit the pockets over the shell casing, so that you know you have it pretty much lined up. The folds are in the bottom 2/3 not in the actual fitting at the top in the channel.
@@Catevolution1 just coming from therapy and I am understanding I say stuff well intentioned but not nicely worded. I loved your video, it was most helpful to me and my cat. You're most welcome. Its a huge bonus that the Litter-Robot 3 is designed to be self repairable, and the instructions are very good (thanks Nathan and Whisker). Its a wonderful appliance and parts self installation make it a great investment over a longer life!

Were do I stick the piece of foam that's included with the liner?
where the original one was, usually located left side mid way around 😻
