Is that due to the void though, or the loop itself? I think in some of Wenjie's notes she remarks that they can't be sure what effect their system will have on the broader world/timeline. Not sure what to think myself, it could be either/both since the loop is based around the island anomaly which is itself void related if I recall.
@@Nurr0 Loop starts 111 years after Outsider is separated from the void, during which times there were some rifts in reality, with Blackreef being the most powerfull known one - and it could even been there before. Then the loop lasted almost 300 years. Outsider mentioned that he was bound to the void so that the void is controlled in some way. Weinje is pissed because she knows that loop could have been going on for thousands for years and she doesn't remember it, and none of her copies remember that! She also knows that the loop can have terrific effect on outside world! She and Dorsey are the worst of them as they are doing what they do, knowing that thousands might die.

With time being warped due to the boundaries between the real world and the void being so thing - i think the eye of the dead god IS the eye of the outsider. His eyes turning red could be a hint of this. The site of his creation caused such a rift in time and space that it overlaps with the site (/time) of his death.
I havent played death of the outsider yet, didnt know there was such an organised cult. I always thought any and all worshipper were loners and outcasts who were contacted in dreams or got a peek into the abyss on one way or the other
I’m pretty sure that the game deathloop is set in the same universe as Dishonored, just way in the future. If so, this could explain what happened to the world in Deathloop. Spoilers for Desthloop btw. At the end of the game we see that the whole world has been completely changed, especially the sky as it has become filled with orange and blue cloud like things. Maybe this is what happens when the void has no avatar and the boundaries between worlds break.
It was confirmed by the devs. but even without it, you can hear sounds from Dishonored in recording in one of the bunkers, some items in the world have logos from Dishonored world and in the finale pistols have "oil cartridges".
I’m fairly certain that they literally cut his name from his very being not just drugged him to forget it, the mark he leaves is in fact his name, it’s a major plot point of the death of the outsider
Thanks! These take a lot of time, so I think my next one will be shorter on a smaller topic, then I'll take a break cause there's other stuff I need to work on...
The outsider said there were other outsiders/gods before him like the dead god in the mountain in DOTO. It would be very interesting to know what the world of dishonored was like before this outsider.
The numbers associated with the symbols that make up the Outsider's Mark are the combination to the locked box to the left. Beyond that it isn't written anywhere whether the order is an alphabet or if Malchiodi just assigned them randomly.
Found another hidden gem on RUclips good shit dude, been playing Dishonored since they came out what do you think of a tv series based around the dishonored world?
So while I love the Dishonoured game I hate DOTO it’s something that didn’t need an explanation something that’s best left for theorising and postulation, personally I feel that this was the dev trying to put a cap on the setting so they in there mind can move on to better things, a truly preposterous idea, they built a fantastic setting that they can do almost anything inside of and they in their limited minds see it as holding them back 🤦. They then make deathloop which is clearly just a dishonoured game without the brand or the lore but looks to be in the same setting with the same gameplay, even the same powers (where that faceparm emoji I think I’ll be needing that a few times here)🤦. So I have said similar things about the Mass Effect setting there is so much you can do with it that doesn’t involve characters we have already had games around, even changing genres! You could make a RTS game or a 4X (talking specifically about ME on this next one) you can make a stealth assassin game following Thane or Bach to dishonoured make a doom like game where you play a marked soldier fighting in a war against another nation that’s gotten super advanced tech somehow. There was just so much more that could have been done with the outsider but now thinking of ways around it what if killing his body didn’t do what it was meant to and all that the death of the outsider did was release his physical bond and now he is even stronger? it just took him a while to pull himself back together after his body was killed? I know undoing dead’s is cheap but it was a bad idea to start with.
As a big dishonored guy and an even bigger lore guy, this is a big find for me, personally
Thanks, there are other lore videos out there, but I still enjoy adding to the collection 8-)
look into gamelogical dig if you like that stuff! great commentary along with bioshock too
Ssme thing
a god with the mind of a boy who just likes giving assassins super powers every once and a while coz its kinda cool is better than anyone else.
Voltaire's quote is honestly such a great way to start this video.
Thanks, I try to bring something relevant each time.
Connecting dishonored to death loop we see what happens without said God in place after you finally escape the loop

Lmao Emily kaldwin intro tellin me to sub goes crazy
Yeah she owed me a favor, so... 8-)
Yeah making someone's voice say something they never said is going to become an actual problem
Bro made Dishonored lore actually sound really interesting. Lovely storytelling Eric, subbed.
Thanks! I think I sound really boring though, cause if I speak fast I start tripping over words. But I'm glad you enjoyed it.

@@ericlewisauthor I just think The Eye looks so similar to the face of the Outsider (from what little we can see of it), it just makes sense!

We need a new sequel to explore Pandyssian Continent, so full of mystery.
As a fan I really want a dishonored sequel. Who knows when this dream will come true.
this was so awesome thank you so much for the video! i love the void and the outsider in the dishonored games!
Great video brother, i really liked it keep up 👏🏻
Thanks! I'll try...
Would love to see a new dishonored where a new outsider is created

Great telling of the story. Learning answers to these mysterys is cool. A well made tv show would be great! Plz tv gods
Good video, I'm fans of Dishonored games, I would like to understand more about his lore and books.
Thank you very much! My next video should be up on Sunday.
One of those Reddit posts was “Why did the outsider choose someone with a gun and a sword? Is he stupid?” 😂 it seemed to work at the time
Thanks for the video.
