Last night I updated my F15 , all modules , exactly step by step with your suggestions and instructions. All perfect . The only difference was that I used VCX se (the chinese icom) instead of e-net cable and it was very fast. HU NBT module less than one hour and 30 min . All the rest only a few min. So I can't thank you enough for the tutorial you made for all of us enthusiasts who love theyr BMWs, and like to work on them. Ones again THANKS A LOT !!!!!!
@@roningumi I had stage 1 remap before , and after the update the softwre was chaged , and I remaped it again . I dont feel the difference ,but is better for sure.

Very good video I also had trouble with the read vin. The main issue I am having is when I flash something I can't see it next time in the available ECUs to flash. Yesterday I did kombi and fem modules now they aren't showing. Today I did nbt_hu which said 1 hour 25 but it took about 25 minutes with enet. I can't use gateway connection maybe because I use a usb Lan adapter. But anyways. More importantly where are the ECUs once I update them? If you know please help. Thanks

Question: I recently replaced my rear active shock absorbers of my F07 and ISTA-P was capable of programming everything related to those shocks and all the surrounding modules. I am fairly sure i can use ISTA-P to basically upgrade the firmware of my entire car. Can you explain the preference for E-SYS vs ISTA-P? Can it do more? Thanks for an awesome video!
ISTA is fine in the official network, if you update at home you should manually update every single ecu with the procedure I showed in my video on Esys;)
well done, I played with e-Sys back in 2015 when I bought my F10 520D and I managed to make some changes to some settings but I have always been puzzled by the crazy complexity of e-sys and the total lack of documentation. As a software developer myself I am really shocked by how a company like BMW couldn't put together anything better than this :) For example here how do you know which ECUs to update? Will these changes potentially affect the engine maps? I assume people use different applications to tune cars, not e-sys.
Man! It was thrilling just to watch that! I did flashed many different HW devices and i also bricked many of them in the past. What would you do, if an ECU got bricked?
Launcher is only needed for FDL coding. Don't take my word for it but I believe they recommend starting without the launcher since the launcher injects code into E-Sys. You want E-Sys to be as 'pure' as possible as to not cause any unforeseen issues (crashing).

Hi, for some reason on BMW f15 it give error when clicking read SVT. I have searched on forums and some models it's fine to read as ECU instead.

@@ceddy1031 you can use esys and enet cable. You also need power supply for battery. You have to download latest psdzdata.

Is the flash procedure in two parts? I see it completes one flash, you clear fault codes and then start a second flash?

esys wasn't meant for end users or dealerships, it was used in the factory to program cars after they're built.
Flashing the NBT drive, does it take about 6 or 7 hours?
